The Man On the Iron Horse

Rate this book
"Who is the man on the iron horse?" the children ask as they come from far and near the beautiful city nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak. For there he sits on his horse of bronze, gazing over the wide streets, waiting to share his city, the tall mountains, and the blue Colorado sky with all who come. On cool summer evenings, children and old-timers walk softly as they pass, for some say the sound of eagles' wings fills the night air around the man on the iron horse.

Hey if you live in Colorado Springs and want a short history on William Jackson Palmer here you go. I've read a lot about him and this very up beat almost child's way of memorializing him was fun. Nothing critical at all, just a happy book about the founder of Colorado Springs.
