A Joyfully Jay review.

4.5 stars

I really liked how these two kindred spirits connected. Felipe is beloved by his family, but he’s very different from many of them. With the love comes tension. And, it gets complicated when Felipe’s family pretty much wants to meet Trask. Having come from a big family, I felt drawn to both Felipe and Trask on this part—because I’ve been in similar relationship struggles. Trask, who has no family ties to claim, refuses to come between Felipe and his family, but ho

While I don’t think, I will ever be a geek in terms of games and cosplaying – I got lost when these characters talk about the games – but I was so taken with how Marguerite Labbe wrote the characters in the first book, I was begging the blog team for this ARC because of the glimpse of Felipe and Trask in A Little Side of Geek

The younger cosplayer Felipe Suero, is the SUNSHINE of the team. He’s a little mercurial, when he talks he cannot stop, and once Felipe is determined to do something, watch

Well, if you are in the mood for a book that goes “full geek,” do I have the book for you.

A Whole Latte Sass, the second in Marguerite Labbe‘s Geek Life Series, is all the geekery of book one, squared. You got the cosplaying Felipe Suero just shining in his many themed costumes, and Trask Briscoe, whose life basically revolves around cons and his gaming shop, making sure that all those crazy role-playing gamers don’t go underrepresented. If you are looking for geek…don’t look any further. It’s a

ARC provided by the publisher through Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words in exchange for an impartial review.

Felipe Suero is a cosplayer. He’s also a gamer, a costume designer, a college student, and a tollbooth operator for the state—a job he loathes. As soon as he graduates and gets a decent job he’s out of there. In the meantime, he attends conventions, making his own highly detailed costumes, flirts outrageously, and hangs with his bestie, Morris (A Little Side of Geek).

As soon as I finished book one, A Little Side of Geek, I knew I needed to immediately start A Whole Latte Sass. This series is filled with so many geeky references that even if you don 't follow the shows, books, games, etc., you will hopefully still love this series.

I loved Felipe, he is sassy and amusing and so many other things in between. When he took a liking to Trask it gave me so many gooey feels because I love May/December relationships. There is just something about an older man and a

I love Felipe. He’s such a cute guy. He’s also surprisingly mature for a drama queen 😂

Marguerite has been accused of being eccentric and a shade neurotic, both of which she freely admits to, but her muse has OCD tendencies, so who can blame her? Her husband and son do an excellent job keeping her toeing the line, though. Together with her co-author Fae Sutherland, Marguerite has found a shared passion for beautiful men with smart mouths.

When she's not working hard on writing new m
