First of all, I loved that this book's setting was less than a hour and a half from where I live currently. And bonus points for mentioning Macado's which is one of my favorite places to eat, although I have never been to the one in Radford. The University is called Bradford in the book but was obviously based on Radford University in Radford, Virginia. And I am curious if there is a real story about the island ...more

Guardians by Lindsay Chamberlin is a wonderful story writen by a brand new author which I have fallen in love with. This has so much action and drama in this whole story. I can not wait to get to read the next story in this series.

The book started slow, but the more I read the more I was sucked in. The author is great with words and building the characters. I won this book through the GoodReads giveaways. I enjoyed the book and felt the story line was well thought and original. The author does a good job with mixing action and romance. What would improve the book would be tighter editing. Be prepared for a cliffhanger ending!
