Riley Kingston returned from Costa Rica downtrodden, thinking her dissertation was a failure, and not feeling very good about herself. Her cousin gives her a job working on his land.

Coen Monroe is dealing with severe PTSD from his last Delta Force mission. He has set up camp in the middle of nowhere on his friend’s land. He has 30 days to “work through it” before he can go back to the field. All he wants is to be left alone to deal with his demons.

Searing Need by Tracey Devlyn
Steele Ridge: The Kingstons #3

Curiosity and book smarts do not necessarily give Riley Kingston the intelligence to see a dangerous situation and leave it alone. Hear a scream – run to it – and then not run away when a scary man appears. See poachers – confront them instead of sending for help. Be told there might be a threat and pooh-pooh it as unlikely and be upset with the male testosterone that is roused in males of her family. That said, Riley IS able to think on

Riley Kingston is feeling defeated after her failure in Coasta Rica. Now she's back home and working at the Steeles' wild life research center. While surveying the area she sees Coen Monroe. He wants to be alone to deal with his emotional issues caused by the death of his team. I loved how Riley and Coen formed a connection. They are both dealing with emotional issues. Their chemistry is powerful. When Riley becomes a killer's target, Coen becomes her protector. I liked that he was there for her ...more

I'm really enjoying this series :)

Reily and Coen's story was a lot of fun to read. The way they met was...unique, to say the least (;-)) and it set the tone nicely for the rest of the story. Searing Need is a solid blend of romance and suspense, with two main characters who are each haunted by their pasts. Coen has retreated into the woods to attempt to get away from his (so far, it isn't going particularly well) and Reily is essentially trying to

Danger abounds as we head back to Steele Ridge! With the third book in the Kingston family spin-off, we get cousin Riley's story. We get a nice glimpse into what's up with the beloved Steele family as we delve into the extended family a bit more, which is always fun. Riley is the studious Kingston, and she's a bit down on herself right now and looking for something to pass her time. A manly military man hanging out on Steele land just might fit the bill! I'm torn on this story. I

**I received a copy of Searing Need from the author in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions are mine alone and not solicited**

Searing Need by Tracey Devlyn takes you back to Steele Ridge with the Kingston family this time who are cousins to Jonah and family. This time the story centers around Riley Kingston a Ethnobiologist whose last project in Costa Rica failed (Or did it?) And Coen Monroe who is dealing with own ghost as his last Delta Force mission went FUBAR and he's

What a fantastic story! Searing Need by Tracey Devlyn is an entertaining romantic suspense story filled with danger, romance, the great outdoors (of course), Kingstons and Steeles! You also get to experience a little camping while reading this book, a bit of Cost Rica, experience cocky Reid Steele and do a little yoga to relax. Who wouldn’t want to read this book?

Riley is an amazing botanist that comes up on a man camping in he forest while working. This man is on Steele land. Why is he here?

This is book 3 of the Kingston series . A spinoff of the Steele series. The stories in this series belong to the Kingston cousins.
I have to confess that I have only read two of the Steele books and none of the previous Kingston stories and for that, feel that I was at a disadvantage.
That said, the story grasps your attentioin page one. It centers around Riley Kingston and Coen Monroe. Riley is a brilliant ethnobotanist , who is still recovering from the effects of being fired from the dream job

Okay, so there's so much going on in this book that I hope that I can do it justice without giving anything away. First, we have Riley Kingston, a genius botanist, who is back home after a dream project in Costa Rica, in which she feels like she was a failure, though she's close to her PhD. Then there's Coen Monroe, a Delta Force operator, who is staying on Steele Ridge land to get his head together after a mission went oh so wrong. They meet when Riley is cataloging plants while he's having a ...more

Returning to Steele Ridge I know I will be immersed in a story of romance, mystery, suspense and intrigue...Coen and Riley’s story took off from its onset gaining momentum through subterfuge and with flashbacks from a subplot that brought with it the horrors of the evils in the world destroying the lives of the men and women risking their many instances their mental and emotional keep us safe from those evils.

I had difficulty putting the book down once I started

This is the story of Riley Kingston, who having been fired from a project in Costa Rica has now moved back to her hometown and takes a job cataloguing plants, until she meets the sexy Delta Force operator Coen Monroe who has set up camp on the land, needing to work through his PTSD issues before returning to the field.

Riley is the best of the Kingston family for me. She is so smart that she often pushes people to do what she needs, in a good way. She is likeable and fun. She is also the overprotected youngest girl of the family. And boundaries are going to be pushed when that happens. Then there is Coen. He is his own basket of issues. But now he is also Riley’s. These two practically stalk around each other. The suspense portion of the story was unique to me and was intriguing. I did have a little bit if a ...more

Searing Need

WOW! Another great story of the Kingston family. This story is about Riley and Coen. Riley is a feisty and very independent woman. Riley stumbles upon Coen when she heard a scream. Coen is a tortured soul who tries to rid himself of his night terrors. As these two get to figure each other out, Riley doesn't realize she is in danger until it is upon her. Coen feels the need to protect her from the danger and himself. As the time passes, these two start to fall in love with each other.

Searing Need by Tracey Devlyn is an exciting new Romantic Suspense release. #3 in her amazing "The Kingstons" series, but can be read as a stand alone. FeaturesDelta Force operator, Coen Monroe and Riley Kingston, the brains of the Kingstons' family and a talented botanist. Set in Steele Ridge.

Face paced, well written with interesting and engaging characters. The storyline is unpredictable, intriguing and captivating. Filled with danger, romance, sexy men, feisty women, a sociopath, with a HEA.

First off I really love these books that take place in Steele Ridge. This was no different. It was hard to put down. The suspense in this one had me on the edge of my seat and gasping at the twists. Not gonna lie a few times I had to stop reading because a few parts were hard to get through. The emotion in this book just poured off the pages. Between Riley and Coen my heart took some beating. Never fear there was plenty of humor and heart that packed a punch as well. This book is so

All I can say is wow! This fast-paced, action-packed drama had my heart pumping as I held on through a whirlwind of emotions. I felt an instant connection with take-charge fearless ethnobotanist Riley Kingston and loved her dynamic with the other characters, especially Coen Monroe, Delta Force operator who goes to Steele Ridge to purge his PTSD demons.

Even though this is the third book in the series, it is the first I have read and I had no problem reading it as a standalone. "Searing Need" is a

This one is so good. I love that Riley is such a take charge and fearless woman. I also love that she doesn't get flustered too much when she sees such a hot guy naked. I love the action in this book, it really had me turning the pages to see what would happen next. This is also a sweet love story. It tackles the tough subject of PTSD and the author did a great job with the subject of PTSD.
Coen is such a strong character and also one that tugs on your heartstrings. He is the perfect match for

Searing NEED Tracey Devlyn is book Three in the Steel Ridge: The Kingstons series. This is the story of Riley Kingston and Coen Monroe. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.

Wounded warrior meets scientist

Didn’t know much about Riley before this book but I like her curiosity about everything. And she’s not a menace like her family calls her. She’s a very intelligent person who’s brain is constantly moving and learning and figuring out things.
Coen is a very wounded warrior. He’s been through a lot and just wanted some R&R in the woods to recover from a mission gone horribly bad. But he piques Riley’s curiosity and that’s all it took.
Very good story with an

Really, REALLY good!! I love this series and with each book the stories just keep getting better. Riley, the girl whose mind never stops running and Coen, a man who is tortured by his previous mission were soooo perfect for each other. This is a exciting, sweet & sexy and a perfect “opposites attract” story. I didn’t want to end and I hope we hear more about Riley and Coen in future books!

Nice Read!

I enjoyed reading this book! I loved the connection between Riley and Coen! But I hated the fact that she was so head strong that when a soldier tells you to stay put to keep you safe, you have to defy him because you feel that what you can do tribute is better than what a trained soldier can do! That made me mad all thru this book because Riley was very stubborn! Other than that, I enjoyed this read and others will too!

This book may not be for everyone bc it does have some pretty graphic violence in it. It’s a romantic suspense and I really enjoyed it. This story is pretty realistic about a soldier trying to move on with his life & a strong woman fighting for the man she loves. I can’t wait To read the next book!
