This was a good second chance story for both our main characters. It isn't a second chance for them as a couple but more like a second chance in life.

Peyton was happily married, living a normal life back in Seattle with her husband when tragedy strikes. A year after her husband was killed in a car accident, she goes back to the place where she was last happy, Stone Creek.

Boone's a changed man. After moving back home after his wife betrayed him, he doesn't think marriage will ever be an option f

I love a bit of romance and suspense in a small town setting; exactly what’s on the menu for the first in Stacey Kennedy’s Dangerous Love series, and bringing the sexy is Stoney Creek’s resident Detective, Boone Knight and the town’s newest resident, lingerie aficionado, Peyton Kerr.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I loved this little gem! It had suspense, romance, and 2 very deserving characters of a HEA. Even though the mystery wasn't hard to solve, it made this book that much better. I also sensed a bit of one of my favorite author's writing style, which made this book that much better.

This was a fun read. The plot was predictable and it dragged sometimes, many scenes felt useless and a but boring. I am the type of person who enjoys a mystery that is hard to solve in stories, and I predicted this one since the character appeared. Other than that, the characters where dimensional and the writing was good. It touched on topics like loss wnd grief beautifully and carefully, showing the reasons behindnthe character’s difficulties. I liked the fact that Peyton had a languerie shop, ...more

Wonderful start to a new romantic suspense series

I’ve been a fan of Stacey Kennedy’s for a number of years.
Peyton and Boone’s story Naughty Stranger the first in her new Dangerous Love series is a great example why I became and remain a fan.
Realistically crafted main and secondary characters, sizzling chemistry, wonderful friendships, sharp smart dialogue and interesting plot lines that took my emotions from heartbreak to happiness. I could not put down this book reading it in one sitting. I am

Good start to a new series. Peyton and Boone are hot from the first kiss. There's angst and a bad guy, plus hot sex. It just lacked some of the usual spark that I'm used to from Ms. Kennedy. Lots of peeps in Stoney Creek to find their own HEAs.

This was a pleasant surprise! To be honest, I was not the biggest fan of how the relationship got started because it was purely based on lust. In other words, it was insta-lust between Peyton and Boone. I found the romance to be a bit boring because they jumped into bed together SO quickly that there was barely any sexual tension leftover. But I must say that Boone was definitely my type of hero – he is effortlessly sexy. He doesn

I really enjoyed this story combining small town romance with a touch of mystery and suspense.

On her very first night in Stoney Creek where Peyton plans to make a fresh start, she ends the evening kissing a stranger (Boone) outside the local bar, owned by Boone's sister, Kinsley. This was definitely not intentional and given the knocks which both Peyton and Boone have suffered, the chemistry is not something which the

You can never go wrong with a Stacey Kennedy book. Her writing is perfection and the characters stories are so well written.

In Naughty Stranger, we meet Boone (holy hotness) and Peyton. Boone is an amazing detective, but due to past experiences he doesn’t trust his instincts anymore. Peyton is dealing with so much, plus she has just opened up her business when everything starts happening.

Peyton moves from Seattle to a little town in Maine to start over after losing her husband. Boone is a detective in this little town and they meet and kiss her first day there. Fast forward a month or so of Peyton ignoring Boone but becoming fast friends with his sister, they are suddenly thrown together again because of a murder. What starts as mutual attraction and keeping things casual, turns to so much more as Boone tries to solve a murder and keep Peyton safe.

I personally love the first book of a new series by an author I automatically 1 click and Naughty Stranger had me turning the pages not wanting the end to come. It may be different from the days of Club Sin when I first found Stacey but it shows Stacey can definitely write heartbreak and angst just as good.

Peyton and Boone have both suffered heart ache on different levels and swear they aren't looking to give their hearts to anyone in the future just a few nights of fun here and there but then

I really enjoyed this romantic suspense story. This was a new-to-me author, and I'm highly anticipating the rest of this series!

Peyton Kerr fled Seattle, and her nursing career, after losing her husband. She moved to a small town they both had loved on an amazing vacation together, Stoney Creek, Maine. She uses the insurance payout to buy her small house, and a small business on the square, a lingerie store. She worked at one while she was a nursing student, and always enjoyed herself. She want

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book has been hard to rate. On one hand, it has been a nice surprise that the mystery part is an important part of the story. On the other hand… when there is not someone bleeding, the book gets boring pretty fast. At the end, it feels like a nice first step for a saga, but it could have been handle better.

I must say, this book was pretty darn good. I read some of the reviews in advance and saw that most people loved it, so I went in with high expectations. I love a good romantic suspense and even though this one had a lot of bad things happening, I still enjoyed having that touch of humor and a whole lot of sexy to go with it - it made for a well-rounded contemporary romantic suspense.

This is a romantic suspense story about Peyton, a newcomer to a small town and Boone, police detective she falls for. But just as Peyton starts to relax into her new life, terrible things start to happen around her.

I have to admit that I’m conflicted about this story. The premise, the blurb and the bones of this story work. It just isn’t developed as well as I’d expect from such an established author. I was distracted by the ch

Sometimes the perfect book comes my way just when I need it and today there could not have been a better book for me to read.
