Powerful and disturbing, #ThatNight by Cyn Balog was a nail biting suspense voiced from the perspective of Hailey, a teenager dealing with the aftermath of her boyfriend Declan's suicide.

DNF close to the end. I skipped ahead to find out what happened but this book was just TOO depressing to continue. I don't know what it was about this book because I feel like I've read similar books but yeah I guess the emotions were too real. I will say it was VERY engrossing trying to figure out what the heck went on as I was reading, so 5* for that. No rating otherwise cuz it wouldn't be fair.

This suspenseful tale of an alleged suicide kept me glued to the pages to find out if Hailey's theories about Declan's suicide were true. The predictability was there, I suspected the real situation early on, but Cyn continuously moved the thread, pushing me in different directions enough to keep me hooked into the story. This book was a dark funhouse of shifting characters and personalities which ended up leaving me satisfied with the ride.

I was able to read this within only a little over 24 hours! Why? Because this is crazy good! If you want a fantastic thriller that has clues within every page being turned, Cyn Balog has created exactly what all thriller lovers will want to read over and over again. The clues and the mystery itself had me biting my nails throughout the whole read, making me want more. To be honest, there are so many things that I want to say about this work of art, but I know that I cannot all fit them into this

Holy crap that was intense! That's the first book in a really long time that I've read in one sitting. Could not put it down because I just had to know what happened to Declan. So many twists and turns and I was left guessing right up to the very end.

Despite the number of editing mistakes - missing words, words in the wrong order and repeated words in the same sentence out of place, I was really enjoying the story. I empathized with Hailey, our main character, and I felt for her and her loss of Declan. I mean how can you read about two people, who love each other that much, and not feel that great loss with the surviving person?
