Every single adult should read this book. It’s dated, but timeless in its call to inspire singles to live their fullest for Jesus.

I was sceptical when I picked up this book, especially when I saw it was written by a married man. I was entirely floored by what I encountered. It has been a while since I have read a book that speaks of and to the single person as a complete being in Christ Jesus. From the first page this book Biblically counters the mindset that most singles encounter in Christian settings, that is, that they need to get married, something is wrong with them since they aren't, they can't be in ministry without a partner, and they will never be fulfilled nor understand the true love of God without the love of a natural marriage to compare it to. There are many more lies spoken over those who are single, unmarried, widowed, or divorced alike. This book tells the truth. The single's calling is not to another person. Our calling is to God and God alone! To take every opportunity to grow more like him, to hear his voice, and to be fulfilled in living for him, that is our calling.
