Set during one of Conan's earlier adventures this tale was a tough one to get through. Conan is forced to be the body double for royalty, a premise that I found hard to swallow considering how unique a character Conan is. With this premise Conan never really seemed all that in charge of where the story went or what he was doing.

A little slow for a Conan read. The conflict with the Set cultists seemed tacked on, as if the main story were a little thin (which it was).

A fun read... I've always liked Conan stories even though this was written by a different author than the original I still enjoyed it.
