So, I dove in, fingers crossed to read the 2nd one: 'Betting on Her' & was delighted with it.
This book has a completely different 'feel' to it (IMO) than the 1st one. Although there was some action toward the end of 'Betting on Him', it took place mainly in the Wilde family's Casino, was more focused on the strategy Alex Wilde n ...more
I don't really know what I expected of this book but it blew my mind away just like book one. And like a mention before every "mob" book I've read I've ended either giving it 1-2 stars or DNFing it but this ones I have fallen in love with.

It was a great mob story with real good characters.
Katya who seemed like her less than loving upbringing hardened her. She was nothing but a pawn in the games her father played. Hard on the outside but full of love for the right person. She did everything she could to protect Matt consequences be damned.
Matt realised pretty soon he wanted Katya. Against all odds and his and his brother's better judgement. He tried to stay away but couldn't. He wasn't easily deter ...more
