How exactly has one good deed landed me in the penalty box?

Ice Knights defenseman Zach Blackburn has come down with the flu, and my BFF—his PR manager—begs me to put my nursing degree to use and get him back to health. Of course she would call in a favor for the most hated man in Harbor City.

But when he’s finally on the mend and I’m sneaking out of his place, everything go

Tomboy is book three in The Hartigans series by Avery Flynn. While I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, I now have a favorite. I loved this book. If you are wondering, yes, you can read this as a stand alone. Each book in the series is based on one of the siblings in this crazy, loveable, Hartigan family. The characters do recur in each book, though. So you wouldn’t have the emotional connection to the other characters if you haven’t read the previous books!

What a great story. Even got a few tears outta me!
This is the second book that I have read and reviewed by Avery Flynn and I realized that I love reading stories when the characters are so like you and me. They’re not beautiful people. They’re vulnerable but yet have that fiery soul that you just tend to gravitate to.

Usually when I read a book I like one character more than another. And, if I’m honest, I’ll say it’s usually the guy and it is.

But in this story I really enjoyed b

Tomboy is the third standalone in The Hartigans romantic comedy series! While I do own the first book, I just haven't gotten to read it yet, I can say without a doubt that each of the books can completely standalone. All in all, I think this was a really cute story. I love reading books about characters who do good deeds in life and this one hit that mark. Fallon is an ER nurse, but not only that. She also spends qu

I just popped my Avery Flynn cherry and let me just tell you how enrapturing the experience was. This book was amazingly beautiful with fierce characters. I did not want to put it down. I fell in love with these two characters.

Fallon is a tomboy in every sense of the word. She is strong, independent and takes no BS from anybody. She says it like it is and doesn’t give a damn whether the person like her or not but her family is her weakness. She would do just about anything for them. That is wher

I want to start off by saying that I love the Hartigan’s!!!! This fictional family is one of my favorites. So far, the two previous books in this series, I’ve adored. This next installment is no different. Now we get Fallon’s story, another Hartigan sibling. And I must say I really enjoyed everything about this book.

Fallon is a nurse and she gets sucked into taking care of a sick Zach Blackburn, one the Ice Knights hockey

Bravo Avery Flynn!! Another great book! I absolutely loved this book. Now I am having a hard time deciding which is my favorite. Darn you, you marvelous writer you. Darn you!

In this third installment of the Hartigan Series, we not only get to see more Lucy, but we get to know more about Fallon. Fallon is not a girly girl. She doesn't where makeup, fix her hair or date. Fallon is a workaholic nurse. Always taking care of everyone and fueling herself on little to no sleep. Between working at the h

TOMBOY by Avery Flynn is book Three in The Hartigans Series. This is the story of Fallon Hartigan and Zach Blackburn. This was a standalone for me. Fallon is a nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital along with volunteering at a low income medical facility. So her time and stress level are stretched. But when her best friend and future sister-in-law calls asking for her help...she has a hard time saying no. Lucy is a PR for Zach who plays for the Ice Knights and isn't a local favorite. Lucy talks Fallon ...more

Tomboy (The Hartigans #3) by Avery Flynn

No good deed goes unpunished. Avery Flynn never disappoints. When it comes to fiesty heroines and hard to resist heroes, she never misses the mark. Humor takes center stage when it comes to melting your heart. Tomboy is a captivating, laugh out loud temptation. Fallon proves that she's no pushover. Zach is about to meet his match and his heart will not be prepared for the blow. Flynn always delivers a good time.

Oh how I love the Hartigan series! I received an ARC copy from Avery herself and I'm so glad I got the chance to read it and review it. Fallon and Zach's story did not disappoint. He's the bad guy, she's the chick that doesn't take shit from anybody. I won't give anything away but I highly recommend reading the newest installment in the series. I even got a 10 Things I Hate About You vibe from this story. Not sure if it was inspiration for Avery or not. 😁

As a huge fan of Avery Flynn and a self-proclaimed rom-com addict, I was beyond eager to get my hands on Tomboy. I adored the first two books in the author’s Hartigans Series and I was intrigued not only by the seemingly unusual pairing of tomboyish Fallon and a hotshot hockey player, but by the fake relationship storyline as well. The unlikely duo are brought together by a certain pushy publicist, but a case of superstition and a mutually beneficial arrangement have them getting to know each ot ...more

Every time I read Avery Flynn's work, I have this exquisite feeling of happiness and warmth inside me. She never stops making me smile and swoon. Tomboy was no exception. I finished it in one sitting and never wanted the ride to end!

Tomboy can be read as standalone but I feel the reading experience is better if you read about the other Hartigan siblings. I love this family. And Fallon Hartigan is totally my kind of girl. She is an efficient nurse in professional life. She is the kind of strong a

If you've never heard of Avery Flynn (which, sadly, I hadn't until Muffintop, then I suggest you stop what you're doing, go to whichever preferred book retailer you normally throw your money at, and check out the Hartigan series by Ms. Flynn. I'll warn you, if you don't like any detailed love scenes, then she's not going to be your cup of tea. However, she's not what I'd deem "erotica", so... I'll just leave that there.

But, oh my word, does Avery Flynn know how to tell a quirky, flirty love stor

Tomboy is fun and the story is refreshing. I like how both Fallon and Zach deal with the pressure of the #TeamZuck and the instant stardom of their new relationship (although at first fabricated mostly by social media) they didn't let it rule their lives. We live in a world that is dictated by technology and Tomboy was still a fun, steamy, page-turning story at the end of the day.

Zach Blackburn may be the most hated man playing for the Ice Knights, but he has good reason (or mostly good reason)

What do you get when you mix the most hated man in Harbor City with a takes no bull nurse. You get sparks, funny banter, and a really great book!

Zach is a man who has been so hurt in the past he has learned to not let anyone in. He is an island both on and off the ice. This doesn't make him a very fun guy to be around. However when he gets sick his PR manager calls in a huge favor. Zach has no interest in have a nurse around and will do anything get get rid of her.

Tomboy is Oh My God good! I am so enamored by this series. All the characters are real. They could be your best friend or they could be you! Fallon is the tomboy who does her job as a nurse and loves it. She has no time for the girly stuff that other women do. She is beautiful inside and out without the make-up and mani/ pedis. She also has no filter. With a family like hers, she has no choice but to voice her opinion, loudly. I freaking LOVE that about her! She stands up for family and those sh ...more

I just read my favorite book by this author!!! I just love a total asshole with a soft center and a fearless woman who takes him on! A story with intense sexual tension, a great family of crazy characters, the best friends a girl could have and a budding bromance.

Fallon is a nurse. She’s no girly girl. She’s no nonsense and low maintenance. She’s a take no crap caregiver with a big and generous heart. Always doing for others but never asking for help. She comes from a great family and the girl h

Adorable laugh out loud sexy read. I love the Tomboy. This is my favorite book in the The Hartigans series so far. Fallon is an amazing nurse, she tells you how it is and not at all a girly girl. I love her so much. Now Zach he has his issues. But you will love every side of him. He's caring, not too trusting, he will come off as brash but don't let that fool you. The banter between Zach and Fallon will keep you on your toes and glued to the pages. I love how the hatred between the two of them g ...more
Their meet cute him dying of food poison from his one night stand her her best friend sending her to nurse him back to health. It is more of hate hate relationship filled with one upmanship and blackmail to get their way. Zach and Fallon are hilarious as they slow show their underbelly of themselves to each other. By showing their true self love follows after a bumpy ride. Throw in some hockey and the player superstitious beliefs and it was a great story.

I was about to lose it reading this book. It was so good and hit so many true feelings that people battle rather they are famous or not. Tomboy is just a must read because Fallon and Zach are two peas and a pod and momma hit her with the truth one two punch. Yep, the trueness of "she get it from her momma".

Another great read from Avery Flynn with all the humor and heart that I have come to expect. I have been a fan of Ms. Flynn’s for a long time and have yet to be disappointed when I open up a new book from her.

I was on #TeamZuck from the moment Fallon rang the buzzer on Zack’s front door and refused to back down. Fallon was everything I love in a heroine – she takes no crap from anyone, refuses to change who she is for anyone, but will also give all of herself to help anyone. Zack was your typica

"Tomboy" is a cute addition in the Hartigans series (where all books can be read as stand-alones). Fallon has never been into dresses, dressing up, or wearing makeup. She does enjoy her job as a nurse and as a volunteer in a free clinic, which is struggling to stay afloat financially. When her friend Lucy begs her to help take care of one of her clients who seems to have the flu, Fallon is reluctant to agree. To add onto her reluctance, the client is the most hated man due to his getting a large ...more

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this wonderful, snarky, and funny book, Tomboy by Avery Flynn, the book three in her Hartigan series. This book had me on an emotional journey as we followed Fallon and Zach’s love story. This amazing story pulls out all the stops.

These two exemplified the importance of honesty, trust, and love overcoming all obstacles. I loved how strong Fallon was and how she knew she was not a girlie-girl as well as a very caring, compassionate, control freak. Zach learned from his pare

Tomboy may be book 3 in The Hartigans Series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone and I would certainly recommend this book to all Hockey lovers as well as rom com lovers.
Zack Blackburn could well be the most hated defenseman in Harbor City nothing has gone right since he joined the local Hockey Team the Ice Knights but up until now that hasn’t bothered him because he doesn’t need to be liked he doesn’t need friends that way he doesn’t have to explain his past and the secrets he is keep
