This is ridiculous stupid, and I don't care to read anymore
Navy SEALs undercover on a Texas Ranch? Holly Castillo’s A SEAL NEVER QUITS has some action, some romance, a lot of secrets and some hot SEALs saddling up for danger and covert operations.

When their leader finds himself falling for the local veterinarian, their mission could be compromised if she discovers who he really is. The only problem is the heroine just didn’t come to life for me. I couldn’t believe in her as a fully functioning human, let alone a worthy love interest for the team leader,

A SEAL NEVER QUITS by Holly Castillo is a very different Seal story! Navy Seals in Texas! This is the first book in a new series and I can't wait for the second! There's lots of action and suspense in this story.

This is the first book in the Texas Navy Seals series by Holly Castillo.

First off, this book was pretty good. I liked the overall story, romance and mystery. But this book does what many romances do which is a pet peeve of mine. It keeps telling us over and over how much they each want each other even though they have just met each other and know nothing about each other. Please just show and don’t tell. I was cringing at all the cliche words they kept telling themselves in their mind and mutter

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

Amador "Stryker" Salas is a SEAL who used to live on a ranch. Because of that, he is tasked with a secret missing to see how the drug cartels are able to evade the authorities, both in the United States and across the boarder. He puts together his best team and they start to outfit the ranch with everything they might

A SEAL Never Quits is the first book in Holly Castillo’s new Texas Navy SEAL Series. This is an action-packed military romantic suspense novel with no cheating and a happily ever after.

Lieutenant Amador “Stryker” Salas, along with his hand chosen Navy SEAL Team, have been tasked to work undercover on a Texas cattle ranch to investigate a possible drug cartel related terrorist plot. There he meets Anya Gutierrez, the local veterinarian, who works with the animals on the ranch. The chemistry betw

I enjoyed this book! Its the first book I have read by Holly Castillo and it won't be the last. This is book 1 in the Texas Seals .So more to look forward to. I did feel like maybe there was a novella or something before this. Like I missed something. The story is told from Strykers point, Anya's point and the bad guy. Several bad guys. I thought starting this one would be typical romance suspense with Military guys, (SEALS in this case). When it came to the bad guys it seemed more intense. I pe ...more

The story has moments of being really good but than the author seems to get lost in the romance or details and readers are confused why the seal are working at a ranch. Even though it is explained in the book many many many times but it really doesn't make since in the end. The secondary story is very typical of a "Undercover Special Forces."

The story works but it doesn't flow well and lacks focus many different times.

A Seal Never Quits by Holly Castillo had me reading this romantic suspense well past my bedtime. The characters are so well written and developed they could walk right off the screen/pages! Just had the perfect balance of romance and suspense to make this a five star read in my opinion and will definitely have me coming back for more with this series and author any day of the week! Happy reading!!

A Seal Never Quits by Holly Castillo features an alpha male hero deluxe—Stryker—and a small-town veterinarian named Anya. Their chemistry is excellent and Styker’s journey to opening himself up to love is nice. Most exception is that Anya is no shrinking violet heroine. I won’t give any spoilers, but she can think on her feet.

A Seal Never Quits, is an awesome book to start this series. I wondered how they were going to make it into a series. I am not disappointed.

The “love story” in this book is extremely sappy and a little pathetic at times and it was so frustrating reading two strong independent characters develop such an obnoxious obsession for each other to where the female character Anya just becomes annoying. Honestly I may have given up or struggled my way through it If not for the bigger story and the SEALs mission. The suspense and action part of the book is on point and kept me reading through the night last night. I’m really into the bigger st ...more

A Seal Never Quits is a different type of seal romance. It is set in Texas. This is an odd setting for a seal book but it works. This is the first book is this series and I enjoyed both the setting and the characters. I will read the next book in this series and will be watching for it

This was just a whole lot of yikes because ultimately, the heroine is a static character with very little autonomy and is just there to further the motivations and feelings of men. She also literally has one whole friend.

I liked Stryker and Anya’s story. I also liked the rest of Stryker’s team. I can tell this is going to be a great series. There was a lot of action and build up in this story. One thing I didn't like was how predictable it was at times. Anya and Stryker’s chemistry was present and off the charts. Definitely recommend.

Holly Castillo is a new author to me, and while the blurb for this book was intriguing, the story left me wondering what I missed. The plot had appeal; a group of Seals, undercover on a Texas ranch, and tasked with covert ops across the border, primarily to take down a drug cartel. But that’s where the high points end. Anya is employed as their veterinarian, and the attraction Stryker has for this woman is unfathomable. As a female lead she is boring, unappealing and forgettable; so what Stryker ...more

I loved how I was pulled into this story - the connection between the main characters, the brotherhood shown with the team, and the way the small Texas town and ranch and the missions came to life around me. I appreciated and adored getting to really feel and understand both Anya and Stryker, getting lots of time in both of their heads and riding out the push and pull of their relationship. Add in a crazy bad-guy story line that delivers just the right amount of anxiety, suspense, and surprises ...more

This genre is fairly new to me having only read a handful of romantic suspense books before. I enjoyed the suspense and thrill of the story line which kept me wondering what was next. As far as the romance goes, this is definitely a light romance story, what I describe as a sweet romance. I actually prefer those over the hot and heavy romance stories. For me, the romance is a nice bonus added to a good suspense story. I look forward to reading the other character's stories when they are released ...more

This group of Seals are assigned an undercover job to take down a drug cartel. Anya is the veterinarian who cares for the animals on the ranch the Seals are running. Where they found such a multifaceted group is a mystery. The romance is challenging for both Anya and Stryker, as she is inexperienced and he has been hurt. The danger of their mission adds to the complications. The other group members leave plenty of room for future books and to continue the mission. I voluntarily read and reviewed ...more

I did not care for the writting style of this author. The characters lacked depth, I never really felt like I new them and their story. Which ment the romance suffered for me. The plot just sort of fell by the wayside for me.

My first read by this author and the first in the Texas Navy Seal’s, A Seal Never Quits was just an ok start to this series for me. I enjoyed the mystery surrounding the story but found it hard to connect with Anya. I will read more as overall it is worth the read and as I would like to see where the author takes the series from here.

Things I enjoyed about this book :
The seal team
The mission
The setting
The mystery.
Things I didn’t enjoy: honestly, the romance. Stryker was likeable. Anya wasn’t really. I would read the second though because the intrigue was good. Thank you to netgalley for the ARC.

I received a copy of A SEAL Never Quits by Holly Castillo from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first novel by Holly Castillo that I had read and overall, it missed the mark for me. I like the author's style of writing and felt that the plot should have been interesting given the story's summary, but the plot wasn't evenly paced and Anya, the female main character, was kind of boring and just weakly fleshed out. She was so dishwater bland that I just coul

Holly grew up spending many lazy summer days racing her horses bareback in the Texas sun. But whenever Holly wasn't riding her horses or competing in horse shows, she was found with pen and paper in hand, writing out romantic love stories about Texas Heroes.

Today, Holly lives in a small community just south of San Antonio, with her husband and two children. On the family's ranch, surrounded by cat
