Dylan King never intended to get involved with Christmas Town. He'd arranged his business trip to include a short visit with his Aunt Odette. But now he's fixing furniture for Over the River Retirement Home residents, welding a fence for the carousel and extending his stay every other day. If he stopped making up excuses to spend more time with Sadie Kent, he could finally ...more

I've read a couple other books in the Christmas Town series, and was happy to revisit the community that really knows how to get into the season! This is a sweet story between two people who have their hands full, but despite their lack of time for romance, are pushed together by three well-meaning busybodies. There is plenty of humor, especially involving Aunt Odette and her friends who have their finger on the pulse of Christmas Town. I felt like the chemistry and romance was a bit lacking- ...more

'Tis the season for another holiday romance! I've sure been reading a lot of them lately. I really love the cover on this book and I think it does a good job of capturing Dylan's personality and handyman abilities.

This book has a whole cast of all kinds of characters. There are meddling aunts who are over the top, pushy and sneaky. There are two little girls who are very involved in the story line. And last but not least, there are the two main characters, Dylan and Sadie, each struggling with

Five Golden Wishes is another Christmas Carousel story, set in the fictional (but I wish were real!) Christmas town as part of the 12 Days of Heartwarming Christmas series. There are two parts to this series, written by Harlequin Heartwarming authors – A Christmas Wedding (6 books) and The Christmas Carousel (6 books) – and while each book can work as a stand alone they are best enjoyed by reading all the Christmas Town books.

In this story, hunky brain-game designer turned temporary handyman

Five Golden Wishes is a delightful, fun, magical and quick read. I thoroughly enjoyed this Christmas story. Dylan and Sadie were so sweet together. I could not help to giggle at some of the scenes throughout the book.
I am giving Five Golden Wishes a well deserved five plus stars. I would love to continue to read a story with the secondary characters from this one. Cari Lynn Webb has earned herself a new fan.
Five Golden Wishes is a fabulous book that should not be missed this Christmas season.

Will Sadie and Dylan find their Christmas spirit?
Five Golden Wishes by Cari Lynn Webb is an astounding book that I just couldn't put down. Ms. Webb makes sure that her readers are entertained. The two love interests here are so well thought out as individual characters and are even better when they come together as a couple.
Dylan King
Dylan King is the male lead of the story, and he is an interesting character. Dylan throws himself into his work because he was going through a bad breakup, and

Five Golden Wishes is part of the Christmas Town/Christmas Carousel stories but is a standalone. There is an overall theme to the books however they stand on their own. I will say that it is MUCH fun to read them all, and “visit” with other characters. FGW is about Dylan and Sadie. These two have some things in their past that really defines who they are right now…and they need a little help getting over these obstacles before they can move forward and live their lives. And boy do they have help ...more

Dylan is in Christmas town to not only visit his Aunt Odette, but process his fathers death and work out how to save their business. Unfortunately for Dylan the Knotty Elves have plans for him which include a very very long list of things that need fixing within their retirement village so he can put his skills to use. Sadie is at her wits end trying to make Christmas be like every other Christmas for her daughters after getting divorced and moving to Christmas town however she has taken too ...more

FIVE GOLDEN WISHES by Cari Lynn Webb is a wonderful read for this holiday season. I totally loved it. This is a cute story that filled me hope for the new year. I could relate it to myself too well with me being a single mother. I get what Sadie could have dealt with with recent divorce and kids to take care of. Christmas brings hope, love and sharing. I wish I could go to Christmas Town and meet Odette, her three friends and all the locals. The setting in this small town is perfect. Dylan is ...more

Five Golden Wishes is a sweet and clean read with characters that will make you smile while tugging at your heartstrings.

Sadie is such a wonderful character but is stressed to the max with the holidays fast approaching and losing her holiday spirit isn’t easy to deal with. I loved her two daughters that are trying to help her regain her spirit and their innocent nature is perfect in this storyline.
Dylan is my favorite character in the book. Dylan has much more patience than I would have with

A fun and delightful book. The writing is easy to read, the plot is well-paced, and the characters are easy to love. Sadie, as a single mom of two girls, needs Christmas Town to start her life over again after a messy marriage that messed her up some. Dylan, a business owner grieving his father’s recent death, needs Christmas Town to revamp his inner creativity and discover what he wants out of life. Dylan’s aunt and her retirement community friends are hilarious and definitely add humor to the ...more

I so enjoyed this book! I've not read any of the other books in this series (story of my life) and did note allusions to plot points from other installments. However, they didn't feel like spoilers or too dissonant from the rest of the plot, so that was nice.

Very Christmassy, and a great way to get into the holiday spirit (or continue the joy of the holidays if you happen to be *cough* reading this after Christmas. :)

I felt like I could really relate to Dylan as a businessperson and the

I really enjoyed this cute and sweet holiday read. It put me right into the holiday spirit. I truly loved the small town atmosphere and the descriptions made me want to go visit this town. Both Dylan and Sadie a little help regaining their holiday spirit and with the Knotty Elves on the mission they just might. I loved the humor the Knotty Elves added to the story. Sadie's little girls are precious and just added another layer to the book. Then when Dylan interacts with them total

Five Golden Wishes by Cari Lynn Webb is the first book in the Christmas Town Series I have read. This book has many characters throughout that show you how busy body family, friends, and neighbors can be. I had an extremely hard time connecting with this book.

Great story line!!

I enjoyed watching these characters grow. Even the kids learned lessons. And this is a shining example of how what we think children think and feel can be so far from the truth, and so colored by our own insecurities.

Take another trip to Christmas Town with this delightful little Christmas story, Five Golden Wishes by Cari Lynn Webb. With two characters in need of holiday spirit, a cast of charming characters, many humorous and sweet moments, and a heartwarming romance, this novella spreads the warm, fuzzy feelings and cheer so desired this time of year. Fun and entertaining, it delivers what I hope to find in a seasonal read, and I enjoyed it.
