I liked this book even more than the first one. There is so much happening in St. Louis; The depression, a crazy Veiled prophet and a secret society trying to wipe out half the population. Hazel and Stanley's relationship is thrown through some tough situations. I love this book because even with all the bad things happening, the characters never loose their witty spark. The characters are so fantastic. The dialogue gets a little cheesy at times but nothing too major.

I highly recommend this ser

Loved The Winnowing, Book 2 of Stanley & Hazel was just as thrilling as the first. Stanley and Hazel delve deeper into the mystery surrounding the St. Louis residents. Horrible happenings all around. A thrilling ending that screams more. Looking forward to the next installment.

I give The Winnowing 5 stars for its thrilling read.
I would recommend this book to YA Mystery Fans.

Oh WOW. I loved this book a lot more than the first one to be honest. SO good. I thought some of the dialogue got a little cheesy here and there, but the action in this one is ramped way up; the book is quick and snappy with excellent pacing, and all the same characters we loved before back in a situation with higher stakes and more to lose. It was EXCELLENT. Out 2/26/19, preorder yours today!

Honestly thebfirst one was pretty good, but this plot is starting to get stretched and the book read slow to me. Probably wont read the 3rd.
