I am ecstatic to bring you my next project, LAST SUMMER. Thank you for adding my book to your Goodreads shelf. And when it comes up on your to-be-read pile of books, thank you for reading. I can’t wait for you to discover what my next protagonist, Ella Skye, has in store for you. Enjoy! Kerry xo

PS: LAST SUMMER is a stand-alone book, and not part of a series. It’s my first stand-alone since ALL THE BREAKING WAVES. I’ve been told by several early readers that LAST SUMMER is compulsively readable,

My thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

LAST SUMMER twists and turns and leaves you with a dropped jaw at the end of your reading journey.. The story opens with Ella Skye conducting an interview with a famous actress, who reveals that she knows the secret to erasing your sorrowful past memories. Right away, I was on the alert when, in the next chapter, I read that Ella has lost not only her memory, but a baby as well. Damien

I’ve had this book to preview since February and got right into reading it. I,was only able to get to a few chapters done and then life got in the way and I had to set it aside. Going forward to April and I finally got the chance to start reading again and I finished this absolutely, awesome book in two days. This is Kerry Lonsdale’s first stand-alone book since finishing the “Everything” series and Kerry just keeps getting better and better!
This unputtdownable page-tuner had a plot twist that

Coming off a wildly successful series, Kerry Lonsdale is back with her first stand-alone since the conclusion of the Everything series and she is back with a vengeance!

When Ella wakes up in the emergency room following a car accident and having suffered a miscarriage with absolutely no memories of ever being pregnant, she is desperate to piece together the gaps in her mind, but nothing is as it seems - not her marriage, her friendships and her career - including a piece on a famous outdoorsman

Ella wakes up in the hospital not being able to remember the car accident that cost her the life of her unborn baby, in fact, she can’t remember being pregnant at all. She tries to figure out the missing parts of her memory and she discovers secrets, lies, and betrayals along the way. The story kept my interest the whole time, I found the characters intriguing and I did not predict some of the turns and twists in the story. I could not put the book down, I was curious to see how it would end. Th ...more

Great googly moogly. That was such an amazing trip I just took. Come closer. I am going to admit something here. Generally, I know what I'm going to rate a book before I even finish it. A bit short-sighted, but whatever. They're my ratings to do with what I like. With this one, I loved the story, I loved the writing, I loved the characters, but something was bothering the heck out of me. And it was fact that this woman rightfully had so many questions, and she let all the people who could give h ...more

I spent an entire afternoon completely immersed in Kerry Lonsdale's upcoming book, Last Summer. Ella is suffering from memory loss after a car accident. She can't even remember being pregnant or losing the baby. As Ella and her husband, Damian, try to keep their marriage from imploding, devastating secrets are revealed. I'm hoping for a second book to continue this story!

I’ve been a huge fan of KL’s books since her debut and this book is such a big departure from her books, but in a really awesome way! Her other books have been solidly Women’s Fiction and this was much edgier and much sexier than her previous books and I loved every single page.

This was basically the definition of a binge read for me, I was supposed to be buddy reading it with my friends Chelsea and Jamie and ended up tearing through it because I seriously could NOT put it down! It was such a fa

When Ella Skye wakes up in her hospital room, she doesn’t remember the accident that caused her to lose her baby—-in fact, she doesn’t remember being pregnant at all. This is the premise for Last Summer, an unputdownable, entertaining, and tantalizing book. Not only was I caught up in the twisty-turny suspense in this story, I was emotionally invested in the characters and the fact that love and pain were the catalyst for their intricate web of lies and deceit. I was fortunate enough to read an early version of this manuscript. It is, without doubt, my favorite of Kerry's books: a rip-roaring adrenaline rush from the first page to the last. You don't know who to believe as the story--and hot sex scenes--unfolds with red herrings and whip-lash twists and turns which, although unexpected, make perfect sense. I have no doubt there will be comparisons to GONE GIRL, especially given the characters' personalities, but the story is not quite what you think it ...more

I've been a fan of Kerry Lonsdale's writing over the past few years. She never fails to amaze and surprise me. Last Summer is no exception!

Right from the start, Last Summer was a compelling story. I had a hard time putting it down. It kept me on my toes and I had no idea what would happen next. While I was able to guess one small piece of the puzzle, everything else was a complete surprise. As always, Kerry did a great job describing people and settings. Lonsdale is a favorite on Amazon and understandably so. Women's fiction with a twist. I loved the characters, even the ones who turnout to be ridiculously flawed. If you could willfully erase certain memories, would you? is a prevailing theme as well as the notion of honesty in a relationship. An enjoyable quick read with a surprise ending.

There is no better feeling then when I close a book and find myself unable to wipe the ear to ear grin from my face. Last Summer pushed me out of me comfort zone and took me on a twisty turning road, depositing me at a destination I didn't expect or suspect existed. Bravo Kerry Lonsdale! I read a galley of this novel a few months prior to publication date. I couldn't put it down. Here's my endorsement: “Move over, Gone Girl, and make way for Last Summer, a taut, intricately plotted novel of secrets and lies, love and betrayal. I thought I knew where the story was going, but the final, shocking twist gave me a serious case of whiplash. Just wow.” —A. J. Banner, USA Today and #1 Amazon Kindle bestselling author

This book just blew my mind! Filled with lies and deceit. Ella is in the hospital, she's lost her baby, but remembers nothing since last summer, not even the child she was carrying. The plot is so well crafted and your mouth will be left hanging open the last few chapters. My heart was pounding and I couldn't believe what I was reading. What an incredible storyl ...more

This book was such an unexpected surprise... it was a psychological thriller... a domestic suspense... a twisted relationship tale... and to be honest having just finished it in one sitting... Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale was one of the most exciting and surprising books I’ve read this year. The idea behind the plot was very original and the story-building was great throughout. Wow!!! This book is incredible, so fascinating, it is unputdownable with twists that top one another till you don't know who or what to believe. YOU GUYS. One of my favorite authors, Kerry Lonsdale, was nice enough to let me have an ARC of her upcoming release, “Last Summer”. I cannot even tell you how excited this made me, as I have read (and loved) all of Kerry’s other books. If you haven’t read them, please go do so immediately. I’ll wait. And since we are still in the full swing of winter doldrums, this steamy beach read is a welcome distraction from the temperatures...

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars!

I received the ARC of this book and pre-purchased a copy. I have read all of Kerry Lonsdale’s books and I think she is a gifted, wonderful author. This book is another gem to add to her collection.

As I was reading the book, I thought I had the plot of the book figured out (turned out to be not true!). That was okay to me, since I usually am in this position to guess the outcome when I read the types of books that I do (Women’s Fiction, Romance). I

Lonsdale, fresh off her popular Everything series, shines with her page-turning stand-alone Last Summer. Readers will immediately be drawn into the story of Ella Skye, a journalist who finds herself hospitalized with short-term memory loss. Suddenly, nothing is as it seems. Not her marriage and not the man she's been interviewing. As she tries to piece together the chunk of time seemingly lost to her, the reader is taken on an exhilarating (and sexy) journey with a surprise twist you won't see c ...more

It was extremely difficult for me to decide upon a rating for Kerry Lonsdale’s Last Summer. It was a book that had me hooked, one I powered through in no time at all, but it was a bit too predictable for my liking. As much as I enjoyed watching everything come together, I worked out almost every detail very early in the story.

I can easily see Last Summer becoming a favourite of fans of suspenseful drama, the kind of books I refer to as domestic thrillers, as it’s a story built upon lies and dece
