Dating is out for omegas like me, at least, I’ve made it my rule. An alpha craves an omega who can give him a family. And I’m just fine with my life. My work as a freelance photographer makes it possible for me to give the kids I take in lots of time, something they need and deserve. Most of them haven’t had an easy life. And Robbie...my current foster child needs my love and care more than any of the others so far. I thought I had it all figured out, but meeting Patrick has thrown me for a loop.
Patrick deserves more than a lesser omega, a broken shell of who I should be. But I can’t help myself. His searing looks plus that signature pumpkin spice scent demand I pay attention. Pursue him. See if there is a chance he could be mine.
Autumn brings with it cooler days, but with Patrick in my life, the nights only grow hotter.
Lorelei M. Hart is the cowriting team of USA Today Bestselling Authors Kate Richards and Ever Coming. Friends for years, the duo decided to come together and write one of their favorite guilty pleasures: Mpreg.
I read the third book of this series first, and it almost kept me from reading any more of them. So glad I decided to give it try anyway because this one was so much better. Still has some holiday (Thanksgiving/Christmas) scenes but the theme was more skewed toward making your own family and it not necessarily being the one you originally wanted or thought you'd end up with.
The little kid was way way way too precocious, but bits of him did remind me of my own son (laying out a reasoned, sensible argument for staying up later one night & for why he needed a new desk). I was all prepared to dismiss the imprisoned/paroled birth-father, but LMH pulled a fast one...I love redeemable characters. I'd totally read Scott's story, if there is one.
Mostly fluffy, with a little angst & drama; I'm even gonna put another one of this series on the TBR.
Sweet romances definitely have a place in my heart, and ‘The Alpha’s Autumn-Kissed Omega’ fits that description to a T. With two lonely main characters who don’t even know what they are missing until they meet each other, a cute kid who needs to have something good happen in his life, and wonderful friends who tease and support the couple, this story is filled with cuteness. There is a little tension too, and for a while I wasn’t too sure that things wouldn’t get ugly, but even that situation is resolved in a unique way that made me smile.
cute little story about an Alpha dentist who meets a cute omega foster parent with an equally cute foster child. What little angst there was fit into the story and didn't seem added just to have a crises for the MC to overcome. Damon was a "broken" omega who thought he'd never get his happily ever after. Patrick was an alpha who was tired of the club scene and figured he'd passed his chance to find his omega. Robbie was a sweet kid who had been passed around from foster home to foster home after being taken from his abusive and neglectful father. I thought Robbie was older than he was depicted in the story, perhaps from being in and out of foster care? That's about my only quibble.
A cute, fluffy romance. An Alpha, Omega, and a child all needing family and finding it. It is also about acceptance and second chances. I really thought it was a sweet short read
Let me state up front that I am overjoyed to see an M/M series based on foster care! The government had been overlooking a huge asset to the program when it refused to certify same-sex couples or even a single gay man or woman to care for and provide stable, loving homes for children in need... based solely on their sexual orientation... grrr
Sad to say, we still have states here in America that prohibit adoption or foster parenting by the LGBT community. Much progress has been made with this issue, but we still have a long way to go! No parent should lose their child when the biological parent has stated that they wish the child to remain with their partner or spouse upon their death. Having your child ripped from your arms for no other reason than your "state legislators" feel it is their right to destroy a family for being different than what they perceive as the norm. Change... we still need MORE change!!!
As for the rest of the story... it was sweet and touched my heart! Damon and Patrick are just your average two guys cruising through life, not even knowing what they are missing until they stumble upon each other... isn't that how life is sometimes? Robbie was a joy to read and seriously... I can't turn away from a book with a cute kid, or two!
I was glad to see that the outcome for Robbie and his biological dad wasn't what I feared it would be and appreciate that these two authors see the need for hope, even in situations that appear at first to be hopeless!
Damon as an omega feels he is a failure. Not able to get pregnant, he fulfills his parental needs by taking in foster kids. Patrick is an alpha whose loneliness is hidden away by busy work as a children's dentist. The two men meet on a beautiful autumn evening and a "click" resonates in their souls. There is some angst to this story, a surprise pregnancy, a precocious foster child a biological dad that can't get it together and love that keeps on growing. A sweet spicy story that is sure to please the reader as it did me. I certainly would recommend this book to other readers.
I had questions about this story. Are they shifters? The alpha and omega terms led me in that direction, but the story never went there. There wasn't enough world description to decide how to categorize things in my head.
And I discovered something about myself while reading this book. Mpreg is not my jam.
Otherwise, this was truly a delightful love story with great characters.
Hal the Dentist assistant tells him he needs to go out more. On his walk home he sees a photographer taking pictures of children jumping out from a pile of leaves. He smells delicious! Can he meet again. Maybe he will be the Omega he wants to settle down with. Lovely Alpha/Omega family story.
A very sweet story with a little angst. Damon is a foster dad and a photographer who lost hope of having a baby of his own due to a car accident. Patrick is a dentist who doesn't think he will find an omega. When Patrick and Damon meet there is an instant connection that leads to a first date and more. A great story with a little heartache and tons of sweetness and fluff.
You can always count on these ladies to give you a sweet romance, with all the feels. Patrick and Damon are just the sweetest couple i have read, I hope to hear more about them.
A great start to a promising series. Patrick and Ramen are sweet characters that deliver a nice dose of sexy as well. Their story entertains and makes me want to read more of the series. Definitely recommend.
One star. Thought this book was not bad, but was flabbergasted and disappointed that the romantic hero was "painted on" Asian. Not given any background or dimensionality or context -- this is not how representation is done.
Looking back I've realized that I've read almost all of Lorelei' s books . They are just that good and this book was no exception . Read if you love HEA .
I felt like this had so much potential. The ending was pretty decent. But then the halfway point started to lack a few details and the ending was just a tad bit sloppy. I kind wished the story was a little longer just to give some details a bit of finesse.
This is a good start to a series. It’s a fast paced story. The characters are defined throughout the story. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.
Lovely quickly paced Alpha/Omega MPreg story about two lonely men, Patrick the Alpha dentist and Damon an omega photographer, who find love, strength and a family made with each other and Damon's foster son. The characters were well done and there is scope for more stories from this town so looking for the next one in the series.
