I'd say...a 4.4! Despite my hesitant rating, this book definitely has a "star-studded" author line up (and a sweet-ass incidence of foul language for a medical textbook); you probably know des Jardins by now if you're into this stuff, and you can't shake a stick at the Respiratory Director at the Kettering Medical Center, who makes up another third of the book's team. The last third is some consultant, if that matters. She's probably great, sorry.

This workbook is laid out in the form of clinical sim-style case studies, with SOAP response forms beneath each progression of your patient's status (usually a triplet of beginning-middle-end). It really shines when there is a discussion AND a key point question section at the end of a case study.....whiiiiich only happens to be the case (bah dum chuh, a pun) in 6 out of 28 pathologies. I could see it being especially helpful if used in a group study/classroom setting.
