Got this from a secondhand store with Max. Saw there was some Michaux I couldn’t find on JSTOR. He could never disappoint me. Writ a conversation between Poem and Voyage that had me clapping. Him and Desnos are THE metropolitan somnambulists.
But the real reason I’ve logged this is to let my friends know that whether Max Jacob is a surrealist or not is certainly questionable, but he’s doubtlessly a loser. Big Balls to his little Holocaust satires with toads and chickens running around.
