In this book we meet Sam who wishes to go on his school trip despite the bullies and his sickle cell anaemia they bully him for having even though he obviously can't help that.

As the bullies cause them to go off route, they get in to trouble in a river and soon, both Sam and the bullies are in over their heads, will they all survive this trip?

A book about the dangers of peer pressure and bullying going too far this can teach kids how to behave around each other and that it's not right to bully p

I have to be honest, I have a few issues with this book. I understand the need to explain to young people the impact of chronic disease and illness, and to be accepting and understanding, but ultimately I feel this book delivers the wrong message.

The protagonist, Sam, risks his life in order to save his bullies, who then apologise and befriend him. Is it right to send this message to children with chronic illness, that you should a) have to prove yourself to others, and b) proving yourself shoul
