This was my first time reading Karen Booth. I enjoyed the story but I needed more character development between the couples. The book focused on two different couples and it felt like everything happened so fast at times. I found it difficult to connect fully to each couple. It felt like every time I started to make progress we switched to the next couple. This was a fast paced read that was filled with steamy, sad and sexy moments with a dash of unrequite love and family drama. Overall, I enjoyed the read as the story did hold my attention I just wish I would have connected better with the couples. I am curious to see what happens in the next book.

Her characters have real depth and her stories never fail to captivate.

This is the first book in the new Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List series. Karen Both introduces us to some of the characters in this new book. Nadia Gonzalez has worked hard to prove herself in the Richmond Corporation. She is the assistant to the CEO Matt Richmond. There was an attraction there that neither one of them acted on because they worked together. A night of passion after a fundraiser, and they could not stay away from each other. Unfortunately, the office gossip became too much for Nadia. Shayla, who has designs on Matt, helps to spread the gossip. She is very duplicitous. Finally, Nadia quits and goes to work for her friend Teresa St. Claire. Teresa is an event planner working for Matt. She is planning a big event to announce a secret project that Matt and Liam Christopher, Matt’s friend are working on. Seems Teresa and Liam have a history. Liam’s father was Teresa’s mentor and his mother believed they were having an affair. As a result, Liam believed that Teresa was the cause of the end of their marriage. As they both had to work together because of the upcoming event, Liam started getting closer to Teresa. He began to believe that what his mother said about Teresa couldn’t possibly be true and thought he had a second chance with her. This continues until Liam’s father dies and they read the will. His father has left Teresa 25% of the business. Liam is furious and believes she is everything his mother said she was.
This story has some suspense in it as you try to figure out who keeps leaking information to the press/gossip rags. We see Matt and Nadia get their happily ever after as they realize they are better together than apart. Now Liam and Teresa are another story. We are left with Liam furious with Teresa and making all kinds of accusations. These are great characters and I enjoyed the overlapping story lines. I am hooked. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
This story has some suspense in it as you try to figure out who keeps leaking information to the press/gossip rags. We see Matt and Nadia get their happily ever after as they realize they are better together than apart. Now Liam and Teresa are another story. We are left with Liam furious with Teresa and making all kinds of accusations. These are great characters and I enjoyed the overlapping story lines. I am hooked. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

I just loved this Desire book by Karen Booth. This was a book that I read in one afternoon of rain sitting and just loved it . This had the she said no she said. Throughout it and all the fighting was so good. This had everything in it to make it a perfect rainy day book. Karen hit it out of the infield for a triple!

I liked the premise of Tempted By Scandal and found it amusing and over the top but it fell short for me when it came to character development. However I'm still very much interested in reading the next book in the series.

4.5 Stars ~ This is a must read book!!! Seriously. You have to read it.
Going into reading Tempted by Scandal, I knew it was the first book in the Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List series. I knew the series consisted of four books, written by four different authors. I knew each book would have an HFN or an HEA. And I knew there was a mystery arc which carried over all four books.
What I didn't know or expect was to have so many characters thrown at me. Almost every hero or heroine from the series makes an appearance in this story. I definitely didn't expect to find myself in the middle of a nighttime soap opera. Tempted by Scandal was Dynasty and Dallas combined, on speed. You literally have no idea who you can and cannot trust.
Written by Karen Booth, Tempted by Scandal’s primary hero and heroine are Matt Richmond and Nadia Gonzalez. Matt is a billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of Richmond Industries. Nadia is his personal assistant of less than two years. After attending a charity gala together, the two fall into each other's arms. The next morning Nadia's photographed sneaking out of Matt's home in the early morning hours. The photograph ends up making a gossip website, thus putting pressure on Matt. The question becomes is Nadia someone Matt can trust, or did she tip off the photographer in order to get something out of him? This is a mystery that will surprise you.
Karen also laid the solid groundwork for Liam Christopher and Teresa St. Claire, the hero and heroine of the fourth book, Redeemed by Passion, written by Joss Wood. Liam and Teresa have a complicated relationship, to say the least. Their awareness of each other goes back seven years when Teresa was one of his father’s students. Liam has a huge distrust of Teresa and she has no idea why. Most of Tempted by Scandal deals with Liam and Teresa. I will say things are not as they appear between these two.
There's a reason why I made a promise to myself to read Karen Booth past and future. She's an incredible storyteller. She has this ability to suck you into a story and make you invested in what's happening. In my opinion, she had a tough job in setting up the series and establishing the relationships of not only her characters, but the characters of all the other authors. A lot of her story dealt with Liam and Teresa, thus truly making her central story of Matt and Nadia seem more like a novella. Their story is complete but Tempted by Scandal ends on one heck of a cliffhanger. When I say shockwaves, there are shockwaves.
I have no idea where the next story will take these characters. I’m sure there will be more sexy times, more lies, more backstabbing, more scandal, more blackmail and more “oh my gosh” moments. The mystery arc has started. How that will all play out will be anyone’s guess. Bring on Cat Schield’s Taken by Storm.

Tempted by Scandal
is the first in a collaborative series and as a beginning, it has me excited by what's to come!
What Worked:
*Characters
Tempted by Scandal revolved around a couple - Nadia and Matt. A few other characters were introduced, primarily Teresa and Liam, who will be the focus in the next installment. Nadia and Matt become involved intimately despite working together. Nadia is Matt's assistant and he's the CEO of his company. Yeah...scandalous. ;) I liked them together. The seem to have a brilliant working relationship that's helped develop their romantic feelings. And outside of work, they seem to have much in common despite vastly different upbringings. I liked that the both considered family to be very important.
*Plot/Subplots
I'm unsure what the over-arching plot of the series will be but perhaps it will involve the project Matt and Liam have been working on? The sub-plots were obstacles in the development of Matt and Nadia's relationship as well as that of Liam and Teresa. They created a bit of tension and even some suspense. I'm keep to see the outcomes.
*Romance
I don't mind an office romance from time to time ;) and KBooth delivered a nice romance for Nadia and Matt. As I said, they work well together but literally and figuratively. And we see the beginnings of the romance between Teresa and Liam. The two have a more contentious relationship and it'll be interesting to see whether Liam can give his trust to Teresa.
What Could Have Worked Better:
*Sub-plot
The sub-plot concerning Matt and Nadia's relationship was a bit predictable. I'd figured out whodunit early on. This didn't detract from the story, I simply felt a little more complexity would have enhanced it.
*Romance
A lot of the courtship between Matt and Nadia took place off-page prior to the beginning of the story. I think their relationship would have felt more solid if a bit more of the start had been on-page.
Overall, Tempted by Scandal was an engaging read and has me invested in these characters and the series.

I met Karen Booth through Duranie fan circles, but I instantly became a fan of her writing when I first read her novels Bring Me Back and Back Forever. Since then I've read other Karen Booth titles, but I confess this was my first of her Harlequin Desire catalog.
Tempted By Scandal, the first of a four-part series (each book in the series written by a different author), is set in Seattle and features a cast and setting of glamorous, sexy, and seductive people and places. Karen Booth always crafts a great story, and knows how and when to turn up the heat, both in the bedroom and in the plot. As the reader follows the dramas of two sets of characters--billionaire Matt Richmond and his assistant Nadia Gonzalez, who can't keep their attraction contained, and Matt's best friend and tech mogul Liam Christopher and event planner Teresa St. Claire, who have a complicated past. As we sort through what is rumor and what is fact, the two pairs struggle to keep their private lives private while pulling off the launch an important business merger. And yet, all the while they equally struggle to keep their feelings at bay and not let their temptations undo all their hard work.
This is a quick read, which is not to say it is lacking; rather, I turned each page in eager anticipation, and needed to fan myself off after some steamy scenes. This is what Karen Booth is best at: blending passion with tenderness, brevity with beauty, sex with sensuality. The result is an introduction to a world you want to keep spying on, anticipating what comes next. Fortunately, there are three more books to take you there. Tempted by Scandal is an excellent springboard to them.
Better yet, there are other Booth-penned worlds and series to delve into. No doubt I'll be doing so in the near future.

Explosive chemistry from start to finish! With the first book in the brand new Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List quartet, Karen Booth hits the floor running with introducing us to the characters and their drama. One couple finds their happily ever after and a second couple hits a pinnacle at the end of the book that will carry forward into the next book, TAKEN BY STORM by Cat Schield which is out next month. Ms. Booth does a fantastic job of weaving an electrifying tale of scandal, betrayal and outright lust. Really enjoyed the story and am looking forward to the continuation!

I’m pleased to have received an advanced copy of this in exchange for my honest review! This is the first in the Dynasties A list series collaboration collection . With that said I was to assume it would involve multiple main couples and various side characters. I was quick to focus and enjoy the ride as the complex plot thickened . Matt & Nadia are introduced along with Liam& Teresa ALONG with a few other characters with all kinds of back stories . The story is most certainly action packed with secrets & filled with plenty of chemistry & passion to keep you entertained. Another notable attribute for this particular Karen Booth book is that she is very generous with the level of 🔥🔥& passion between Nadia & Matt! I’m looking forward to seeing how many things move forward in upcoming books by other authors who’ve collaborated with this series ! With that said , I think Karen has the series all set to begin... you just need to stay focused reading because of the fast paced , ever changing plot thickening moments throughout this story .

It’s as though my new favorite soap opera was just put into a book! Dynasties: Secrets of The A List is going to be a four book series each with different authors.
The first installment from Karen Booth, Tempted By Scandal, introduces us to Nadia Gonzalez and Matt Richmond. Nadia has just slept with her boss Matt and she now fears her career is done for at Richmond Industries. She’s swooned over him the entire time she’s worked for him and when he was at his sexiest she let her desires win. Now she fights to stay ahead of the building rumors and tabloid pictures and let Matt know them being together can’t happen.
Matt is in the mindset that this relationship with Nadia can make it, board members, family members and tabloids be damned! He does his best to keep her floating in the clouds but when everyone around them clearly won’t let them have what they really want he realizes Nadia was right. When he finds out who is behind all his personal leaks, Matt decides he’s going to make things right with Nadia and win her love back.
I enjoyed this book and it makes me look forward to the next installment. I became invested in finding out where things were going with Nadia and Matt and all of the other characters that were introduced such as Teresa and Liam who are the other couple in the book with nearly as much drama as Nadia and Matt.

Nadia works for Matt. She is caught sneaking out of his house by a paparazzi. They are trying to take Matt down anyway they can because he and his friend Liam are about to make a big announcement about a project they have been working on for a while. Nadia and Matt can't be close to each other without wanting to tear their clothes off but there is people against them being together. Also Liam and the party planner Teresa are at odds because they knew each other in the past. Just when things are going good for them a will threatens to tear them apart. A really good story that follows both these couples

This is the first book that I have read by Karen Booth and I must say that "Tempted By Scandal" grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I truly enjoyed it, looking forward to reading more books by Karen.
Matt Richmond is a billionaire and Nadia Gonzales is his assistant. Nadia has had feelings for her billionaire boss Matt for sometime now.
The two attend a fund raiser which turns into a night passion of which neither is so willing to go to back to the way things were before the fund raiser and I totally agree the two are so good together.
This is the first book in the "Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List" and I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I enjoyed Nadia and Matt's story! It's a very fascinating plot and I love the characters. A seriously good read! I cannot wait to read the other stories in the "Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List" series. I have always enjoyed a Harlequin Desire story. I have not only found some great stories by some great new writers. I discovered Maya Banks and one of my favorite stories, I have read multiple times, reading Harlequin stories. This is a new writer for me and I cannot wait to read more from her. So excited to find new talent!!!

Matt really does appreciate his woman's sense of style, " a groan escaped his lips. She loved hearing that noise, knowing that he wanted her. “The shoes stay on,” he said. She looked back at Matt over her shoulder. His normally bright eyes were dark with desire." This was an okay book, I found difficult to figure out what was going on and what character's point of view was as there was two different couples.

Tempted by Scandal is a fun Harlequin Desire book by Karen Booth. It is an opposites attract story about a handsome billionaire boss--Matt and his beautiful and talented assistant--Nadia. Someone is causing them trouble by feeding the tabloids with snippets of their affair. It is also the story of Liam and Teresa. It has a few surprises. I enjoyed it. Warning: this book ends with a cliff hanger. There are three more books in this Dynasties: Secrets of the A-List quartet.

Tempted by Scandal grabbed me and did not let go until the end. I enjoyed the story but did feel like some parts were rushed and predictable. There were some OMG moments when I did not see some things coming, it left me hanging and a lot of questions that I hope will be answered in the next book in the series. Overall this was a good read.

This is the 1st book I've read written by Karen Booth; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Matt and Nadia. Liam and Teresa. Nadia is the executive assistant for Matt. They fall for each other which causes plenty of problems. Liam always thought the wrong things about Teresa. They're able to talk it out and come together but they have a cliffhanger ending. This was not my favorite start to a series. I'm mainly reading it to get to a book further in the series. Let's hope the story gets better. Too much soap opera versus real connection happening.

This contains 2 story lines in 1 book. The first couple is about Matt and Nadia you learn that Nadia works for Matt and what happens with them. The other couple is Liam and Teresa and you learn about them and the book ends with drama and a cliff hanger. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next book about Liam and Teresa! I recommend this book !!!!!

3 stars. Liked the story but there needed to be way more character development. I didn’t really like how it focused on both Matt and Nadia and Liam and Teresa. I would’ve loved to see more of Matt and Nadia relationship downfall and rise. I am surprised that this ended in a cliffhanger. I’m going to want to know what will happen with Liam and Teresa.

I loved this book. Karen Booth had a tall order in kicking off this crazy, sexy, scandalous series. She did an outstanding job. I really loved both Matt & Nadia's characters, and Karen did a great job with Liam and Teresa's storyline, too.
