An interesting find I stumbled upon in the book store (when I was trying to avoid the "fairies" that were coming upstairs to perform). Being that enjoy scrapbooking/cardmaking, I am always trying to come up with visually interesting and unique layout designs for my creations. I easily fall in a rut though and can't always "see" my way through my comfort zones. I think this book will be a wonderful reference to help guide me through the moments of creator's/writer's block. And, because of how the book is sectioned, I think it will be a wonderful quick guide to reference when I want to think of something different to do with just a title or a journaling block or card sentiment or photo editing, etc. This book could become invaluable if I use it and use it properly and I would end up having to give it five stars then...but that has to happen first for me.

This book is great to get ideas for layout for text, graphics, paragraphs, grids, etc. I recently bought this book and have already used it! It is a very handy tool to get ideas on any graphic design project when you are stumped. This does not offer full layouts, just parts that you can combine (hence the cookbook title) and is a great resource.

uuuhhhhh, this book ruined my life. kidding. We created our own version of this cookbook for graphic design class in college with 360 individual designs, and it was the most horrible thing ever.
