It started with a rumor, that the Bahiri still exist—peaceful worshipers of the Nero and Neron. After what happened on Korpillion, Valen told Nova to find them, and to stay away ...more
I want to say so much but know that I can't because I will give so much away. You have to read each of these books in order as they are told in episodes, almost like a TV show.
Nova is learning about her new discovery and who she has always been able to connect to in her mind. She's on a path with her fath ...more
Also, that kiss was awesome! (if you've read it, you know what I'm talking about) All the feels.
I like the world building and the story arc. It's different and well developed. It has a pretty solid space opera feel to it and the romance element is well presented and well paced. I re ...more
This follows Nova immediately after Neron Rising where she along with her companions are dealing with the aftermath of Korpillion being overtaken by The Dominion. I was very eager to read the next part, and it didn’t disappoint - I did give it four stars out of five because I felt with the constant space travel in this section it wasn’t ...more
I loved this! So so much! I though I would like the main characters a lot more, but it turns out, I love the whole squad. I've come to realize that I like squads, a lot. The only one missing is Valen (the Kylo Ren of this story). If I said the first book reminded me of Starwars, this is like a confirmation of that.
I was so happy reading this book. Everything was just awesome and exciting! I was so glad that not everything was about the romance and ...more
It picks up right after where it left off in episode one.
You have Nova, a newly discovered Nero, and Valen, the galaxies only known Nero who works for the Dominion who are basically plotting universe domination.
Through their mental link the continue to communicate with each other as Nova deals with her planet and the only life she’s known being taking over by the dominion, le ...more
My biggest complaint is the ending which stops out of nowhere. It's not a cliffhanger, more like a person stopping mid-sentence. It's almost as if the author picked a spot at random to stop, so there's no arc at all.
BUT, I liked the rising stakes and the complicated relationship wi ...more
This galaxy is a complicated place, and I know Reena is right: there is no black and white. Maybe I’ll feel different again in an hour. Maybe I’ll feel lost again, tomorrow. But I feel like I just made a discovery..
In this episode we follow Nova (now wanted by the Dominion) as she streams through the galaxy with her family, to find a safe haven and answers.
The impressive world building continues as we get t
With her travel companions plus one they picked up on a supply stop, Nova continues to find the people that can help her figure what and/or who she is, the Bahiri.
Her secret of what she can do doesn't remain a secret for long when the bounty hunters find Nova on a distant planet. She does what she dislikes the most..ki ...more
This book picks up exactly where the first one left off. Nova and her family aboard a ship and have made it off Korpillion. There were some parts of this book I found slow and not enough action happened for me but I did enjoy the chemistry between Nova and Valen but I was hoping for a bit more of them together, I’m looking forward to se ...more

I received an eARC via NetGalley and am choosing to leave a fair and honest review.
I read books 1 and 2 together. I highly recommend that readers do this. Reading books 1 and 2 back to back gives the series a little more tension and speed.
Nova and her makeshift family are on the run from the Dominion. They are moving from planet to planet while Nova begins to question the black and white/good and evi ...more
My only complaint is that the books are way too short. When books are more novellas instead of full lengrh novels, I feel it is the author's ploy to get more money out of the reader. Thank god the books are absolutely amazing...otherwise, I wouldn't pay for a 30k word count novel.
I do wish there is more Valen. I need more of a love story, although the adventure is enough to satisfy me. I hope he is in the 3rd book more. This book is labeled as a space fantasy romance...well give ...more
This next segment of the series follows Nova and her friends' escape from their home planet to avoid the destruction that the Dominion will do to obtain Neron. Nova was told by Valen to seek out the Bahiri so Nova can learn and control her abilities. Nova becomes selfish when she asks Valen to come to her. When they meet, sparks fly, but also the truth about Valen's past and why he works for Cyrillius. Nova and Valen still have t ...more
