This was an odd reading experience. It's another collection of shorts and I'm just not a fan of anthologies. But the shorts were ridiculously good in this one! So much better than volume one, probably because of the Shattered Grid tie-ins...but this was like an edgy and dark take on Power Rangers and I really loved most of these...the frustrating part being i wanted more. We got all the different Rangers in this which is cool because I don't know too much about them, but they felt more mature than the usual. This made me excited to try out the main series! :)
I liked this one a lot better than the first volume of Lost Chronicles...In general I think I'm just not much of an anthology person as far as comics go but the fact that a lot of this volume contained part of the shattered grid arc that I could follow more easily helped I think. Also really dug Astronema's trial, I've always loved that character and have a lot of nostalgia attached to her. And I feel like her characterization in that story was really strong.
I don’t feel like this really fills in any major gaps in the narrative around Shattered Grid and mostly feels like the most diehard of fan service. There’s some fun stories in here but after reading them all across two sittings, I feel like I’ve already forgotten some of the earlier ones that were about later generations in the MMPR canon. Probably best to stick to the mainline comics and circle back for this stuff only if you find yourself really craving more content.
I was lost reading this. I don't know who any of these characters are and what was going on in their short stories. This may be written for people who watched the show or have more investment prior to the comics. I hope that volume 9 eases up of this. Prior to this volume I was really enjoying the story and characters.
A much better mixed bag this round. These are generally prequel/standalone stories related to the much larger Shattered Grid storyline that took place.
Enjoyed getting glimpses into the other dimensions' Power Rangers.
Collects 2018 Annual #1 and the 25th Anniversary Special.
Review: Good fun if you're familiar with the 10 different teams this issue tells stories about...not so much if you're not familiar. Which was my case with Samurai and Ninja Steel stories.

This is a compilation of one-shot stories from the shattered grid event. I enjoyed most of the stories, and I would venture to say that there’s something to look forward to with each team iteration for power ranger fans. Obviously, not all teams got coverage, but I think the ones pertinent to the shattered grid storyline had a side-story.
Watching drakkon fighting the rangers from other worlds is a plus. And the trial of astronema definitely fleshes out karone more. Idk dr. K is kinda cool and scorpinas dog is a cutie.
