A sweet romance filled with that angst between two characters in which both have a common past that must be dealt with or their future is at stakes of being together...

Let me start off by saying that I have not read a Lauren Layne novel in such a long time. And to have this beauty in my hands was just so a blessing yet a risk I was willing to take. The reason being is the last book I read from Lauren's was not actually my cup of tea so I was very hesitant to dive into this one. The risk was fo

If the kiss on Saturday had been the promise, this was the delivery. The sort of kiss that ruined a girl for all other kisses in the future.

I’ve been a fan of Lauren Layne’s writing for several years now. I haven’t always loved every story she’s written, but the ratio of her books that I love definitely outweigh the ones that I did not. ”PASSION ON PARK AVENUE” went at a very slow pace for almost the first half of the book. I was worried that this was going to

Thanks to Gallery Books for the early review copy!

This book was kind of my breaking point in wishing that romance books came with ratings because I was expecting angst and steamy scenes in this but there's only one fade-to-black scene. So from now on, I'm rating romance books in my reviews, and this is definitely rated G.

I enjoyed this book mainly because it was written better than a lot of romance books I've been reading. The writing was actually very nice and I never found myself caught up wi

The premise to this series is absolutely; three women realize they've been sleeping with the same man at his funeral, not realizing he's been married the entire time. A new series from Lauren Layne about love stories in the city that never sleeps? Oh yeah, as you probably know I definitely got curious since I enjoy everything this woman writes! I am always excited when Lauren starts a new series and after reading this book, I can say I am surely ready for the other two books. I do have to say though, even though I loved this new crew of characters, I found myself a bit underwhelmed after

Passion on Park Avenue was fun and flirty! I absolutely adored the characters and I loved that this book had one of my favorite tropes ever, love to hate. It had a Sex and the City vibe and the way the story unfolded made it feel like a movie was playing in my head. With laugh out loud humor and moments that kept me smiling, this book was so easy to devour. So if you adore cute romance stories that also hold an emotional edge, definitely add this one to your tbr!

I’ve read a number of Lauren Layne (LL) books somewhere between eighteen and twenty and there are a few things I’ve come to expect.  I always expect a thoroughly enjoyable story, an eventual HEA, a group of fun friends that are pretty hilarious and one or two steamy sex scenes.  Passion in the Park had most of this, except when it

I received a copy of this title via NetGalley. It does not impact my review.

I’m a big fan of Lauren Layne and always look forward to her books. While Passion on Park Avenue was enjoyable, I have to admit I found it a little underwhelming.

I’m going to start with the things I liked:

-I loved Oliver. He was smart and sweet and loyal and I just adored him. I liked his dedication to his family, even though they had their issues. I liked the romance between him and Naomi, even if it was frustrating so

I have been a longtime fan of Lauren Layne since her Stiletto series years ago and am literally obsessed with everything she writes. She has a finger on the pulse of what people want and knows how to deliver. Her banter game is strong and one of my favorite things about her stories. Naomi and Oliver were so delicious. I loved their spitfire back and forth banter and the chemistry they had in spades.

I was immediately intrigued by the introduction Layne gave to this series with three women who ha

Cute and fun with a touch of angst. Interesting premise and good use of the enemies-to-lovers trope. I liked Layne’s 21 Wall Street Series better, but this was still a quick, easy read that had you turning pages and escaping for a few hours.

I felt that Naomi's grudge was a little overblown (they were children when it happened, and I think blaming Oliver for everything was a little much). Still I enjoyed the tension it created between the two. We are introduced to two of Naomi friends who I assu

How freaking CUTE was this book!? Lauren Layne has yet to disappoint me with her fabulous contemporary romances, and Passion on Park Avenue, the first in her new Central Park Pact series, is no different. I had such a fun time with Naomi and Oliver, as well as the women Naomi makes a pact with: Claire and Audrey. The series centers around these three women who had a relationship with a man… unknowingly at the same time. I loved that they made the most of i

Lauren Layne is back with a brand new series based in New York City, following three women, who meet in a pretty unique circumstance. They all meet at the funeral of the man they are all involved with, and it’s as awkward as you would expect. Surprisingly, this friendship was actually one of the best things about this book. They all call each other out, make them accountable and really just make them each better people. We do meet everyone who is in the future books and I’m very excited for all ...more

Refreshing, clean romance.
Sometimes it is so refreshing to read a fun, clean story that does not contain loads of drama and issues. I found this book to be a perfect story for a lazy afternoon.

A fast yet touching story that gave me all the feels we look for in a classic romance book. Layne crafted wonderfully complex characters that not only had a heart but reflected so much of what we have in our own lives. My heart broke a bit every time she helped Walter. Made me think about my
'Naomi Powell had brought him back to life, made him realize that he hadn't died with his mom, or with his father's diagnosis; he'd just been living that way.'

I hesitate to call this a 'sweet romance' because for many, 'sweet' has a negative connotation. But I found this a sweet, heartwarming story with endearing characters.

Lauren Layne pens a story about three women who form an unlikely friendship after they discover they've all been deceived and used by the same person. 'Passion on Park Av

Passion on Park Avenue is the first book in the Central Park Pact! Each of the books in the series CAN stand alone as they feature different characters however, I recommend reading this one FIRST as you get to know how these ladies became friends. Also, it's such a cute story that I don't think readers are going to want to miss it! That being said, I feel like this book falls better within the chick lit categ

I’ve read quite a few LL books and she never disappoints! I love her style of writing, her use of humor and snark and her ability to create fun, relatable characters that you like instantly. This is the first in a new series following a group of new friends living in NYC and I’m so excited to see where things are headed next.

From the first chapter I was hooked, Naomi meets two new potential friends in the most bizarre way, think the opposite of a romantic meet cute, except it is kind of cute. An
This was a delightful and really quick read. I thought the meet cute between the three heroines for this series was awkward but cute and I enjoyed getting to know both Oliver and Naomi. There were times when I wanted to shake some damn sense into Naomi but for the most part, I enjoyed her character. She was smart, strong and overcame a lot to get to where she was today and I admired her for it. Oliver was a fantastic hero and I can't wait to see more from these characters in the books to follow.

Book: Passion on Park Avenue

Author: Lauren Layne

Chatty romance book thoughts:
Lauren Layne is my queen of romance, her books are always a wonderment of flirty banter, standout character ‘moments’ and copious amount of bubbly. This particular book was as lovely as it’s gorgeously illustrated front cover. I loved the premise of this book - the friendship scenes and the developing romance were just what I normally fall for and I enjoyed the history behind this books leading duo. I’m also excited to

Passion on Park Avenue starts off in sort of a bizarre way. Naomi is headed to the funeral of her boyfriend, who she found out (per his obituary) now has a widow. She meets said widow and another mistress the day of the funeral and they become fast friends.

Now, while I ABSOLUTELY love the idea of women scorned by a man not taking that scorn out on each other, it still felt a bit unbelievable. However, I kept reading, I wanted to see if that was a bond this author could truly keep up.

I'm happy

As a self-proclaimed Lauren Layne superfan, I was really looking forward to the start of a fun new NYC-set romance series from LL. I knew going into the book that this would be a sweet romance with fade-to-black sex scenes, so I tried to temper my expectations accordingly. The story follows Oliver, a hard-working, good guy, who is taking care of his ailing father and Naomi, a self-made millionaire who moved in next door to Oliver with some secrets about both of their lives.

Oh this was such a quick, fun read!!! I loved the premise of this (which isn't really all in the summary so I won't spoil it!) and how these three women become friends. I've been on a bit of a binge lately, devouring Lauren Layne books like it's my job. While Passion on Park Avenue was cute and different, fresh and certainly romantic, I struggled to connect with Oliver and Naomi in the way I have with Layne's other characters. I was more of a spectator in this story and while I enjoyed it, I would've liked to have felt more immersed than I was. There was just something missing for me. It was cute, just not my favorite from this author. But I'm absolutely invest ...more

Lauren Layne is one of my favorite authors. And having read quite a few of her books, I have come to expect certain things from her. This book delivered them all! I loved the friendships that were formed and the romance was swoony. I can't wait to read more about this group of people :)

there were lots of good things - i loved the characters, both main characters and the friends. i loved how the girls became friends. i love their conversations, their friendship seemed so realistic (well, maybe not the beginning but how they interacted, and i loved the beginning of their friendship regardless). i liked how naomi grew, i felt

Passion on Park Avenue was my first Lauren Layne book, and I loved it. I didn't realize that it was the first in a trilogy that centers on one of three best friends (this one is Naomi's story) when I started reading it, but I'm so glad and now want to read Love on Lexington Avenue ASAP, this was so good!

Thrillers and suspense novels are my go-to genre, but romantic comedies are my guilty pleasure. I've been in a bit of a reading and life slump lately where not much has interested me, but these a

Passion on Park Avenue is a fun read. Three women meet in a very strange way. They become friends and decide to help each other with the dating scene. Naomi and Oliver are adorable characters. They are likeable and dynamic together. The story is engaging and well written. It's a great romcom read. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Passion on Park Avenue by Lauren Layne started off like a scene from Sex in the City and I loved it!!

Now a little background information...

Naomi is a fighter. She has worked hard to be where she is right now. Her story is more than the typical rags to riches. She gets hit with a blast from the past, Oliver Cunningham. Cue the tension.

Naomi's mother worked as the housekeeper for the Cunninghams. They lived at 517 Park Avenue and though Naomi crushed on Oliver when she was 9 years old, Ol

Thank you so much to Gallery Books and Netgalley for sending this to me!!

I really enjoyed this one! It was super fast paced, addicting, light, and reminded me a lot of Sex and the City with a splash of Gossip Girl! I blew through this in two sittings and was surprised at how quickly I devoured this one!

Lauren Layne debuts her Central Park Pact series with a delectable tale of the sassy self-made billionaire Naomi Powell who is determined to prove her worth to the Manhattan elite.

When Oliver Cunningham was tasked to interview the feisty redhead interested in moving next door to him, he was captivated by her beauty and intrigued by her instant disdain towards him. He couldn’t help but vote for her to move in because there’s nothing better than solving a beautiful puzzle. But will he be able to
