Excitement and adventure keep readers on the edge of their seat throughout the thrilling romance. Arvik and Rayne are more than they seem and this story quickly escalates as they both unleash their true selves to take on the bad guys and these strong, fascinating characters easily pulls readers right along with them. Some differences and some difficult choices will have to be overcome if they have any chance of a happy ever after but the chemistry sizzles and the passion heats things up even as ...more

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

Dire Wolf Wanted is the fourth book in the Ice Age Shifters series. This time we have another dire wolf as a main character and the other main character is a pretty unique shifter as well, but I am not going to spoil that. Dire Wolf Wanted continues some plot lines from previous book and I think it works best if you read the previous books or at least book 3. I enjoyed reading this book.

The book starts with both main characters
I've had a busy week, so I haven't had as much time for uninterrupted, gripping reading (a couple sessions and the book is finished) as usual, which may have unfairly wound up being the deciding factor in whether I rounded my rating up to four or down to three.

I definitely did like the characters, and the issues of undercover deceptions and historical hatreds made their relationship no simple path. I should have guessed that Skyla's indomitable sister Rayne wasn't really dead, and Arvik's

In Dire Wolf Wanted, we continue the Ice Age Shifters series with Rayne Chekal, Skyla's sister who appeared to have been killed in the last story. Rayneis an agent for the Shifter Tribunal and teams up with Arvik Inuktan, a Wizard Imperium agent and secret shifter in her mission to take down the illegal auction house that has been kidnapping and selling shifters. As they work together, they realize there is a much bigger problem than just the auction house. They both feel that they might have ...more

Adventure, action and shifters galore

This book is so much better if you have read the earlier books but could be read as a stand alone. Packed with twists and unexpected actions, answers from the other books , major surprises and romance that takes a second place to survival but is all the stronger for it. I thought I had guessed what came next and was happily very wrong This is a wonderfully written story that will have you second guessing everything Not as funny as the

So far, I've only read 2 books of the Ice Age Shifters series, and I'm ready for more. What's really intriguing is how the stories are connecting with each other, with each book telling a bit more about the history of this world.

The story was expert at weaving strands of real world history and mythology and giving it a magical twist. I was blown away by the depth of the various cultures that Carol Van Natta has created here. Shifters, wizards, fairies (among others) have their own hierarchies,

The continuing series

Van Natta writes a great story with Dire Wolf Wanted, as it's a great addition to the Ice Age Shifters series (this is book 4). I've read the ones that came before it, and each one tells a great story, and this is no exception. The dire wolf is the main character and has a great connection with other unique shifters. The relationships are survival dependent and it brings the reader into the "underworld" of the slave trade of shifters. It's a great story, and I enjoyed the

Excellent series

The Ice Age Shifters books chart a single story arc through a series of four individual happily ever afters. It's not obvious from the first book, which really just introduces Kotoyeesinay, the supernatural sanctuary town hidden in the Wyoming wilderness, but it becomes much more obvious in the subsequent three books. The end is ambiguous as to whether the threat the heroes defeat in that book is the predicted threat which spawned the reemergence of ice age shifters. Regardless,

Dire Wolf Wanted is a great addition to the Ice Age Shifters series. There are some characters and story lines that can be recognized from the first three books, yet this can be read as a stand alone book, also. This is an engaging story with very likable heroes, lots of action, loyalty and magic. The imagery of being a wolf running through the snow packed Rocky Mountains makes you feel as if you are there, on four feet, your nose to the wind. An intriguing story line, paranormal romance, ...more

Rayne Chekal and Arvik Inuktan are both undercover trying too take down the illegal auction house that trafficks in shifters when they cross paths. Seems that both think the other is their mate but there are problems. Raine and Arvik both have secrets about what they are doing and what they are. Before they can be together they must be apart. Each is focused on the same problem but coming at it from different directions. There is a war coming and each has a part to play. A great story with ...more

Fast-paced, edge of your seat story, with intrigue, danger, betrayal and romance. Arvik and Rayne are both strong characters, each with their own secrets, who take you along for the ride of your life. The bad guys will never know what hit them in the end. Lots of ups and downs in this story, along with a couple of twists that make the book one that you dont want to put down. I highly recommend this book to paranormal lovers everywhere. ...more

Rayne Chekal is undercover for the Shifters Tribunal and Arvik Inuktan is undercover for the Wizard's Imperium. They are mates but due to their jobs they feel they can't mate. They come together again during the coming war. Great series. I don't think this is the last of the series because shee left several loose ends. I hope not I liked this series hope it continues.

This is a great story with some awesome characters! I haven't had the opportunity to read any of the earlier stories and I have a feeling that even though it was easy to read and follow along, it would have made this action packed story even better!

I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
