Bookish, snarky, and fiercely independent Nate Boudreaux leads a solitary life. Between teaching classes at the university and working toward his PhD, he doesn’t need a partner to occupy his time, and he certainly doesn’t need a man like Alistair Drake complicating his future.

Alistair Drake, black sheep of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, is more interested in addin

EEK! Mpreg-Eggs! MEGGS! And I LOVED it!

Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly (AKA Lynn Van Dorn) have teamed up to bring us something a bit different in the world of mpreg - laying eggs instead of the live births! I've read about it in fanfics, but this might be a first for me reading it in gay romance.

This story sure does start out with a bang and it's like it never let's up! Alistair and Nate get together as a hook-up and spend a crazy hot night together. It isn't until a few months later that Nate

Since the blurb is vague I'll spoiler tag, but there were a few firsts for me with this book (view spoiler).

I enjoyed the two main characters and the way their relationship grew from contentious to HEA. Neither men were looking for a relationship. Nate needed to get through a heat and Alistair wanted a hookup. Alistair is an alpha but he isn't a self-confident one. He is the least successful in his family and they continually remind him of

A Joyfully Jay review.

Ok, so I am being as vague as I can here for fear of spoilers, but my guess is that many of you may know just what kind of creature Alistair is (and what type of childbirth Nate has) based on the buzz I am seeing for this story online. In fact, reader chatter on Facebook is what brought this story to my attention, and I am so glad it did. I read Virginia Kelly recently (under the pen name Lynn Van Dorn), and so I was really excited to see what the author did outs

I am always skeptical about books written by co-authors. I know Piper, but I don't know anything about Virginia Kelly.
This one was actually a complimentary of the second book by these authors, Bond.
I read this and I liked the snarky, the funny part of this story. And I was kinda knew that this one was written by Piper (my guess). I like this book at some part. Eggpreg is new for me, but cute nonetheless. This was funny, sweet, far fetched from the usual mpreg I used to read. But fun, at some pa

Unique and fun! This is a cut above many mpreg - as it is about dragon's and a unique take at that. I loved reading this - and was completely absorbed. I cannot wait to read Harry's story!

I like the world created for the series, even if its show omegas in the typical submissive roles.
I love Nates' personality; fierce and sassy but ugh Al is show so weak! I wished Piper could have made the MC more strong for this I was considering giving it 3 points.
But hey as I said love the world created by the authors, taking care of the eggs and bonding with them...
I'm hooked! Now want to read Harry's HEA

So excited for this new series!!! I love to escape into fantasy and when the world is an intriguing one all the better. I know this is book one in a series and so more will be revealed as we go but I just loved Nate and Alistair!! The amount of snark and wit is always my favorite part. I love vibrant characters and this book is full of them. This was a great introduction to this world, there are still some elements that need to expansion but again this is the beginning of the journey. There is a ...more

This book was a joy from beginning to end. I wished for more world building but it’s a first book in the series so that was ok. Nate and Alistair so belonged together. Nate toned down Alastair’s want to be in control and Nate’s feisty personality came to the forefront in dealing with his mate.

The premise of the book is that dragons are (normal), eggs are (normal), mate bonds are (normal and so hot). So much happening in this book it’s hard not to give to much away.

The other characters are well

This is certainly one of the best books that I have read this year. Laughter and tears, spicy times and a glorious story too. The plot was a surprise to me because I steer clear of teasers on social media and had no idea what species of shifter Alistair and his family are! Alistair is a lovely hero; he's protective, humble, literal and brave. Nate, his true mate, is feisty, adorable and equally as brave; they are the perfect couple.

Alistair's family are just as amazing, as is Nate's best friend

The moment the first chapter ended, I was in love and super hooked. So totally hooked, I wanted to finish it in one sitting. I really had a hard time putting it down!

I’ve only read a few books about dragons and this definitely put a new spin in the MPREG world. The characters are well-developed, funny, sassy and a bit crazy and I can’t help but fall in love with them (Harry, my lambchop!). Reading the book felt like I was living in their world!

I have to admit when I read the blurb for this ARC book I was interested, but was not expecting what I received. Holy cow, I'm so in love with this one. I thought Waking The Dragon series of Piper's with Susi Hawke was my favorite series. Well move over old favorite cause there's a new favorite in town. I absolutely loved the characters. The MCs were wonderfully written with so much humor and snarky attitude, I laughed through half the book and set on the edge of my seat for the other half. Whil ...more

So, I don’t read mpreg and I’m not the biggest fan of ABO, but this book is absolutely phenomenal. The ABO dynamic is really more equal than not, it’s fucking hilarious the entire way through, and the fierce love and possessiveness for each other is hot as hell. The secondary characters are well developed and amazing. (Um, can Perry be more perfect?) The conflicts feel very real even in a fantasy world. I didn’t expect to love this book, but it blew me away. I didn't rate it higher because although it didn't end on a cliffhanger, I have the impression those loose ends may get tied up in the next book, Bond. And I would like to have seen what happened with those Topaz dragons.

Having said that, I loved Nate, and his clutch was really cute. Alistair was a decent alpha, although his brothers were annoying. I can't blame Nate for being ticked off that no one seemed to know what knocking meant.

Oh, and Harry was a sweetheart. I'm looking forward to reading
2.5 rounded down

First, a warning. The plot centers not just on MPREG, but Egg-PREG. MPREG is not my most favorite of tropes, but I like a/b/o, so I deal with it. Egg-PREG on the other hand, weirds me the fuck out (no judgement if you're into) and I was honestly pretty freaking annoyed that the authors didn't warn for it so they could be ~mysterious~. I very likely still would have read the book, but it wouldn't have been such a (frankly unwelcome) surprise. IMO, keeping it a secret does a dis-se

Couldn’t read it fast enough!!!!

This book is just made to demolish! From the first page to the last, I couldn’t get enough! I loved every single character especially Harry who was just as interested and amazed by the dragons as I was!!!!! And then the little dragon babies were the cutest (I’m obsessed with the dragons as you can see) aside from the dragons, this book was steamy, funny, dramatic, thrilling to say the least. I’m in love with this series just from this story alone!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve never read a book quite like this before. I’m addicted now though.
I read this book so fast. It sucks you in from the beginning as a Tinder date until the end which I will not give you details about.
Trust me you want to go into this book a bit blind and experience the adventure without too many details.
Now I want book 2!

Allistar and Nate were supposed to only be a one night hookup.... A protected sexual escapade to satisfy an omega heat... not something meant to last. But when Nate has a clutch, a nest of dragon eggs created from their passionate night together, everything changes. Now they must work together to keep their eggs safe and think quick on how to stay together safe.

I loved this book. Sexy dragons, strong Omegas and adorable baby dragons and eggs. I worthwhile read, filled with humor, sexy times and

This was a wonderful, magical, funny book. Adorable omega Nate, uses grindr for hook ups when he is in heat. His latest was Alistair, an alpha dragon. Neither expected the outcome to be what it was, considering they both used protection. When Nate lays a clutch of 3 eggs, his life is turned upside down. Nate is funny, adorable and snarky, the perfect mate for Alistair. There are some tense , heartstopping moments that round out the book. The book has hot alpha dragon sex, a pet pig called Olive ...more

Loved Loved Loved it!!!!
Amazing 5* story that I couldn't put down.
Perfect blend of drama, action, humour and steam.
Alistair and Nate are great together and the supporting characters give the book extra depth ( even though I wanted to punch Ev everytime he opened his mouth).
Their story is equal parts sweet and super hot.
I really enjoyed the twist on mpreg with the eggs and egg bond.
Cannot wait for the next book in the series!!

I've found a new series for my keeper-shelf, this book had me laughing so hard. I absolutely loved Nate, he was snarky AF. Poor Alistair had his hands full with his unexpected omega and their offspring. I loved the storyline's unique take on mpreg, this is the first time I've seen it handled this way. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Nathan and Alistair meet when the feisty omega sends a message over a hookup app and the chemistry between the pair is immediately incendiary. The encounter produced an unprecedented consequence, one that changed both men's lives forever. Working together for the sake of their clutch is no easy feat, yet they find a bond neither desired but cannot deny is what they want forever more. When neither of them ever desired offspring of their own there's a lot of adjustment, but it isn't until there's ...more

Shelves: gay I was initially intrigued by this book because it was so different from the usual shifter mpreg books that are out there. I hadn't read a dragon one yet so thought it could be fun. I was wrong. While the idea itself is still intriguing, the writing is so god awful I couldn't stand to even get past the half way mark. The whole book, at least the half I read, seems to be writing in 10 page chunks with these weird swooping arcs that don't flow naturally. There's the "hello, lets get nek ...more

Clutch is brand new start to a series full of dragons!!The authors did a great job of building a world that was fun and exciting and writing characters that I wanted to know! They managed to add a new twist to mpreg which was very fun and new. Clutch started with laughs and was highly entertaining throughout!
I loved Nate and Alistair! They were both so funny and endearing for different reasons. I loved Nate's bookish nerdism and his total devotion to his clutch. He was a funny combination of sas

Wow, what a story with some great characters!
This story follows Nate, an omega in need of help through his heat and Alastair, who answers the post online. Unbeknownst to both men, their future becomes entwined with the subsequent pregnancy though Alastair's life is very different than Nate could have ever imagined.
This is a different dragon story from others I've read with the restrictions and control that has been placed on their breeding by the council.
I loved the sense of family that comes a

This is an amazing book and I love everything about it! It's well-written, full of surprising twists and turns, has incredible characters, excellent world-building, an intriguing storyline and dragons. Yes, dragons! I could not put this book down and I was fully engaged from beginning to end. I love Nate and Alistair and the authors' take on alpha/omega dynamics is a nice surprise. Nate is snarky, outspoken, hilarious, sweet and has no interest in how much money Alistair has. His only concern is ...more
