Not every story has a happy ending, but every story needs to be told.

When Chelsea meets Aiden Venturi, she hates him. He's a cocky, conceited jerk with bedroom eyes who always seems to get what he wants.

So what is it about his arrogant demeanor that makes her go crazy?

Aiden is a man who says all the right things and makes promises he can't keep.

Chelsea falls for it.

Ah the days of teenage angst. Such good times. Not really. And definitely not in My Almost. Chelsea is a young girl when she first meets Aiden at the shoe store where she works, and now he works. He's everything young (and old) women shouldn't like but do - cocky, smirky and a player. And yet she falls for his crap anyway, and gets her young heart broken. But, it's not all his fault, well it is, but it's HER fault, too, because she can't seem to say no to his douchey ass. Yep, I said douchey bec

My Almost by Kelsey Cheyenne was a pretty powerful story of first love, true heartbreak, and the power one person can have over another. The writing itself was very raw and I felt all the emotions Chelsea felt, despite wishing I could tell her to make different choices. Her character though I had a hard time truly liking. There were times she did things without a care in the world that put me off big time. I also felt it wrong how often she com

After reading the blurb, this book was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought I would be reading a boss/employee romance - and this is that but a NA version instead.
There were plenty of times I wanted to throw my kindle at the closest hardest surface. Chelsea absolutely made my head hurt. I wanted to scream at her to get some self respect, make Aiden work for it - etc etc...
But then I channeled by inner eighteen year old, and I have to

I was super lucky to win through author giveaway on instagram, so cool!! lucky me!! happy dance!! love that book cover!! so pleasing to the eyes. well done!! i guess i was not like this teen when i was 18. not say i didn't make mistakes ...but i think i had a pretty good head on my shoulders at 18. that was not that long ago. wink. wink. relatable, or at least understandable and u can see it happening. newbie to this author, what boy has not broken a girls heart? really? i think we all go throug ...more

My Almost took me on an emotional ride that ripped out my heart, and I guess that I didn't pay enough attention toe that first line that says, "Not every story has a happy ending, but every story needs to be told." So basically, I want to punch my own face right now. See, books are my happy place, so even if I'm left on a cliffhanger, I have that hope that there's a HEA somewhere down that line. Guess I need to do better at paying attention to the blurbs. This is the emotions story of 18 year ol ...more

What a freaking book. My Almost took me on a trip down memory lane that I wasn't prepared for and may have even caused a bit of PTSD. Chelsea is relatable in the sense that most women have had their heart broken. Most women have made bad decisions when it came to falling in love, or in lust or in like, and jumped into situations with their emotions instead of reason. Tale as old as time: Do you listen to your head or your heart? Aiden Venturi keeps Chelsea on her toes giving the reader similar w ...more

My Almost ARC has been provided in exchange of an honest review from the author, Kelsey Cheyenne.

My Almost was released on February 27, 2019 and is available on Kindle Unlimited.

My Almost does NOT have a HEA ending.

Going into this book knowing that there wasn’t going to be a happily ever after for Chelsea and Aiden automatically put me into a different mindset. I believe it takes courage to write a story where there isn’t a loving ending between the Hero and heroine by the end of t

I received an Advanced Reader’s copy of My Almost by Kelsey Cheyenne. It is the very first ARC I’ve ever requested, usually I like to wait and hop on a compelling read on release day, however, from the very first post My Almost called out to me. I couldn’t wait. And boy am I glad I got the ARC.
My Almost is a woman’s fiction story about Chelsea, a just turning 18 year old, struggling to navigate the complicated world of love. This work-in-progress protagonist is so beautifully portrayed by Kelsey

I'm gonna start this review by saying don't judge this book to harshly. I would love to sit here and talk badly about Chelsea but I won't. I had to put myself in her shoes and think like a 18 yr old girl. If you do that, then you'll understand why she does what she does in this book. I don't think of her as weak, just a confused and typical 18 yr old girl. She meets this guy, instantly hates him but soon he does a 360 and is charming. She becomes so emotionally wrapped up in him, that she doesn' ...more

This book was well written. I just don’t think I will read anything else by this author. I felt so depressed by this girl Chelsea’s heart break. It was so angsty. I wanted to kill Aiden. I wanted her to be smarter. She didn’t seem to understand that he was using her. I would have really wanted to know what his POV was. How can you hurt people like this and have no remorse? He was her “friend”.
I’ve never been this dumb over a man. I just don’t understand. Chelsea made so many bad decisions. If I

Aiden and Chelsea meet at work. They don’t know what to think of each other at first but one day she sees him in a different light. She falls hard and their chemistry is off the charts. He’s the first persons she’s felt so strongly for and she assumes he feels the same but does he? Is this a great release for him or does he really care?

This was an interesting read for me. I had a tough time getting into the story due to Chelsea and how she behaved. I get that as the story started she was finishing her senior year and transitioning after... but at times... her decisions just bothered me. There were many times the writing of the book just threw me out of the story and I felt that I had to force myself to keep going. Maybe it was the angst... maybe it was her age and decisions... but this was a tough read for me.

This story could be one of my girls that is how much real life it reads.
Chelsea is an 18 year old learning how to navigate the real world and like all new adults she hits a lot of road blocks and pot holes.
One being Aiden and I wanted to reach into my kindle and tell her don't do it , it can only lead to heartache but like with my girls they have to make their own mistakes so they can learn from them and so I read this story and I wanted to mom hig Chelsea and I wanted her to get her happy endin

This was a wonderfully told story of love and heartbreak. We’re taken along with Chelsea on her journey, a journey many of us have been on and in her shoes, fighting head and heart in a relationship where one person is more invested than the other. There were times I wanted to yell at her and other times I wanted to slap Aiden for being so selfish. Not every relationship and story has a happy ending, even so we see Chelsea’s growth and I enjoyed every word. Couldn’t stop reading until the very e ...more

Chelsea’s and Aiden’s story is relatable, and is an emotional roller coaster journey from beginning to end. This is a well written story which is heartbreaking, humorous, emotional, and realistic. I was intrigued throughout this realistic tale where not everybody gets their happy ever after, and look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all.

She is way to blaser , and most of the story she just going to the motion not really acting on anything. Also the writing tones is a bit monotonous.

We have all been there and have done it - fallen for the one person who you shouldn't. Suffer from heartbreak, sadness and the wishing of what could have been. Kelsey Cheyenne hits the nail on the head with her rendition of love, heartbreak and the aftermath of it in My Almost. If you are looking for a happy, typical romance novel - this is not the book for you.

I thought that Kelsey did a great job of creating a character with who the audience could easy identify with - we have all been there. Y

Love doesnt always go as planned

This is not your typical romance. Theres no happily ever after. Kelsey has made a magical book from a painful part of her past. This story is so real and emotional. It's not a love story, and it's not going to make you feel warm and fuzzy, but it reminds you of the real world. You remember we all thought we loved someone once, and when it ended it hurt. But you felt something and you loved for a time. I think Kelsey is one of the bravest people for sharing this s

Let me first start by saying I usually stick to Contemporary Romance and I typically expect a HEA (unless it’s from an author like Nicholas Sparks where I’m prepared for it to go either way). It’s kind of obvious just from the title and cover alone that there won’t be one, UNLESS it comes out of left field and shocks the hell out you.

I was in a “surprise me” mood, so I went with My Almost. Chelsea is SO relatable. There were times I wanted to reach into my kindle and strangle her, all the while

Young love

If you need a happy ending in your books this may not be the book for you. Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. It reminded me of the similarities I had with my first love & unfortunately that is a toxic relationship to be in. I totally felt Chelsea's heartbreaks each time a piece would shatter. Unfortunately the heart wants what it wants. You can only learn from your past & move forward.

I wanted to love this book, I really did, I just did not feel any real emotional connection to the main character.
Her writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole story.
I did not hate it, but was not dazzled by it either. It is a good book and worth reading once.

Sorry this was not for me. I gave one star because I kept reading to the end. I felt so sorry for this girl. She was being used and didn’t see it. It was sad. Even at the end of the book 7 years after the end of her relationship she didn’t see she was being used.

This is one of the most honest and heart breaking stories I’ve ever read. Quite possibly one of the best books I’ve ever had on my Kindle. Simply amazing!!!

Ok, truth time. 18-year-old Carmel was a mess. She was young and naive and she trusted people she shouldn't have. She loved people she shouldn't have. She did things she shouldn't have done. My Almost was like reading an entry in 18-year-old Carmel's diary.

Chelsea is me. I have a feeling she is a lot of us. Cheyenne does an amazing job of transporting readers back to a time before bills and kids and responsibilities. Back to when the most import things in life were hanging out with friends and
