Even though this story didn't seem to have much Christmas in it, I did enjoy it. I mean a homeschool girl who started her own sewing business, who has dyslexia, and who comes from a larger family–that's not your typical story. The characters were all fun. I really appreciated how Brian spoke honestly but with respect about his mom even though he didn't agree with her. The romance was sweet and felt real. I did wish there had been some more description of what this Christmas quilt looked like as ...more

A very cute, sweet story full of love, friendship, memories, hope and more. Handmade family quilts provide precious memories and give opportunity for making new memories. I enjoyed this story very much. I was given a complimentary copy of this story. This is my personal honest opinion. No review was required.

“An entrepreneur thinks about building a business that succeeds long-term. He—she—has a vision of something and works toward that vision, knowing that success is behind it. Look at this place. You had a vision."

This is the story of Penny Anderson, a bridal dress designer opening her studio in her family homestead. It’s also the story of her family’s history and honoring traditions and love. And it’s magnificent! Penny and her old friend Brian discover they might be more than old friends as she a

Cathe Swanson has swiftly become one of my favorite authors. I love her unique voice and that her books feel familiar without ever feeling formulaic. Her characters are quirky, have depth, and are just fun to get to know. And I rarely know exactly where the story is going - which I love! This story was delightful! I had some ideas where it was going when I read the synopsis and I was completely wrong! I really enjoyed this reunion romance, and I'm really looking forward to more time with these c ...more

What a wonderful holiday story! From cover to cover it is full of love for family and includes a sweet romance as well. "Accidents" and incidents alike made me chuckle throughout. Spiritual insights were delicately woven into the story and were an inspiration. The characters were believable and it was fun to make their acquaintance. This is one of those books I will read more than once. It may become one of my Christmas traditions.

The Christmas Glory Quilt is a great start to a new series! I can't sew to save my life, but I enjoy living vicariously through these characters. Penny is starting a new business venture...in the boonies of Wisconsin. I love how this book ended and can't wait to read more!

I enjoyed this book for its cast of characters and humor. It begins with a ladder/door/blood on fabric incident that is actually funnier than it sounds. I enjoyed this book for its accurate portrayal of those with learning challenges - showing that just because someone is dyslexic doesn't mean that they aren't intelligent and talented. As a quilter, I enjoyed this book for the quilts, although Penny is pretty anti-quilt through most of the book, she begins to see them in a different light later ...more

Cathe Swanson lives in Wisconsin with her husband of 32 years. They enjoy spending time with their family and being outdoors, kayaking, hiking, birdwatching and fishing, but summer is short in Wisconsin, so it’s important to have indoor hobbies, too. Cathe has been a quilter and teacher of quiltmaking for over 25 years, and she enjoys just about any kind of creative work, especially those involvin ...more
