First let me start off by saying kudos to Ms. Luciani for writing about someone with Multiple Sclerosis so perfectly! I have never read a book where one of the main characters has it and coming from someone that does have MS, I can honestly say that you wrote the character's fears and all the other feelings that come along with it absolutely brilliantly. So, Jessica has just been diagnosed and had her whole life turned upside down and decides to focus on just work with no romantic entanglements ...more

Unlikely Venture is an emotion filled, romantic read with lots of sizzle and steam in all the right places.

Jessica's struggles are major, yet never bring her down. She stays strong throughout the story and I just a loved that!! James is sexy, kind, wonderful...but there are some bumps. Aren't there always?

This is well written book containing way more than romance. Fashion, family, business, travel...it's all there. I think readers will dive into this read and fall in love.

I'm excited for the nex

**This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review**

This is one of those books when I can't really pinpoint a rating. I didn't love some things about it, but I loved many things about it. I've never read anything by Luciani before, so I went into it with curious eyes. I really liked the premise. And for the most part, Luciani delivered. When I finished the book, I didn't feel like something was missing. I didn't feel like the book didn't give me feels. I think I just felt good. It was

Unlikely Venture was an amazing and very informative book! The author really delves into the characters and makes you feel their emotions and afflictions.

After learning Jessica’s been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, her fiancé bolted out of her life as if he was on fire. She finds solace in her career–no distractions or romantic entanglements there!

The heroine Jessica deals with the effects of her disease and it is almost as if you can feel the symptoms she is experiencing. As someone who did

Unlikely Venture has everything I love about romance. Jessica is the perfect protagonist with the right amount of flaw paired with even more fight. She is fun and sassy in her killer high heels, a girl after my own heart. MS isn't stopping this chick from going after what she wants. The question isn't really what she wants though. It's who she wants.

Jessica has the horrible luck of having two hot men after her. I felt so sorry for her. Yeah right! I was torn between Paul and James until they sho

A book that is a romantic read, with hot, steamy sizzles in all the right places.

I like the fact that real life issues are dealt with here.

A well written read, with characters that you could easily relate to.
After reading this you wouldn't believe that this is a new author.

A recommended read

Can I get a James with a side order of starburst jelly bean to go please???? Lol.

Wonderful story about a strong minded woman that doesn't allow anything to stop her from reaching her goals. Jessica, although dealing with all the side effects of Multiple Sclerosis, is determined to land the position she wants. During the course of a business trip, she has an encounter with a man, that slowly gives her hope for a future she had given up on, thanks to her ex-fiance, who walked out on her because of

Overall this was an ok read for me.
I really liked the plotline; it felt original and there was scope for a real angst filled and emotional read. I also liked the characters. They were likeable and each had endearing qualities. However, everything just lacked that spark to shift the story from ok to really good. For me, I would have liked it if the story had moved along a little quicker and I felt as though the backstabbing element could have been expanded on. The story ended on a real high and

The story will keep your interest. The main character, Jessica is a business woman newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Her fiancé walked away after the MS diagnosis. Jessica meets James and they are attracted to one another. The story moves forward with their romance. What I missed was an emotional impact.

I like to feel the pain, the heartache, happiness, angst and other emotions as the characters are experiencing them. I haven't figured out how the writers frame their words and

I really liked how this book was written. The characters were mature and realistic. It's the closest I've ever read to that concept. Jessica and James have some obstacles but both are willing to try fro something more. Jessica is motivated by her medical condition and James by his dad's death. They are well matched and the development they see throughout the story was done well. I really enjoyed the story and Ms. Luciani's writing style. Looking forward to more.

An unlikely year-end read for me, when I thought I'd pick a historical tome to cap my 2016 reading journey. I didn't really want to delve into another romance story with its usual (and predictable) happily-ever-after ending, but the female character suffering from multiple sclerosis piqued my interest.

Unlikely Venture is really good read full of romance, James & Jessica are great characters but I just didn't connect with them. But don't let that put you off, that's on me not the author. It's a nice romantic read with a bit of drama. Kristen writing is really good and she tells a great story with the steamy bits in all the right places.

I met the lovely Kristen Luciani at a home jewelry show. I was so impressed with her and her lovely family. I raced home and looked her up on Facebook and also read over the descriptions of her books. I became Facebook friends with her and joined her group "The Stiletto Click - All Things Kristen Luciani." Everyone in the group was very nice and so welcoming. I quickly learned that "wondering" through her group were characters from her books. I was so intrigued. They have to decide if 3000 miles, serious health issues and powerful high finance careers will stand in the way of their budding romance. MS And Still Living Life

Jess and James run into each other three times before they perceive it as possibly fate and begin to get to know each other. Jessica has just been diagnosed with MS and was afraid to share this with her employer and with James for fear of losing everything she had worked for and thought James would leave her as the man who she was to marry left her because she had MS. Does love conquer all? You have to read this to find out. It was a good quick read.

I liked the first chapter

After that I learned far too much about business meetings.
The nickname situation confused me; who's Jay? Li? Oh, we know the doctors first name? It just sprouted up out of nowhere.
The date was cute.
I felt nothing for any of the characters. they were all very petty and child-like.
The overall tone was all very blah.

I love Kristen's writing and this book was a great climax! I loved everything to how they met, their first date and all their friends! This story was hot and had a great story! This book touches on MS and we sit with Jessica through her doctor appointments and hold her hand while she goes through this! James is a great guy and I determined and I am very happy with the outcome!
Lindsay Thompson-Sublett
I do remember this was a great book and it was hard to believe that this was her first book, or at least her first one she released. James was a big hit and any girl would love him. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

I couldnt connect with the main characters and Jessica's best friend is kind of a terrible friend for forcing her to hang out with a woman who tried to steal her fiance on multiple occasions and then tried talking her into hooking up with a man who made her feel uncomfortable.

Good read, I liked the characters and the story line. Jessica is a very strong woman and the way she handles her diagnoses was very realistic. I loved that James was strong enough to stand beside her with what will happen in the future with her health. No cliffhanger.
