This book is designed to prepare you for the incredible events of the restoration of the House of Israel. The scriptures teach that the restoration of the Lost Tribes of Israel will rival the exodus of Egypt in both wonder and might. Most people assume the body of the Lost Tribes will be restored through missionary work. Does missionary work rival the Egyptian exodus in wonder and might? There is something far greater awaiting us - something most of us are not looking for. Consider for a moment the restoration of the Jewish state. Did the Lord restore the Jewish nation through missionary work? No. The Church did not play a significant role in the restoration of the Jewish state. The restoration of the body of the Lost Tribes of Israel will be the same way. It will be an event so incredible, that kings will shut their mouths in astonishment when it occurs. It will shape the events of America, and the world, more than any of the peripheral signs and wonders most people associate with the Second Coming. If you do not understand the covenants that the Lord has made regarding the restoration of the House of Israel, you are not prepared for what is about to transpire upon the earth. Get ready for an amazing adventure, things are about to get very exciting!2020 Edition - Mostly grammatical updates compared to prior versions, with some additional commentary. Also, all scripture references have been included in the body of the chapter, rather than as endnotes. There have been no changes to the basic premise or concepts as outlined in prior versions.
I cannot even express my love for this book and for Micheal Rush and his knowledge and brilliance in putting it together. I’ve never been one to be able to read scripture and understand what it was I just read. Micheal was soooo incredibly good at writing this book and it references many scripture that are easy to understand and even exciting!!! Micheal put a new found love within my heart for the gospel and for what we have to look forward to with Christ’s coming and the coming of the lost 10 tribes💗💗💗
Read the July 2020 edition. I don’t really know how to rate this book. It was a very intriguing read. I decided to take the author’s advice and read through the entirety of the book before going back through to study individual selections in depth. I think that is a good way to approach this.
I have been intensely interested in the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel since I was a kid. I studied as much as I could 15-25 years ago — life getting in the way after that when I had young children. I remember asking one of my BYU religion professors about the difference between the gathering and the return of Israel. He obviously had no idea what to say and claimed he had never heard of the return. At that pointI realized I would have to do a lot more studying on my own.
This is the most in-depth analysis of the Lost Ten Tribes I have come across. I found it worthy of deeper consideration. I appreciate that the author repeatedly tells his reader to study things on their own and to seek revelation from the Holy Ghost. It really is the only way to know.
One thing a reader must also keep in mind is to dismiss the author’s grammar and mechanics errors. I urge anyone who gets hung-up on that stuff to look beyond the written word to the spirit of the message.
Thought-provoking, motivating book about latter day prophecies
An excellent and thorough study of biblical, apocryphal, and latter day prophecies about the scattering, gathering, trials, and other events that will take place before the second coming of Jesus Christ. Recommended for those with a firm faith in God.
I picked this up to study the gathering of Israel and what I found was much more than that. Whatever you do, you need to read and ponder what is in this book!
It was straight forward and easy to understand. I so appreciate Michael reiterating that these are his opinions and thoughts and for the reader to seek out the truthfulness through prayer and the holy ghost. Utilizing personal revelation for our own growth in knowledge and truth.
Some interesting things, some crazy things. Worth reading for the purposes of starting an internal conversation about these ideas. I think it would be interesting to chat with the author about these things.
This book provides insight to help the reader better understand the writing of Isaiah, the author points out that Isaiah’s prophecies are quoted in every book of scripture (Old and New Testaments, Book of Mormon, D&C, and the Pearl of Great Price). It is also interesting that the author mentioned that Isaiah was married to a woman referred to as “The Prophetess.”
This book stresses the reality and urgency as to why The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ current focus is on their tenth Article of Faith which starts with, ”We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and the restoration of the ten tribes.”
President Russell M. Nelson’s warning and admonition regarding power in the priesthood are astounding! If we are to survive the coming days, we must be able to attain such priesthood power. President Nelson said the way to obtain this power is to be instructed by the Lord himself. How often have you sought instruction from the Lord regarding this thing?
If one is to obtain power in the priesthood, that power must come from the Father. Power in the priesthood does not come from the laying on of hands! A man can have the priesthood conferred upon him and never attain any degree of power in that priesthood because he does not seek it. Likewise, who can doubt that there have been many women throughout history that, although never ordained to an office of the priesthood, have none the less wielded the power of God. Women who learn from the Father how to wield such power, have saved the house of Israel on more than one occasion.
Indeed, the discerning woman, who has received the higher learning in the Lord’s house, should realize the reality of this truth. The Father has and will promise tremendous power in the priesthood to every one of his children, regardless of race or sex, if they will make and keep sacred covenants pertaining to that priesthood. Those who enter into the House of God, are meant to be changed by the sacred ordinances that take place with its walls.
"A Remnant Shall Return" is a fascinating detailed scriptural analysis of the latter-day restoration of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel that examines prophetic events preceding the Second Coming of Christ. The book includes over 650 scripture citations and references from latter-day prophets positioning it as a comprehensive scriptural study. Michael B. Rush approaches biblical prophecy through a Latter-day Saint lens, drawing connections between various scriptural sources. Rush is noted as "the first LDS scholar to accurately decipher the prophetic writings of Ezra now known as Ezra's Eagle" which suggests his interpretive approach involves connecting ancient texts with modern prophetic fulfillment. The book appears to synthesize materials from multiple scriptural traditions, including the Bible, Book of Mormon, and apocryphal texts. One reviewer noted that the author "has studied the scriptures and made some useful connections between different scriptures as they relate to the remnant of Israel" indicating Rush's methodology involves cross-referencing various religious texts to support his interpretations. The book touches on Rush's work regarding the restoration of the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel and prophetic interpretations related to the last days, and offers an interesting take on the anti-Christ, that could be coming from outer-space. This person will perform miracles, deciecving many and turning many of the elect away from Christ. A great read and a book worthwhile studying again and again, while keeping an eye on what is happening in the world.
Rush pulls together everything. Scriptures, Dead Sea Scrolls, Words of the Prophets, etc. I don't think he misses anything. Most of it I have read, much of it I own, however never have I seen it all in one book, put in order so no matter where it happened or was said all supporting material was together. It presents an astounding religious history. You do not have to agree with his conclusions to appreciate what he has accomplished. Or you may.
I love that this book exists to put all the scriptures that reference the end of times all together and the author gives his interpretation of them. I thought it could’ve been displayed visually better and had some visuals or charts. But I recommend reading this or something like it for sure. I want to know all I can to be prepared and what to expect.
Well researched. Thought provoking. Whether all of his conclusions are accurate is not as important as engaging in the thought process. He uses scripture extensively. I personally believe the majority of his conclusions. I have read all 4 of his books twice and recommend them highly for those willing to ask, seek, and knock with an open mind. I spent 45 years as a trial lawyer. He has done well with his evidence, analysis and conclusions. Well done Mr. Rush!
I have recommended this book to my children and many of my friends. If you are more than casually interested in the last days, this book is a must read!
Fascinating book... Michael does a great job of outlining his thoughts on what is to come. I couldn't put the book down during the first three chapters, as just like the author found myself shaking when I finished just those three.
Wow! This is an intense look at the last days. I can’t imagine how much time he spent in gathering sources, etc. I took one star off because I felt like some of the middle chapters could have been whittled down quite a bit. A thought provoking analysis.
Wonderful interpretations of scriptures and scripts …
I have learned so very much from this book! And so easy to read and understand - but we are encouraged to not just read over everything as in meeting a deadline- but to read, Pray and ponder, to seek out the meaning and intent … to prepare ourselves Spiritually for the ‘coming day’ … To seek out the ‘meat’ of a message- rather than being content with the ‘milk’ that is for everyone to understand- to delve deeper …
This is a well written thorough study of the last days. It is not easy reading. It is meant to read and reread. I am happy I was told by a friend to read this. It is fascinating!
Rush provided a lot for me to think about. This was perhaps the best book about the last days that I have read. The chapters about Ezra's Eagle blew me away.
2024- Listened to the book on youtube. Still waiting to see how Ezra's eagle will play out.
2022 I'm not really sure what to rate this book. It is religion specific, so not all Christians will appreciate it. I actually listened to podcasts on Audible which seemed to be an audio version of the book. It was just supper annoying that the podcasts were listed in reverse order, so I had to go in after every podcast and choose the next one as the last "chapter" started playing. Must have heard that opening 33 times.
It was very thought provoking, but honestly, there were several times that my mind was elsewhere, through no fault of the podcast. I want to get the book and read it. There was a story in one of the last chapters that blew me away. I would love more info on it.
The book is pre -2020, so the catastrophe guessed at wasn't quite on when talking about Ezra's Eagle
