He wrote a book and she’s going to play him at his game. The synopsis for Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules totally won me over. I don’t read many Billionaire or office romance but I will definitely be looking at more by Annika Martin. This was beautifully executed and I love the twist to the end.

Mia is a struggling actress she works as a sandwich delivery girl. Her newest order is to old enemy Max. They went to school together. Now he’s a successful businessman who has written about getting the

on god i have stayed up all night for this book and im so tired, hungry, cranky (period) and im crying and im sooooo in love with this book and annika martin oh god i love her so much like i cant–i dont even have words. im just about to be more incoherent but this seriously soothed my soul and called to my wild enemies to friends to lovers loving heart. feel like i snorted a palm full of crack but ive never done it before so i can only assume this is how it feels lmfao & if it wasnt already

HAHAHHAAH. This book was funtastic. freakin hilarious, laugh out loud giggles galore!!!!

Mia and Max knew each other in high school. She is an actress trying to make it on broadway, and Max has made his money and his way to stardom through a book that went on the bestsellers list sometime after high school. Mia is a Meow lunch cart girl by day, and she is set to deliver to his office everyday. Thinking he set it up himself to humiliate her, she is going to make the best, be over the top and she i

Breaking the Billionaire's Rules is a witty, entertaining, laugh-out-loud funny romantic comedy with characters that I couldn't get enough of. Annika Martin flawlessly blends witty humor, angst, and hot romance to give her readers a great reading experience.

"Eat your heart out, Max Hilton, that's what my stance says. You have your empire but you'll never have me. I'm the queen of delivery cats."

Martin is so brilliant at writing this genre, and she excels at writing humorous, tension-filled scen

I was looking forward to liking this and so ready to laugh and enjoy the cheese and clichés that come with a billionaire story. Sadly, I didn't enjoy it. The MCs were both unlikeable, the female lead was painfully insecure and the male mc played on her insecurities by making fun of her and riling her up.

Reading about her obsession over the hero's success and her low self-esteem and humiliation because of her job was really uncomfortable and utterly irritating. And then bam, they are together co

Aspiring actress Mia Corelli, 28, (Lizzie’s roommate from The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girll) attended performing arts school with pianist prodigy Maxfield Miller, now Max Hilton, 28, whose face graces billboards as the head of a men’s style empire. Ten years after high school, they face off again when Mia’s day job makes her his lunch cart girl.

There’s plenty of potential here and I didn’t have any safety issues, but I just struggled to get invested. I think a lot of that falls on th

I love a good enemies to lovers book and this one did not disappoint. Mia finds herself on the wrong side of what she believes is a set up by her nemesis Max. Max wrote a book on how to get a girl to fall for you. Mia decides to turn the tables on Max and give him a taste of his own medicine. Boy oh boy does everything backfire! This is a low angst, high comedy, fast paced book with great characters and side characters. Great read!

I love breaking the rules!

This is a second chance rom-com, & I love this author’s rom-coms so this one is no exception! I laughed out loud reading the first page, & it didn’t stop there. The first part of the book is in Mia’s POV which I adored, but I was waiting on Max’s POV so when it happened I was so elated! This is also a slow burn, so when Max & Mia finally kiss I rejoiced. The book really took off for me when we find out the what, how & why of what happened in high school

Oh my this book is fabulous!

Oh my this book is fabulous! I just have to say that I love everything about it. The entire premise is the perfect setup for revisiting a rivalry. That said, what really sets this book apart is the way that Annika Martin brings the unexpected to the table. I had a clear way that this was going to go down and it was perfectly enjoyable, but what I got was nothing like I expected and even more wonderful. I cant say more without spoilers so I just recommend that everyone

First of all I don’t like guys who write things like guidelines or tips to get a girl. Sorry that’s just so NOT my type of guy.

Still I wanted to read this and I did but I’m sorry ......this was sooooo boring.
Couldn’t get into this. It seemed like the h has no life other than talking and gossiping about the H.
Is she jealous that he is rich???
Seem so.
Who cares..
Gotta go.

Not my type.
This one was such a let-down. For a heroine who had always seen the hero as her nemesis one who took pleasure in humiliating her ten years back and once again, she sure forgot all her reservations about him: like his dick book, behaviour, super models etc the moment they slept together. We never get to really know the hero beyond his delicious looks and acting all high and mighty. Hell, h/H are barely a couple and they are meeting friends and saying ILU. I just wasn't buying this.

Did not found it either funny or charming, just stupid.

Yes, this is the exact same review as for The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl by the same author.

Deliver lunch to her old high school nemesis while wearing a cat costume? No. Problem. Mia Corelli knows how to deal with entitled men, after all she learned from the best, and she isn't going to let Max Hilton get under her skin... ever. again.

In his 20's he wrote "The Max Hilton Playbook" which is a how-to guide to landing the hottest girl in the room. Since then, Max has turned his literary success into making himself a household name in the men's lifestyle business. Surrounded by g

I do enjoy these comedy romances from Annika Martin. They are all loosely tied together but you certainly don't have to read the other books to enjoy this one.

Here we have a story of Mia and Max, two old high school rivals who end up in each others lives about 10 years later. Mia is an actress just waiting for her big break and Max is the "hit big when he was in his early 20's" man, from a book on how to basically get the girl.

No one makes me laugh quite like Annika Martin, and I devour her romantic comedies with a zeal. Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules had me simultaneously smiling, blushing and giggling from the very beginning until the end, and I loved every minute of it. Mia and Max were bitter enemies throughout high school, and although it’s been ten years, they’ve never let go of their anger or grudges. Breaking the Billionaire's Rules by Annika Martin is the story of Max Hilton and Mia Corelli. Max and Mia were enemies in high school, each playing practical jokes on one another. Fast forward 10 years later, Max has become this world known and successful business man and Mia is a working actress still trying to make big. The first part of the book is told in Mia’s POV which I totally loved, but I was jonsing for Max’s POV so when it finally happened, I was jumping for joy!! Mia and Max' story s ...more

I positively adored the prior billionaire romances I have read by Annika Martin – I’ve enjoyed all my Annika Martin reads – and was eager for another billionaire romance that would leave me howling. Thus, I was eager to dive into Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules.

As I’d hoped, Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules was just as enjoyable as Most Eligible Billionaire and The Billionaire’s Wake-Up Call Girl. I confess, at first, I wasn’t quite sucked into this one in the same way as I was the aforemention

Breaking the Billionaire's Rules by Annika Martin
The cover drew me, but the characters made me want to stick around. Max and Mia are comedic gold. Martin kept me in stiches with her quick wit and wicked sense of humor. She's makes it hard not to love, a character that you so want to hate. The chemistry between Max and Mia is a character all it's own. From passionately volatile to temptation personified, these characters keep you on your toes and always craving more. Glad I took a chance on th

5 FUN SEXY STARS!! What a fun sexy read!! I loved Max and Mia's story, it is a page turner. This story is full of fun banter, sexiness, drama and lots of love. These two get a second chance, they liked each in high school. This is one fun book you will want to 1-Click.

Annika Martin writes very very accomplished CR: it's funny, the focus is on the H&H, and the set-up is always unusual. She does "meet cute" particularly well: the meet cute feeds seemlessly into the plot (e.g. the "wake-up" call girl where the calls become the "getting to know you" mechanism in The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl).

Here, Mia's sandwich delivery girl (in a cat suit) is unwillingly delivering to her one-time crush, billionaire Max. It's a great set-up: she

I can always count on Annika Martin to entertain me with likable, crazy characters and an outrageous story. Breaking the Billionaire's Rules is another wonderful addition to her non-named, “Billionaire” series; standalone romances centered on a loosely connected set of friends. This time around, the main character is Mia, the former roommate of Lizzie from the previous book.

Mia is a struggling actress in Manhattan who delivers food in a cat costume. It’s not ideal, but the part-time job gives h

I was so excited to read this because I love, love, love this author’s writing. And Annika Martin did not disappoint with this story. She does enemies-to-lovers superbly!

In Breaking the Billionaire’s Rules, Ms. Martin gives us tons of laughs with fun characters you can’t help but fall in love with. And also plenty of feels!

This isn’t your typical billionaire romance where the hero is filthy rich and flaunts his wealth and wants/gets the poor, down & out heroine. It’s way more than that. It

I really enjoyed Breaking the billionaires rules it had a great story line the flow was perfect and the characters were likable . This is the fourth story that I've read by Annika Martin and it wont be my last I hope to see more from the secondary characters and Max / Mia . Loved the chemistry that Max and Mia shared they have a intense connection fueled by hatred or so they think . Once those two find what's under the facade they were perfect for one another . I really enjoyed reading The billionaire's wake-up call girl, so when I saw that this book was up for review I immediately went for it. 256 pages later I am in the horrible place to say that I didn't like the book. Most of the book is happening in Max's office where he and Mia are talking about sandwiches. It's also the first (and second) thing that pops in my mind when I think of this book. I don't feel like I know either of them. We had a handful of chapters told from Max's point of view and h ...more

OMG, this book had me giggling on page 2, and teary-eyed and full of “aww” by the end. Mia is just so much fun! And Max is her perfect foil, her counter-point, the ying to her yang. The dance they perform of thrust and parry was so fun to read, and even when the fun was surface, and the feelings came through, they still complimented each other so well.

For a book that clearly had a bad guy at the beginning, and then another potential bad guy mid-way, it was such a relief to see that they were jus

Annika Martin writes the BEST BOOKS!!! I devoured this one and, as has happened with all her Billionaires, sent a dozen squeally messages to her while I was reading lol! Yes, I totally become THAT fangirl for her good stuff. This one had me laughing so hard I woke my husband up, tripped off the elliptical and scared my dogs. But it's the falling in love part (the characters with each other, and me with every damn thing about this story) that sets this apart as a favorite read. I loved it!

This book is everything. I’m seriously still laughing my butt off. Mia is my spirit animal. This was everything I want in an enemies to lovers romance! I couldn’t put it down!

I love fun, sexy books, taking pictures of my cats, 90’s grunge music, saving animals, long baths and See’s chocolate suckers.
