"Tower" is my first book by this particular author and its one that I really did enjoy immensely.
Its been a while since I read a good Dom/submissive story and this one ticked every one of my boxes if it wasn't for me not quite liking the finale as much as the rest of this book this probably would have been a clean sweep.
No mind this was still an excellent read that kept me on my toes easily capturing and retaining my current attention.

I liked the first book of the series enough to get the second one and almost as soon as I started reading it I regretted it.

You see, what I liked most about the first book was that Ellie had choices. They were not always palatable ones but she could walk away from Ash had she been prepared to face the consequences. Azalea doesn't have that luxury. She's a prisoner throughout 90% of the book - initially she'd imprisoned by her "mother", then Peter kidnaps her and keeps her prisoner in Ash's mans

Retelling of fairy tales as dark romances is fairly popular right now. However, I have to say that this is the first one I have ever read that is a retelling of Rapunzel. But if anyone was going to write it, I'm glad it was Measha Stone! Peter never wanted to be like his uncle and simply take women from their homes as payment or just because, but when he sees Azalea locked up in her own mother's house, he simply acts on instinct and takes her. Peter says he is saving her from a bad situation bec ...more

Azalea is an almost 23-year-old naive young woman who's tired of being locked up in her mother's home. So lately she's been escaping for tiny trips while her mother's out on business trips. One night she heads to a club where she catches the owner's eye. Peter Titon is a dominating asshole and he knows it, doesn't even mind that his reputation is so hard. When he sees Azalea's innocent gaze taking in a scene between him and a sub at his club, he wants her instantly. She doesn't take him up on hi

I think that this is actually a 4.5 and not a strict 4.

Fairy tales are a great framework for authors to work with. We all know the basics of the story, so it gives the authors plenty of room to work around without the reader having to get come to a whole new world, cold. That's what Measha Stone has done here. She's taken Rapunzel, tied her up a little bit, spanked her a time or two, and given us a new story to read.

Azalea is almost 23 and has spent her entire life under her mother's thumb. Th

Tower is the second full novel in the Ever After series, and is a dark retelling of Rapunzel. Azalea is almost twenty three, lives with her overly protective mother, and is dying to experience her own freedom. After meeting Peter in his club, Tower, a chance meeting later entangles their fates, at least until Azalea’s mother returns. Peter takes Azalea back to his home, keeping her safe, keeping her his. Between punishments and rewards, Peter and Azalea are drawn together, feeling more than eith ...more

Tower is a kinky modern retelling of the Rapunzel story, and the sequel to Measha Stone's Beast, which I adored. The pairing is Peter, the cousin from book one, and Azalea and I was so excited because I really liked Peter and wanted to see more of him.

While the first book was consensual, in that Elle offered herself to pay her father's debts and agreed to give Ash everything in return for her father's safety... this book is a lot less consensual so if that bothers you, you may want to p

Looooved this! The Hero, Peter has been in some other Annex related stories & has branched out to having his own Club named Tower. It not in as prestigious an area as Annex but the club itself is large & nice. The heroine, Azalea, 23 & a virgin, still lives at home with her mother virtually a prisoner & guarded.
The story is launched when during one of Azalea's 'escapes' she goes to club Tower to experience a tiny slice of life. She comes to the attention of Peter who ends up 'acq
Love, love, loved this story

Tower is set in the same world as Beast , this is Peter's story. This can easily be read and enjoyed as a stand alone, though I do think it's even better to have read Beast first. This is a tale of captivity, false freedom and love all wrapped up in some steaming hot kink.

The author writes an excellent tale, with characters you believe in and just enough darkness to give the story some bite. Her writing flows well, making the story both easy to read and follow, a

Although I had not read any of the previous Decadence books, there was no need to. In my opinion, this is a totally unique story of attraction, obsession, protection and mystery. Peter is a STRONG, confident, dominant male who knows what he wants and acts accordingly to achieve it. Azalea is an intelligent, inquisitive, logical, overly sheltered young woman who was able to devise a hopefully safe way to satisfy her sexual curiosity. Her plan turned out to not be as safe as she had envisioned. In ...more

This was a light little BDSM / Rapunzel retelling. I missed the first book in this series, but that didn't cause any issues for me with this story. And honestly, I didn't realize this was a fairy-tale retelling until afterwards, but felt those vibes while reading it the entire time. So it definitely fit the bill.

Azalea was kept by her mother locked in her room to 'keep her safe'. But Azalea was a curious little one and wondered out to the brothel-esq Tower of Peter Titon, our hero, in his new cl

Captivity is Her Normal

Another amazing read by my all time favourite author. Ms Stone never disappoints her readers and she certainly hasn’t with this intriguing storyline full of revenge, lies, betrayal, murder, with many dark family histories that keep you tied up in knots awaiting how this magnificent read will end. You never see what’s coming all the way through the book, oh what dark twists in this great plot!

Tower can be enjoyed and read as a stand alone, but believe me, you will enjoy reading the first book, “The Beast”, as well! Measha Stone is a wonderful author, her characters come to life - the reader can easily connect and relate to them and the story is well developed with meaning and substance.
“Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair” Measha Stone puts her own spin on this story and it is amazing and a great read. Azalea has been isolated from others for most of her life, her mother keeps he

I always like it when an author continues characters from one book into another, whether it's an actual series or not. Not sure what Measha Stone has planned for these moderately dark "fairy tales." Here we have a story very loosely based on Rapunzel, and it works really well. Azalea is the maiden in the metaphorical tower and Peter Titon is her prince. Their first encounter is very brief, when she sneaks out of her mother's home to visit his BDSM club. But he is intrigued by her and when he has ...more

Peter was filling in for his cousin Ash while he was on hi honeymoon. Trying to help at the Annex BDSM club their family owned on top of running the Tower, a new BDSM club he just opened separate from the family business. He saw her watching him as he was in a scene. He didn't know what it was that had their eyes locking onto each other. They'd never met.
Azalea knew she had a very limited time to be gone and then she had to sneak back into the house before her mother found out she was missing. S

Tower is deliciously seductive! Peter and his Tower of debauchery will have you drooling within the first chapter. In this naughty retelling of Rapunzel we get the lovely Azalea and the dark delectable Peter. Azalea is a bit naive and is kept on a tight leash from her mom. One night of sneaking out to check out the club Tower starts her on a sexy journey she wasn't ready for. Meeting eyes with Peter while he puts on a show, sets both their paths on a collision course. This is my first time reading Maesha Stone's work and I am hooked. This book is well written and kept me on the edge of seat from the first chapter til the end of the book. I do wish it had contained an Epilogue.

This is the first time I’ve read a book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed the story.

Azalea is a twenty-three year old who has been severely protected by her mother her entire life. So rigidly, she sneaks out to explore a sex club, Tower, late one night when her mother is at a meeting. Here she catches the eye of Peter, the owner, who takes a shine to her instantly.

This is a fast paced book that is easy to read. It’s BDSM lifestyle choice is only one focus. The other key element to the sto

I thoroughly enjoyed my first foray into the world of Measha Stone, well her imagination anyway!

Peter, owner of sex club Tower, quickly spots Azalea, a new young woman sitting at his bar. She, after having snuck out from under the over protectiveness of her mother’s household, was enjoying her exploration of Tower when Peter shows his dominance and she discovers just how much she enjoys it. Peter then discovers Azalea locked in her own house, so decides to lock her in his! 😂

~ A dark & decadent Rapunzel romance ~

In this author’s version of this tale, we meet Azalea Gothel, a young woman who has been wholly sheltered and unknowingly captive in her own home basically her whole life by her mother, who expects complete and immediate obedience from her.

Azalea however finds secret ways to defy her mother, pushing at all her boundaries and exploring on her own, especially the night she sneaks out to the sex club, the Tower, where she runs into Peter Titon. Their paths

Pretty cool

This story was pretty good. It had intriguing action, adult situations and just enough elements from the fairytale to make a connection. I am no prude by any means but the intimate scenes were a bit abrasive because of the way Peter handled them. I had a hard time connecting with Peter. There was something a little off about his character that kept me at arms distance. Perhaps that's what the author was going for and of course there is so much happening you are going to keep reading t

Holy Batman this book was amazing! I loved Peter and Azalea. They were the perfect couple together. Lord Peter what to say about him..... he was a riot because he knew what he wanted and was going after it until he got it. Peter wanted her to submit and so he had to teach her that there are rewards when you are good and punishments when you are bad. But Peter did an excellent job balancing both of th ...more

This book takes place in the same world as Beast. You can read it as a standalone, but you might enjoy it more if you have read Beast. This is a bit of twist to the story of Rapunzel and it is the story of Peter and Azalea.

Azalea was a wonderful character. Kept in a golden cage by her mother, she did escape when possible. She has a bit of a stubborn streak and doesn’t give up hope. She is strong, but with a kind soul

Azalea just wants to live. Peter just wants the haunting beauty to be his. As luck would have it, they are both going to get what they want; with a few twists and turns to keep things interesting.

This is a dark, gritty, beautiful take on the common tale of captivity, evil mothers, and the dangerous world outside your window. I loved the blend of rebellion and doting daughter that made up Azalea's personality. I loved her complexity and innocence going up against Peter and all his jaded glory. Th

Wow, just wow.
A fabulous tale of intrigue, dominance and ridiculously hot chemistry, resulting in a tumultuous climax and HEA. While I've read this author's Black Light work, I've gotten behind on reading her own series - a fact I am rectifying immediately.
Tower is stupendously hot, with Peter as a strict but delicious Dom, and Azalea as his reluctant yet curiously innocent submissive. This isn't a straight Dom meets sub story, this is a story of fate nudging characters into position and letting

This book really had me torn when it comes to reviewing it. I loved the relationship between Peter & Azalea. Sure, he comes from a family that wouldn't be considered 'nice'. But neither does Azalea. Within his own moral code, Peter lives as ethically as he can, which can be difficult with his family. I understand that this is part of a series but I haven't read any of the others & I had no problem following the story. I did get a little lost with the relationships between all of the peop ...more
