Aleks Mickelsen and the Eighth Fox War begins with Aleks and his friends within the Thief of Peace's Passage, an underground corridor that separates the Dwarf Kingdom from the Fey's realm. It's here that they come face to face with Fritjof, the dragon of chaos. Fritjof had up until this point masked his reappearance by erasing his very existence from everyone's memory, that is everyone except Aleks sister Nori. Nori is the one that warned Aleks and his friends of the danger that Fritjof imposes ...more

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

This book finishes Aleks' adventure and brings to a conclusion the decision that has haunted him for the past few books. There's a lot going on with this book - some political intrigue and balancing the different factions, family issues, lots of action, along with some romance all told very creatively and with good humor. All the books have a wonderful fairy tale feeling to them and a

From the opening sentence of the prologue to the final paragraph, you know you are in a fierce adventure. Having been with the series since the beginning, it has been wonderful following our group through all the action! Aleks Mickelsen and the Eighth Fox Throne War abounds with magic and if fey politics don’t get you killed, the dragon just might … or a beautiful fairy’s father. I thoroughly enjoyed the action sequences and the humorous parts will have you laughing out loud; but it was Airi who ...more

Keira does it again in the third Aleks Mickelsen book! Full of a adventure, the story continues on as the gang tries to fool the plans of Fritjof, a dragon that is sneakier than a snake. Starting off with a rough interaction with dwarfs, the gang's journey brings them face to face with things they never imagined they would see. Including more mysteries of the lost well.
Aleks grows more as a the story plays out, bringing us a character that isn't only relatable in how it feels to grow, but also

Remember that kid who hated his pointy ears and kept trying to hide them with his hair? Aleks is not a kid anymore. In fact, he’s the heir to the Winter Court throne as well as being the only one who can gather the forces to defeat Fritjof, the most destructive and terrifying dragon of all. If Aleks fails, he and his human friends will die and the Under World will forever be ruled by chaos. I held my breath many times reading this book. The challenges are nonstop. You’ll find plenty of fierce ba ...more

This book is every bit as good as any of the others in the series. Keira maintains her powers as an incredible story teller. I didn’t want to put the book down, but I didn’t want to finish it because book 7 isn’t out yet. This is a winner. Do yourself a favor and read her Zaria Fierce Trilogy and this follow-up trilogy. I’d like to see it made into movies.
