Chillers - Volume One

Rate this book
Based on the cult classic Chillers feature film from Troma Studios that captured the Silver Scroll Award now returns with all new tales in an original graphic novel! Original writer and director Daniel Boyd is joined by some of the best in horror to present eleven more tales of terror and chills. Evil travels in many forms...even by bus. But this bus, driven by Peterr Jesus, takes its riders on a journey that they may never return from... For those that enjoy Tales from the Crypt, Night Gallery, and the scarier episodes of Twilight Zone. "If you're tired of what passes for horror in comics today, Chillers will renew your faith that there are good writers and good artists who can deliver true horror stories." - mania.com "I love this collection. I read a lot of anthology titles and Chillers is quickly rising to the top of the list with the best of them." - Decapitated Dan's Reviews.

I am not particularly a fan of graphic novels; but I love horror. Yeah, Chillers has that. It is packed with short, creepy stories that sneak into your subconcious long after you've read them. Oddly, it is much more eerie and spine tingling when scenes come back to you out of nowhere, as is often the case here.

If you've had the unique experience of watching the 1988 "cult classic" Chillers, you are going to love this book. If you are a graphic novel fan, horror fan, indie fan, or all of the aforementioned, you will love this book.

Obviously, I love a good story, and the release of Chillers 1 has a little-known tale that I will share with you. It is to the best of my recollection--any errors are mine. The Halloween before Chillers Graphic Novel was released, a member of the Buddy Black Band settled down to re-watch Chillers with a friend that hadn't seen it. Upon this viewing, the band member was moved to write a (sort-of) tribute album. As all good indie people do, he reached out to Mr. Boyd for approval. Typical Boyd fashion, the answer is "Hell, yes!". Thus the album, Witchfinger (The Chillers EP).

Chillers Book Two is scheduled to be released in October of this year.

Espero Chillers Libro Dos sea mejor.
