This was a major disappointment after reading the blurb. Unfortunately, the book is barely readable without having prior knowledge of all the characters and the author throws numerous names at the reader, making it quite difficult to keep the characters straight. The big event was Zach’s escape from his father’s cult religion but the book seemed to pay much more attention to how Cameron wanted Zach but would not let himself give in because he was scared to have
3 stars

Trusted, the third book in the Only You series, tells the story of Zach, a 22 year old man who managed to escape an abusive religious cult, and Cameron, the man who offers him his home and slowly his heart. [Yes, that sounds cheesy, but it fits the overall tone of the book. If you are into the cheesiness along with some more spicier scenes, then this book would be right up your alley.]

Overall, the book was fast paced and enjoyable. I liked the variety of characters that were introduced,

3.5 Stars The third book in the Until You series and my first read by this author. Trusted, is intense and gripping, I think to get the series feel I do need to go back and read the first two books. In saying that I did enjoyed this story and the characters and will look to read more by this author.
I Dream of Dragons and Unicorns
Many more thoughts to come :-D!!

Though because of the middle that dragged a bit for me, I would have given this a total of 3.5 stars, I decided to round it up to 4 stars because of the last chunk of the book, and the beautiful and wonderful ending :-D!!!

Last update at 100% ... "// That ending was perfect :-D!!! And I adored the closure this author provided ... it was EVERYTHING :-D!!!! Adored adored adored how this author wrapped everything up, took care of justice and closure, and gave everyone

I didn't start this series with the first book, but I did start with Sentinel, the second book in Karrie Roman's Until You series. Starting there wasn't too bad, it basically just made me want to read Shipped to get to know Ryan and Lucas better and see how their story began. I have a feeling that wouldn't be the case if you started with Trusted. There are just too many "players" and even though you get some of Zach's back story in Trusted, his connection to Cam and the rest of the characters ...more

Trusted is the 3rd book in the series and I would suggest reading them all in order, but I don't think it is strictly necessary.

All three books have a very different feel, but this one was the most intense in my opinion.

Zach grew up the son of a cult leader and the oldest of his many children. In book two, he was found trying to escape and was aided by Ben and Ethan. Cameron, Ben's brother, agreed to take Zach in and look after him, since he had no idea what life looked like outside of

Trusted is the 3rd book in the Until You Series and I would recommend reading Book 2 before this one as this book continues right where book 2 ended with Zach adjusting to the world outside the confines of the cult he was raised in and rescued from.

I enjoyed this book but I struggled a bit with connecting to Cameron and Zach as a couple and Cameron as a character overall. I really enjoyed Zach learning to live in the "outside" world and his firsts from eating different foods, to going to a movie

This latest installment picks up shortly after the previous book after the rescue of Ethan's nieces, unfortunately I missed that book so I will need to go back & read it. Even though I didn't read book 2, I wasn't lost. Along with the rescue of the nieces, we have Zach who is the leader of the cults son. Even though Zach was abused & neglected, he isn't lost in his own shell. He wants to learn everything that he missed out on. He has plans for what he wants to do with his life & who ...more

This is a great addition to the Until You series and I really enjoyed it. It is well-written, emotional, has a great storyline and there is plenty of angst. I love Zach and my heart breaks for everything he has had to endure in his life. He is finally in a good place and being well cared for by Cameron. In spite of what he has been through he is sweet and loving. Cameron is gruff but he is a caring and giving person under his rough exterior. Zach and Cameron could be great together if only ...more

Wow, with Trusted, Karrie Roman once again treats us to a masterpiece.
I love a good story where two men not only fall in love, but have the type of love that can heal each other. And Trusted delivers just that!

In Trusted, we follow Zach, who's escaped from his father's commune. Life on the outside is fascinating as he sees and experiences so many things for the first time. Karrie Roman manages to capture and address this perfectly.

Told all his life that he was useless, Zach's now trying to

I just reread this book, now after reading books 1,2 and 4 of this series and I liked it much more than the first time I read it. IT says standalone but it really isnt that. The characters from the first two books appear and are tied to the main characters in this book, # 3, Zack and Cameron. Zack has just been rescued from a cult and Cameron was part of the rescue. He lets Zack stay at his house because he has the space and Zack is really confused, has lead a terribly sheltered life and is not ...more
This starts three days after the events of the previous book and focuses on Zach, the cult leader’s son, who was rescued during an FBI raid on the compound. He may have had a crush on Ben for helping rescue him, but it’s Ben’s brother Cameron who is helping him now by giving him a place to stay. Since he’s grown up in a cult, he really doesn’t know how to deal with the modern world and needs help navigating his new reality. Also, the legal issues are just beginning as the FBI questions all the ...more

After being rescued from his fathers cult, Zack’s life has drastically changed. Living with Cameron, one of his rescuers, he knows nothing about the real world. Every day brings him new wonders and things to explore. Including the feelings he has for Cameron.

Cameron is feeling the same things but won’t allow himself to act on them. His past controlling his present. Not allowing him to move forward. When Zack is threatened, Cameron has to admit his feelings.

I liked the book, however Cameron’s

Trusted is the third book in this series but it was the first book that I've read and I had no problems following along with the storyline or characters. I enjoyed this book a lot and so much so that I look forward to reading the previous books in this series. Most of the characters were great. Zach, Cameron, Ben, Ethan and Alec were my favorites. You have your characters you will love and your characters that you will hate. This book does deal with heavy subject matters but the writing was ...more

A nice story but a bit too much topics ,cult escape, childhood abuse, murder.
spousal, trust issues, first love,to stupid to live moments and above all not
learning a damn thing from bad experiences.
I missed the build up in the romance department,
Cameron and Zach where sweet and adorable stupid.

TRUSTED written by Karrie Roman is the first book I've read of hers. The story grabs you from page one and doesn't let you go! It's a fascinating story about a boy raised in his father's cult, without any contact with the outside world. It was reminiscent of the book 'room'. Then there's Cameron, who is still locked in the aftermath of an abusive relationship. Lots of ups and downs in this story! I'm definitely going to look for the other books in this series, each stand alone.

This book had so much suffering, terror, and love. It had my attention from the start to finish. Zach and Cameron both have been hurt by someone and it’s hard for Cameron to connect emotionally because of it. I can see why Cameron fell in love with Zach, he’s sweet and kind. Zach was just like a little kid in a candy store when he was exposed to all his first. I love the fact that love prevails in the end and I’m planning on reading the rest of the books in this series.

Trusted left me feeling betrayed honestly. After reading the blurb I thought I'd be in for an emotional journey of recovery, passion and explosive chemistry, all I got was a long winded, flat soap opera about two men who have issues with one of them intent on resisting the other because of past abuse.

Cameron 's desire to push Zach away got tedious after the first ten chapters, beyond that point this story no longer felt like one, I was no longer invested in these two, truth be told I don't

This series has quite grown on me. After each book I like the series more and more. This time around the story is about Cameron whom is Ben's twin brother (Ben is from book #2 and part of #1) and Zach whom is the young man Ben and Ethan rescue in book #2.

Cameron is super loyal and loving but he is BROKEN from his past. With Zach's past you would also believe he too should be broken but instead he's thriving. And his hope and zest for life is exactly what Cameron needs to help put Cam back

Continuing from the previous book in the series, Zach, who escaped from the cult run by his father, is now living with Cameron while he figures his life out. Throughout the book, he deals with his seemingly unrequited love for Cameron, his father’s trial, and Cameron’s past. As always, I really enjoyed Karrie Roman’s writing. I did find the usage of “tummy” a bit odd from grown men lol, and a certain aspect of the plot was predictable, but I love this series and was so excited to find out that ...more

Trusted by Karrie Roman is one of the most suspenseful horror novel filled with love, betrayal, and heartbreak. Zack and Cameron are star-crossed lovers who try and fight against fate. Zack tried desperately to find himself out of love with Cameron but to no avail. This novel is the perfect example of finding forgiveness through the powers of love.

I received this novel from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
