After learning of Harper's devastating secret, Eric is devastated himself. Still reeling from it, he saves her from a hired gun. Safe - for now - this pair has to work together to figure out who exactly wants them dead and to see past all of the Kingston lies.

The Bastard - Eric holds this title as a shield, hiding behind it, using it to excuse his actions and behaviors. He may be the 'bastard' son of the Kingston family, but he is no bastard. This man is so honorable and noble and caring. He

Ever since the first book ended on that huge cliffhanger I have been anxious to get this book into my hands. I HAD to know what would happen next and no, it was not what I expected. This whole book has not been what I expected and that is why I'm loving it so much.

There is so much happening and I don't know which was is up. It feels like it's Harper and Eric against the world but that's not really true. They have the Walker Brother's security on their side. They have Grayson and Mia on their

OMG seriously? Another cliffhanger. Grrrr
I have to say that I have a few mixed feelings about this book. I love the plot and I love that we get to spend time with Eric, Grayson, and the Walker Brothers.

But there are things that bug me about the story.

One of the first things is the amount of conversation. The back-and-forth and rehashing the same points over and over again by Eric and Harper just got to me. It bogged down the story and it just got to be too much in some areas.

This one picks up right at the end of the first one.

More family drama after the end of the first one. He, of course, saves her, but from who...we still don't know. A lot less sex in this one with a bunch more angst and drama....and then another blankity-blank cliffy

How is this considered a duet (look at the cover of this book and the previous) when there's a cliffy, again...curious minds want to know

ARC received for an honest review

This follows on right where the previous book ended.

But for me, this time, I don't know, I just wasn't feeling it.

Harper and Eric's story was like watching an action movie. There was just no stopping from the first word to the last.

However, I felt that this time there was just to much happening, but not much going on at the same time, if that makes any sense?

It was lots of trust me, don't do that, don't go there. I felt there was too much of the same old same ol

4.5 stars! This series just keeps getting better and better. Plenty of action, suspense, romance and steam in this second installment of the Filthy Trilogy.
Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Well, the Bastard proved that he was anything but at the beginning of this story. Unfortunately, there is something he's keeping from Harper and we have no idea what it could be.

The Bastard continues with The Princess. The intrigue, distrust, secrets and lies continue. Only now we are in New York instead of Denver. The plot thickens and, at this point, it could be just about anyone trying to silence Eric and Harper. Regrettably, we still don't know who it is. Honestly, I really have no idea who

Secrets overflow between Eric and Harper, and while Eric was broken by the secret revealed to him he still rushed to the princess' side when a hired gun threatened her life. In a new city, the two are safe for the moment, but the threat and the secrets loom over them. Just as they begin to work together to protect themselves and others another secret threatens to tear them down.

Okay, first, I had no idea this was going to be a trilogy so when I hit the cliffy on this one I just about lost it. And not just because I’ve got to wait for the next book, but because we had just been invited into a scene that I thought for sure was going to help end the battle between Eric and the Kingstons. Instead, there are even more unanswered questions. Gah! I need to know, and I need to know now!

This is another wild ride of questions and few answers, intrigue, drama and mystery. We’ve

The Princess by Lisa Renee Jones is book 2 in the Filthy Duet / Series. This continues the story of Harper and Eric, so you should really read the previous book "The Bastard" first to fully enjoy their story here.
OMG I have been waiting for this book. I had to know what is going on with Eric and Harper and this did not disappoint! It kept me turning pages after pages wanting more...and Ms. Jones even has added to their story but adding an additional book called "THE EMPIRE" I need that

The Princess begins mere seconds after the heart-pounding ending of The Bastard.

The mystery lingers throughout—one I’m still interested in solving—but a great deal of repetition also persists. In an ideal world, The Princess would tie up all the loose ends and be the end of this series. Even with the threats and danger, there doesn’t seem to be enough substance to accommodate a trilogy. It feels like the author is stretching out the storyline, causing it to drag. I’m in it for the long haul

I quite enjoyed The Bastard, the first instalment of this trilogy, so I was eagerly awaiting the moment when the second book arrived on my Kindle. I was disappointed.

The Princess picks up right after the cliffhanger that ended the story in the Bastard. You need to have read the Bastard, otherwise this story won't make sense.

Eric, having seen the error of his ways, has returned to save Harper in the warehouse, just in time. This is the first part of the story I didn't like; he stormed out at the

The Princess is the second book in the Filthy trilogy. You must read The Bastard first before reading The Princess.

Harper and Eric's story continues as we follow them to New York. Though not even NY is safe for them at this point. Whatever is happening with Eric's family is coming after them whether they can stop it or not is something else all together.

Not only do they have to worry about the evil family machinations they're trying to rebuild

Love Eric & Harper story, he's a bastard but savant, genius and self made billionaire, he left his fathers grasp which was an empire also Kingston Motors. He left The Princess behind also because she was part of their world especially after he saw his father give her a kiss to the temple like a Princess deserved.

The story doesn't end that way Eric couldn't get Harper and their passion to leave the more he tried the more he wanted her, that was until the day she The Princess showed up in his

I fairly enjoyed the first book in this trilogy - The Bastard. Eric and Harper had chemistry filled with fire and passion and the plot kept me intrigued enough with all of the secrets to want to continue on with the second book in the Filthy Trilogy.

The Princess picks up right where the last book left off with Eric immediately returning to Harper after he stormed off having heard some upsetting news that Harper had kept from him, which luckily he came back just in time when Harper finds herself

She needs a hero. He's determined to be so much more. Will the heartache in their past, prove deadly to their future? The Princess finds Harper and Eric smack dab in the middle of a dangerous situation. Trust is a commodity they can't afford and the stakes are getting ever higher. The choices they make next can have far reaching implications. Eric is hard to like, but impossible not to love. For him the world begins and ends with Harper. Harper tends to be a tad naive when it comes to the people ...more

I was really excited about reading where Eric and Harper's story would take them after reading The Bastard, but I just don't think that this book has given me anything other than a prolonged dragged out story that changed from being a duet into a trilogy with no valid reason. This book was just too much of going back and forth over nothing in particular and of Eric saying do you trust me and Harper saying the same thing over and over again. There was far too much sex as well just to fill up the ...more

"This is our time, but that doesn't mean that we'll end up together. What is meant to be might be the end of us, and that thought has me throwing caution to the wind."

The Bastard and the Princess are about to do me in. The secrets and suspense are escalating and the answers are few and far between. Just as I think I'm starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel a train starts heading my way and it's dark again. I want to throw my Kindle, but I need it to finish this nerve-wracking

So many questions that I need answers too! I don’t want to have to wait for book 3, The Empire. When I first found out that this duet was changing to a trilogy, I have to admit, I was a little wary. Now, after reading book 2, I am so happy that it is. We get one more book full of Eric and Harper and I’m here for it!

There was so much going on in this book but we are left with still so many loose ends. It’s driving me nuts trying to figure out who is behind everything going on. I was looking for
Wow! There’s no lagging behind allowed when we pick right up and we’re off full throttle with The Princess. Harper and Eric are enjoying their relationship, but the trust is still fairly new and they’re still learning. The families are not helping, in fact their ties are causing some very dangerous situations for them, their relationship is in constant turmoil and knowing who to trust is getting harder.
I was enthralled, the story kept me thoroughly intrigued even though not much was achieved in

Lisa has done it again left me all worked up with no where to go until Empire. The Princess started where The Bastard finished, straight into to danger and action from the start.
We find out some more of whats happening and who’s behind all the attacks we still aren’t sure. The love and affection heat up between Eric and Harper, high octane all the way.
We all know Lisa writes strong women and big sexy alpha’s that fall hard for their woman. The sex

Yet again this author has given the readers a series full of mystery and intrique. I thought i knew where it was going but of course I was wrong.

We ended book one on the the mother of all cliffhangers. Thankfully we weren't kept guessing as we pick up the characters exactly where we left them. Plotting this series must be a nightmare because there are more twists and surprises than I could count.

I'd love to be able to say that I've got it figured out but that would be a big lie. One thing I do

The Princess, book two of the Filthy Trilogy, releases today-- and if you've read book one, The Bastard, my guess is you've already downloaded and devoured this sexy and suspenseful sequel - and possibly pre-ordered book three, The Empire. And if you're like me, you're now counting the days until this wild ride concludes, hoping for the happy-ever-after that seems so far out of reach right now.

The Princess picks up right where book one left off and we are taken on another crazy ride with bumps all along the way.

Eric and Harper are still trying to deal with the truths that came to light previously, while dealing with the hired guns that tried to take out Harper, and everything else that seems to be going on. Now in New York, you’d think they’d be safe, but they only seem to be in more trouble, and more plot twists are delivered in this book.

3.5-3.75 stars. Quickie review: The Princess is the second book in the Filthy Trilogy and the continuation of Harper and Eric's story. I liked this book more than book one. The story really gets going and there is some action. I just felt like it was too long and drawn out and so very soapy. Ms. Jones can get extremely soapy and every little moment is full of drama. I enjoy that apart her writing but sometimes it is overboard. This book was her at her soapiest and, while I enjoyed it in general, ...more
