I'm a good girl. Jax Jamieson is a legend.

The day I wrote my first computer program... he launched his third platinum album.
The night I drank my first beer... he spent in jail.
The day he tried to get me fired... I ended up on his tour.

I'm a college junior with my whole future ahead of me. And he's the vice I'd give it all up for.

Haley and Jax's story continues in Bad Girl

But I recommend you would buy a copy of book 2 (because one absolutely will be hooked after reading book 1),, and see if you are comfortable with the sexual scenes. It is a slow-burn romance, with great characters, but realistically, lots of F-words, and then they hook-up in Book 2, and sex scenes are quite graphic in describing her first experience. (less)

If you’re looking for slow burn romance with a moody rocker hero, and a seemingly sweet and unique heroine, then Good Girl is it. Lawson does a fantastic job stacking the building blocks in book one of this three part series. We get to know Haley and Jax. We learn some of their past and see them grow and change with each other. The tension in this one is more sweet than steamy, and on the steam scale I’d say it rates about a 3 out of 10, but if you’re looking for a story that’s more budding roma ...more

This book was such a fun read! It’s a slow burn romance that I couldn’t put down!

I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.

Piper Lawson has quickly became one of my favorite authors but never has she had me addicted so easily to a storyline as she has with her Wicked series. From the moment I began Good Girl and met Haley and Jax and began the Riot Act Tour, I was enthralled by the push and pull between these two magnetic characters and was left anxiously awaiting the second book in the series Bad Girl. In fact, I am not ashamed to admit th

I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntarily, honest review of it.

I love reading stories about nerds or about rockstars and here you have both! So I was very looking forward to reading it.

‘Good girl’ is a new adult story. It’s a light, fun, easy story to read. Which means that if you’re looking for a rock star story with lots of drama or sex in it than this isn’t the story for you but if you’re looking for a sweet, slow burn story to read than give this one a try.

Book 1 in this Wicked trilogy has really upped the anti for the next two book, and for rock star romances in general. I was hooked from the get-go. Wonderful characters (mainly, super sexy bad boy rock star Jax Jamieson who actually has a heart of pure gold), and the wonderful, innocent Haley Telfer, Graduate intern and super computer geek. Haley, purely by fluke (or is it), ends up touring with rock band ‘Riot Act’ assisting the ageing sound technician, Jerry (who I loved by the way). Haley att ...more

I Loved this story, a really enjoyable Rockstar Romance with a different twist.
Nerdy girl Haley Telfer, finds herself on tour with one of the biggest Rockstars in the world, a dream come true right? Jax Jamieson, Rock God, Sexy as Hell, lead singer in the bad Riot act gets more than he bargains for when Haley gatecrashes onto his tour, to assist Jerry the sound guy.

Nice read with two very likeable characters. A nerdy college student and an accomplished rockstar. It's a cliffhanger kinda deal so I guess I'll give my final review when I'm done this series.

The h is bored with usual set of guys. She doesn’t have the nice experience in sexual department.

“What I can deduce from my own meager experience, porn, and Serena’s war stories is that guys like to be teased, squeezed, popped until they burst all over you, at which point they’re basically deflated hot air balloons taking up the entire bed.”

But she loves the rockstar H. Luckily she gets a technician kind of job on his next tour. But unfortunately when she meets him he is an asshole to

I always like Piper Lawson's books because she creates fascinating and mostly likable, empathetic characters and puts them in realistic situations. These realistic situations tend to include people in their 20s, pursuing their dreams, and experiencing sexual and emotional tension. Writing is not flowery or excessive, although I was surprised by some lyrics in this book that were very evocative and emotional, and the plot always moves along at a steady pace.

This plot included all of the above, p

This is awesome start to what I can Already tell is going to an amazing series. Strong female, rockstars and secrets what’s not to love already. This 3 part series will be released quickly (thank you Piper), and is about rockstar Jax Jamieson and good girl Haley Telfer.

Haley is working her but off for fledge, she is coding queen and sets about creating an app for music but needing cash for the next semester, she applies for a job at Wicked, a record label

In the beginning, I didn’t really understand what was going on and it took me until midway chapter 3 until I got a clear picture as to what was happening in this book. Hang in there if you are like me it is worth it.
The constant back and forth and all of the tension that builds between Haley and Jax. The bus scene in the beginning was unique and original and then who has the peanut allergy? I didn't who was talking there but it was still and interesting limo ride. Jerry, is such a sweet guy thr

This book is a part of the slow burn rock romance series. In this first book we meet funny nerdy with music-obsessed Haley who needs an internship for her college and suddenly ends up part of the tour with famous rock bend and Jax Jamieson the notorious rock star. At first, they start goes not smoothly and Jax wants to get rid of her but it seems that fate and attraction that develops between them is so much stronger. This was a bit of a departure from the format of Lawson's other books and I personally found the cliffhangers really heartwrenching and a bit frustrating, in that, "omg I've got to know what happens next, you're killing me" kind of way. I also thought that this series felt very much like one continuous book as opposed to a series, probably because it focuses solely on one couple.

The couple... Jax and Haley totally grew on me. But, I will say that they really had to grow on me. I liked Jax's who

I'm not typically a fan of rock romances, not because I don't like music, but because I do. I find most rock romances do absolutely nothing stimulating with the music part of the story; the "rock star" status is just a ploy. I love me some Piper Lawson, though, so I decided to see what she would do with that piece of it. Holy crap. This gal has some badass music knowledge. She takes the trope to a whole new level here, setting a new bar, in my opinion. In addition, her characters don't fall into ...more

Something different and much more in the rock-stars' romance trope

What a fantastic, emotional, brilliantly written slow burn romance!
I was hooked from page one, literally. I couldn't stop reading and it ended up with sleepless night. But it was so worth it!
Jax is so moody and judgmental and so not fair with his opinions. Especially about Haley. Miserable because he has regrets to be too much invested in band's live. He lost his motivation and passion for the music. He is going through creative b

This was a great start to this series. It took me a little while to get invested but once the little tidbits for the future were laid out, I got hooked.

Both our leads are compelling characters. Haley is a heroine you can't help but root for because she is the everyday girl (complete with your not so everyday backstory). Jax is mysterious but sweet; definitely swoon worthy.

Parts of this seemed a little choppy to me. Conversations felt a little cut short at times or like things were
This book grabbed me from almost the first chapter. Haley snags an internship where her favorite rocker-star-idol (as in pictures hanging on her bedroom door idol) works, and then she meets the brooding rocker and manages to piss him off on her first day!
I loved book 1 in the series, and moved on to book 2 Immediately ! From the moment I met "kinda Nerdy" / good girl Haley and Rock Star Jax , when she kinda gets thrown onto the bus to join his band's Tour, I was enthralled by the push and pull

What do you do when you are suddenly on tour with your favorite band of all time? Haley needs an internship for school and when she goes to Wicked Records, she suddenly finds herself sent on tour to assist the sound technician and directly in Jax Jamieson’s world. Jax doesn’t know what to make of Haley, she is honest, odd and captivating. I devoured this rock ‘n roll romance, loving the connection between Haley and Jax. Jax is carrying some deep demons. Hayley has had it tough for the last few years since her mother died, but she is determined to get through college with scholarships and hard work. She applies for an internship at a record company, in fact "the" record company, the one who represents her very favourite artist Jax Jamieson. This is the first of three books in the Wicked series and is the story of Jax and Haley. Wow, this book will grab your attention right at the beginning. Haley's life takes on a whole different turn when she interns for a rock band and goes on tour with them. She soon finds that there's an attraction between her and Jax, the star. But there are strict rules on employees getting involved. Lots of drama, a search for her unknown father and dealing with demons from the past. This book ends on a clif ...more

Wonderful rock and roll romance story so far. The story is well written, flows well and is believable. The characterizations are great; the reader gets a good sense of whom each of the players are in this tale. This is a short, quick read but it still packs a punch. A gamut of emotions were experienced by this reader when encountering the happenings with the characters. Ms. Lawson ably sets the stage for part two of this series. She certainly has whetted this reader's appetite for more of the "W ...more

One Story Split into Three Books

This is a solid "3" rating, except the narrative has been divided into 3 books and for that blasphemy the first 1 /3 gets only 2 stars. If you want more money, charge more! But don't tease us that we are beginning a series of three books. Loved Haley's quirkiness, her encyclopedic knowledge of music from the Blues forward, her devastation over the loss of her mother, even her dislike of being touched (she does the touching, if there is any, that way she's always i

I didn't think I'd ever love a heroine as much as I loved Charlie from NSFW! Well, I was wrong! Haley is just as kick@ss but a bit softer and vulnerable. I adored her character! Jax, well.... Jax is everything a rock god should be. Talented, intense, moody, and absolute definition of sexy! Oh the sizzling chemistry between these two!
Thank you Piper Lawson! Since I began reading this, I put off doing my laundry and a bunch of other things, including sleep! I'm absolutely hooked and dying for my n

Good start

Good start to the series. Need more though. Need to find out what's happening to poor Haley. Lots of manipulation going on for sure. Love the support she gets from her best friend Serena and even Lita.
Not sure what I think of the brooding sexy rockstar Jax as of yet. I do know how he tries to look out for those he cares about though.
Little half truths, twists, and a slow burn for sure but with a quick storyline. So we'll see what happens next.

I love everything by Piper Lawson! This is a great start to this three part series, Wicked. I love Haley because she's so normal, but also so spunky and driven. Her innocence is adorable. And I love Jax because...come on. He has hard edges and the sweetest soft spots. I love a good story about a commoner falling for a star. This is done without the eye-rolls and unrealistic way some I've read have been done. I also love that this is the first part of a three part story. I always want more of my ...more

The entire time I was reading this book I had an enthusiastic feeling. I constantly wanted to know what would happen next.

I really love how the author creates her characters. I have read 6 other books of her, and I think every character is different. Which, in my opinion is very impressive.

The writing style in this book is so good and I was so immersed in Haley and Jax' s life.

Now I'm quickly going to start reading bad girl, book two in this series.

I don't like serials. One star off. Nice writing. I don't feel warm connection with Haley and Jax (yet) but I like Haley's genius. I just don't get Jax. (Yet). Early days as two more installments are forthcoming if I remember to catch them. I remember the old days when books were full length and could be read in a sitting.

Haley reminds me of someone with asperger's. And I Love Her character! Two worlds collide with the only thing in common is his music. The rockstar you love to hate but is truly a kind at heart. It took me till the end of this book to swoon for Jax and hate Cross. Watch out this book is will leave you hanging and wanting more.

I’m completely irrevocably in love with this new series. Who doesn’t love a rockstar? And Jax is the ultimate rockstar. He’s everything: a little naughty, a bit of a jerk, a little arrogant and a dash of sweetness. I am also fan girling over Haley. She’s just a little bit of a nut and I love her. Can’t wait to read the next book.
WOW -WOW- WOW - Piper's new series is off to a great start!!! It's a quick fun read that has you wanting the next book right away. Haley and Jax's story is just building in this book. From their first meeting, to their time on tour I just couldn't't get enough. There are secrets and twists, strong females, hot rockers, great friends, chemistry and love. Don't miss this must read!
