Quilling is lovely. I wrote a blog post about it last year as part of the A-Z Blog Challenge, (http://acatherinenoon.com/q-is-for-qu...), and fell in love with it. It's a precise art that requires precise manual dexterity, which can be a challenge if you have carpal tunnel symptoms.

Quill pens are interesting, particularly to a calligrapher, since "back in the day," the calligrapher was required to make their own pens and quills.

It's interesting to read the differences between macramé and rope knotting.
