Bookish, snarky, and fiercely independent Nate Boudreaux leads a solitary life. Between teaching classes at the university and working toward his PhD, he doesn’t need a partner to occupy his time, and he certainly doesn’t need a man like Alistair Drake complicating his future.

Alistair Drake, black sheep of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, is more interested in addi

It's even better second time around. Man, I loved reading this book but listening this, narrated by "Michael Ferraiuolo" is even better! Seriously, if you love snarky dragons, a bratty omega and Mpreg, you need to drop everything and start listening this book ASAP!

Original review: Edited version

I really regret that I didn’t read this one sooner. This book got under my radar as soon as it came out because well, eggs and dragons and you know I’m slave to those. 😂 Then again

Nate just wanted to get laid. No biggie, right?
But when getting laid ends up with you laying suddenly becomes a real big biggie!
Oh boy, did I love this.
The right book at the right time.
We got dragons ✔️. We got eggs ✔️. We got sexy, hot chemistry ✔️. We got the banter and we got the snark ✔️. We got Everard as well ✔️. We also got Harry ✔️. Did I mention we got Ebola? No? Well, we got Ebola ✔️. And I very nearly forgot Olive - mustn’t forget Olive ✔️. All the perfect

This book was better than awesome... it was the perfect blend of romance, humor, sexy times and suspense and of course DRAGONS! I love dragons and will read anything with them in it. And so much better with books that not just have dragons but sexy well-endowed dragons! LOL The world-building by these authors was just fantastic, I can't wait to see what they add in book two. They have populated this book with a pretty amazing group of people and dragons all very complex, diverse and fun to get t ...more

I don’t care I just love it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Michael Ferraiuolo is the 🐐 and the story just made me so freaking happy. Off to listen to love of my life that is Harry.

EEK! Mpreg-Eggs! MEGGS! And I LOVED it!

Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly (AKA Lynn Van Dorn) have teamed up to bring us something a bit different in the world of mpreg - laying eggs instead of the live births! I've read about it in fanfics, but this might be a first for me reading it in gay romance.

This story sure does start out with a bang and it's like it never let's up! Alistair and Nate get together as a hook-up and spend a crazy hot night together. It isn't until a few months later that Nate
I honestly don't know why I put off reading this. All my friends loved it, but for some reason I was afraid it just wouldn't appeal to me. Boy, was I wrong! This was delightful.

I wasn't sure I would like Nate. I don't tend to like pushy overbearing omegas. I like them a little more Perry. But Nate won me over. I loved how he immediately fell in love with his eggs and would do whatever necessary to keep them safe and loved.

Alistair was a sweetheart. I felt so bad for him and on more
Sweet, funny, exciting, creative… hot, dang! Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly’s Clutch, the first episode in the Forbidden Desires series, has everything!

This is one of the most enjoyable audiobooks I’ve listened to in a very long time, and Michael Ferraiuolo’s performance is spectacular. The upper crust accents he gives to Alistair’s brothers gives just the right level of snootiness and had me laughing out loud. I also don’t think I’ve ever heard him do a “nerd” before, and his Harry is spectacul

Audiobook July 2019: ❤️⭐️👏🔥🥰🥰 I loved listening to this as much as much as I did reading it!!

I’ll be honest and say that it took me awhile to get used to the narration—I had other voices cast in my head. Once I let that cast go, I reveled in the narration and the story again!!!

The only downside is that I don’t have the next audiobook in the series at the ready!!

Original review Jan 2019:
Dragons! Baby Dragons! Adorbs!

I am in love with this book! I can't say what specifically it was about it but I just loved everything pretty much.

Nate is feisty and clever and cute, Alastair is all clueless and determined and a dragon, so there's that.

I loved the world-building and the way mPreg was addressed and I loved all the secondary characters.

A cute read, though it got a bit cheesy sometimes. But a really interesting world to enter and enjoy...
Clutch, mates ...

3.25 stars
Alphas, betas, omegas, baby dragons and a pig named olive are all part of this interesting story. I was on the fence about this one, at first, but the more I read the more entertained I became. Curiosity as to where this book was going kept me around and now it has made me want to grab book 2.
Audio Review 30Dec2019: 4.5 Stars

Michael F did an amazing job with the narration; loved his distinctive voices for each character. He really is a great performer and I'd listen to him read the phone book if he did it with an accent.

Off to listen to Book 2 because Harry and Steve and SCIENCE!!

Original Review 27Feb2019: Once I got past the egg-laying part, the rest of the story was sexy, fun and different. I'm sure there are a lot of Dragon shifter books out there but as I'm not typically a fan I

Entertaining and endearing.

This was just mostly a ton of fun. There were a couple oddities here and there but nothing that pulled me too much out of the good time I was having while reading.

I'm really looking forward to the next one!
3.5 stars

Since the blurb is vague I'll spoiler tag, but there were a few firsts for me with this book (view spoiler).

I enjoyed the two main characters and the way their relationship grew from contentious to HEA. Neither men were looking for a relationship. Nate needed to get through a heat and Alistair wanted a hookup. Alistair is an alpha but he isn't a self-confident one. He is the least successful in his family and they continually remind him of

Well, this was better than I expected. Not perfect, but quite enjoyable.

Nate is an omega who needs an alpha for his heat. He is on suppressants, but he’s still horny, so he finds an alpha on Grindr.

Alistair only does the occasional hookup so he is fine with Nate just wanting him for one night.

After that memorable night Nate is experiencing severe cramps and pains. When he suddenly lays an egg he is gob smacked. His roommate Harry is quite excited though. A real egg! When Nate lays 2 mor

This book was different. I don't think I have ever read about the birth of eggs, or at least I think....anyway, the story was simple but sweet and made me smile many times. Nate was a feisty omega and fierce, while Alistair was cold outside but a real teddy bear inside, and Nate was very lucky to find him. I really wanted to know more about Sebastian(Alistair's big brother)and his omega mate Perry, and most of all, I wanted to see Ev(another of Alistair's brothers, and one day older than

Goodness gracious this was cute and heartwarming and so entertaining! I found this recommended to me through a M/M Romance Rec group that I'm in on FaceBook and it did not disappoint!

If you're looking for omegaverse, mpreg, and dragons this is 100% the book for you.

Alistair Drake is considered the runt of his family, having almost been a dud. And when he meets Ignatius 'Nate' Boudreaux for a one-night stand, they both thought that would be it. But sex and an overflowing condom leads to Na
Omega verses and I are not meant for each other. And m preg where eggs are laid is even a farther row to hoe for me. Why did I skip over the words in italics? I could have spent that hour on cleaning the toilets.
Occasionally I read a m/preg story to check if I find one that works for me - it usually doesn't (with one exception) and it does it even less when it's placed in an A/O universe. So why did I got this one? Good question. Answer: dragons and the hope that eggs might be a different same than your "usual" male pregnancy and it nearly worked. It so much OTT that it nearly dwarfs the Matterhorn, it lovingly embraces its cartoon characters and throws any attempt at logic right out of the window an

Re read on Audio Dec 2019 Even better than the actual reading! Love the audio.

Unique and fun! This is a cut above many mpreg - as it is about dragon's and a unique take at that. I loved reading this - and was completely absorbed. I cannot wait to read Harry's story!
3.5 stars. This one was ok. Nate was annoying. The world building is pretty well done but I still have questions.
4.5 stars! This was all kinds of freaking adorable with a little excitement thrown in *though Perry was quite unconcerned, LOL* and a full cast of awesome characters, funny, quirky, sweet and fearsome. Did I mention that I love dragons? <3

I absolutely loved Nate and Alistair, and I quite enjoyed Alistair's brothers and family and Nate's bestie Harry. I even loved Nate & Alistair's pet pig Olive. And baby dragons! *heart-eyes* Which is why I'm running directly on to Bond!
Out loud laughing and sexy

I haven't laughed with a book in a long time and doing it so with Clutch was simply amazing.
This story is layered, humorous and sexy. The plotline is magical and imaginative; the pace is brisk and main and secondary characters are charismatic and funny.
This is my first Dragon book and I am hooked, lined and sinker.

That was certainly different! It was cute but to be honest, once Harry was on the page, I stopped caring about Nate and Alistair. 😅 I can't wait to read Harry and Ev's book! 😍 Oh and Nate is supposedly a history professor and he still mistakes old Persia for current Iraq *facepalm*.

That was like eating really good chicken parmigiana at a Chinese restaurant. Not at all what I expected, not by a long shot, but I really liked it. 4 stars.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.25 stars

Ok, so I am being as vague as I can here for fear of spoilers, but my guess is that many of you may know just what kind of creature Alistair is (and what type of childbirth Nate has) based on the buzz I am seeing for this story online. In fact, reader chatter on Facebook is what brought this story to my attention, and I am so glad it did. I read Virginia Kelly recently (under the pen name Lynn Van Dorn), and so I was really excited to see what the author did outs

I am always skeptical about books written by co-authors. I know Piper, but I don't know anything about Virginia Kelly.
This one was actually a complimentary of the second book by these authors, Bond.
I read this and I liked the snarky, the funny part of this story. And I was kinda knew that this one was written by Piper (my guess). I like this book at some part. Eggpreg is new for me, but cute nonetheless. This was funny, sweet, far fetched from the usual mpreg I used to read. But fun, at some pa

Piper Scott debuted as a trio of authors looking to write together for fun.
