Stay alive at all costs. No attachments, no looking back, no emotion.

The last thing my father gave me was a key. No explanation, no details, just a key. The last thing he asked of me was to take the key to a set of co-ordinates. But survival in a fallen world filled with Feral isn't easy. The Fangs and the Claws, once upstanding members of society are now slave to the vi

So Debbie I have a question for you ...
are you writing books just for me now?
First you give us a great UF in City of Demons with dragons and a wonderful psycho named Seb.
Then you change it up and write a fantasy with undertones of beauty and the beast with Captive of Darkness
Now you write a post apocalyptic world with vampires and zombie shifters...
and I know you have a sci-fi space adventure in the w

FIVE STARS BECAUSE FUCK YES THIS WAS GOOD.

Gaby if you’re reading this, thank you for the recommendation.

Ugh, where to start. I’ll post my initial thoughts below:

Am I team Tobias? I can’t decide.

(I am certainly TEAM. ASH.)

A LOT of Walking Dead vibes but whatever we will roll with it.

I have to say, in the stories where the MC is at first wary of the men that she may hate now but in just the span of however many pages (depends on the author) they’re gonna be balls deep inside her, always has me la

This one...took me by surprise. Very well done, strongly action orientated, especially considering it's a reverse harem. The well crafted plot really does seem like a hybrid between walking dead, but I would leave out the Vampire Diaries comparison because it doesn't fit (to me) at all. You get vampires of sorts, but it's not anything like Vampire Diaries (thankfully).

A couple of key points:

1. The Let's Dance, I'll Lead fight scene = epic for some reason. Can't get it out of my head.
2. I love As

pretty good post apocalyptic read. Here it's werewolves and vampires who get the virus or whatever and go zombie esque crazy although I think they're not actually zombies. Humans just get the virus and die. And by consequence are not good eating at least for vampires. Vampires are the ones that the heroine falls in with. Thank goodness this is super slow burn. I'm done with the first book and no one has hopped in bed ignoring the precarious state of the world around them. So actual story not jus ...more

Surprisingly excellent

I went into this thinking it would bore me and I probably a bit finish it. I did finish, enjoyed it, and am about to start the next.

The plot is a little Walking Dead goes to Atlanta CDCish, but it works. The characters are interesting and the story moved fast. Eva is pretty badass. Tobias is too boring and will probably die. Noah seems focused, but I am not sure what else to think about him yet. I love Ash and everything single thing about him. Logan is an asshole, but I th

The blurb on this one intrigued me, but as I read it it was a bit confusing. I wasn't sure if the big bad was zombies or some kind of shifter, at 1/3 of the way through you'd think things would be made clear. Eva and Tobias came off as bumbling idots that were lucky. I gave up after 10 chapters, things just weren't interesting enough to keep me reading, this one just wasn't for me.

I don’t usually gravitate towards dystopian books, but this time I’m glad I did.
Even though the reviews were high, I still didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did. Finished it in a few hours. I’m not sure if it was because the story was short, or if it was because it was so good I devoured it at hyper speed.
The better the book, the faster I seem to read them.
Loved the h in this story. It was fast pace and action pact from the very beginning.
#teamAsh all the way.

Proper review to come nearer release date, but this a great start to a new series that feels darker than the author's previous work.

Great concept, kick ass heroine and an intriguing group of guys!

EDIT:

4.5 upon contemplation.

The RH genre can get pretty samey, if I'm honest. But one thing I have really come to love from Debbie Cassidy is that she has a massive diversity in the types of RH she writes.

Firstly we had brilliant Urban Fantastic with the Chronicles of Midnight and Arcana series', then

Nothing not to like here. Fast paced and short. You really can’t go wrong with Debbie Cassidy if you love reverse harem, action, and battle-ready/strong female mc’s. I love Ash and I am looking forward to the next, particularly getting to to know more about these characters.

I'm intrigued and look forward to reading more.

Eva was likable. She is a strong female who knows that she can't give a crap about everything going on around her if she wants to stay alive, but is still willing to sacrifice her life for a few things she believes in. She has had to fight really hard to get to the co-ordinates her dad left her before he died and it shows in the way she thinks about things.

Let's talk about the men in this series. I don't really feel like I KNOW any of them yet, bu

Action packed!

This is a slow burn urban fantasy RH that fills a dystopian void in a sublime way. The supernatural are real, and they’ve been decimated by a virus that has turned them feral.... and their food is the humans who once ruled this world. It’s a fast paced, action packed adventure that sees a slow moving romance wrap around an intriguing mystery - all with the flair of danger and blood Cassidy is known for.

Pros:
- Great world building.
- No info dump, even for a book 1.
- The questions

Wow! I absolutely LOVED this! Eva was an awesome character to get to know and the guys brought back all my favorite Vampire Diary type feels. Debbie’s world building is what made me fall head over heels for her stories and For The Blood is no exception. The story is interesting and well thought out! It pulls you in and keeps its hooks in you! I am so hellaciously in love with Debbie’s Chronicles of Arcana and Chronicles of Midnight series, but this could be a new favorite of mine! This book is an epitome of the phrase “hit the ground running”. It doesn’t easy you into the situation, I loved it. But, I must say, for a moment there I thought that maybe I skipped a chapter or a book 😂. I actually had to go back and check. The good thing is even with that fast pace where I hadto catch it by a tail, I was still not lost.

The MC is pretty cool, the fangy clawy dudes are still somewhat unknown but the story is good albeit a little bit on short side.

Interesting premise. Somewhat cliche but who doesn’t love a good trope clusterfuck? Weak world building, however, as I didn’t really get a mental story board of the land or it’s monsters.

This author's books always read like television series to me - since I love TV this is fantastic! This series takes place following a virus that has created zombie-like creatures, and mutated other, previously known about creatures. Eva is the heroine, and she is definitely the kind of tough gal with a soft spot that I love from these kinds of TV shows. The potential harem members are all mysterious and attractive; I love that one is mute and uses sign language to communicate. I've always liked ...more

I'm not really a fan of the apocalyptic type genre, with zombies and such but with saying that I thought it give it a shot anyways. It wasnt a bad read and I really liked Ash and Eva the others have my interests peaked I will probably check out the next one as well its left me curious but hasnt swayed me on liking end of the world virus type books really so mostly the characters relationships to each other will keep me interested in the next.

As usual, the author delivers an adrenaline-filled reverse harem content. Throw into the mix a steady plot/character development and world building...what more do I really have to ask for?

Personally, I consider two key points that can make an apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic setting be incorporated into a very interesting read: unique cause and character development. I think most of the apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic reads I've had are caused by experimenting-gone-wrong scenarios so a different one or

We have our female lead named Eva, she is on the run with Tobias, her sidekick since childhood in a post apocalyptic world of monsters, The Feral Claws. But those are not the only monsters in their world. Everyday they have to fight for everything. Never knowing if they will survive to see the next day, but at least they have each other. On a mission to reach coordinates her father had drilled into her was the key to survival. Now Eva and Tobias are so very close to their goal, finally finding o ...more

This was a surprisingly good book which kept me hooked till I finished it. Even though I love me some magic and normal PNR RH stories, For the Blood feels like a breath of fresh air with it's post-apocalypse setting and zombiefied versions of shifters and vamps.

The constant moving scenery ensures that we actually get a feel of the post-apocalyptic world and have a story built around it despite the length. I found Eva to be one of those heroines that are just that right balance of bold and vulne

Review of Entire series; not just book 1. Spoilers for entire series.

I have a love hate relationship with this series.
The first book is pretty well handled. Typical Mary Sue female but I can handle that, great looking dudes, post-apocalyptic which I adore, but then as it gets to book 3 and 4 the plot just gets weirder and weirder. It's almost as if that author cant decide on just one genre, she has to be ALL genres, so it ends up with reverse-damsel-in-distress, meets x-men, meets end-of-the-wor

A great blend of genres

This book is a mix of urban fantasy and zombie like apocalypse with werewolves and vampires but are called fang and claw. I noticed this book has no spelling errors or grammatical issues.didn't mix up names of facts and I loved that.normally I ignore it and don't mention it but it was refreshing to read a book that was completely proofread.I automatically read and find errors and I can't help it. This plot was catchy. I hate zombie and apocalyptic stories usually but I gue
