Great history of the D-Day Invasion with historical material and personal stories from the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. It contains stories from the men who were actually on the American beaches, those dropped behind the beaches and those who shelled and delivered them to the beaches. Lots of maps and illustrations. I would put this book at the top of list for people interested in the individual conflicts of the invasion.
