Another 5 star plus story from the wonderful Heidi Swain. Such strong, believable and lovable characters you can relate to. Family relationships are the forefront of this story, and family can be defined as a group of people with whom you mostly get on with, Heidi explores what happens when not all families grow up nurtured and respected. Poppy is a kind and somewhat overly enthusiastic member of her local community. Jacob is the mysterious and grumpy next door neighbour. However, when their worlds collide and Jacob realised nobody will take no for an answer will the wall finally crumble? Poppy’s Recipe for Life sees Poppy attempting to fix numerous damaged souls and her brother is no exception when he arrives back on the scene. Another heartwarming read from @heidi_swain

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. I have to say, I absolutely loved this book! As a whole, I thought it was a heart-warming and really feel good read that had me hooked from the beginning.

We meet Poppy, kind, loving and a protagonist that I rooted for from the very start. With more than enough heartache in her life, a new life in Nightingale Square could well be the answer to all her problems. Enter Jacob, moody and handsome and her younger brother

Although passionate about writing from an early age, Heidi Swain gained a degree in Literature, flirted briefly with a newspaper career, married and had two children before she finally plucked up the courage to join a creative writing class and take her literary ambitions seriously.

A lover of Galaxy bars, vintage paraphernalia and the odd bottle of fizz, she now writes contemporary fiction and enj
