3.5 stars from me
I throughly enjoyed this story however I really didn’t like how it just ended... story going well, heating up nice, getting quite gritty and then bam it ended. It wouldn’t usually bother me but there were too many loose ends for me, ones that I would have preferred to have been tied up before the book ended.

Loving meatball

Taking a scared pit bull named Meatball and showing him love also shows love from her neighbor. Meat likes Tuff and he doesn’t like men so Tuff is special. They all show love in different ways.

It's been ages since I last read a Samantha A. Cole series, but having just read Blood Bound and being a big fan of the Trident Series, I thought I'd check out the first Blackhawk Security book, and I'm glad I did; And I have to say I really liked how different they are in the Trident books, even though the characters are from a similar military background and are now working in a similar environment.

And Tuff Enough was, so wonderfully easy to read with just enough heat in the romance, and

I love all Samantha A Cole’s books and this one was just as good. Tuff and Concetta (Chet) are the perfect couple that is if and when they can get it together. The story is about Blackwark Security who have helped Trident Security before so to read about these sexy men is great. I absolutely loved Meat the dog is fantastic.

This was my first read from this author and I did enjoy it. There does seem to be a lot of people from two different network working together so it was kind of hard to keep up on all the people and who they worked for. All in all a good read and I would read more from this author.

Samantha Cole has fast become one of my favorite authors. Her stories are intriguing with enough suspense to keep you turning the pages and sexy enough that you need a fan or ice water when you come to the sex scenes. Chet and Tuff are neighbors. As much as Tuff wants to, he tries to avoid Chet but the woman just gets under his skin. She trains dogs for service work and has a huge dog, Meat, that she is training. Meat may be a dog, but he is very important in this story. I love the slow buildup ...more

This is the story of Jason ( Tuff ) and Concetta (Chet), Jason is an private security operative who works for Chase ( if you’ve ever read any of Sams books you can’t help but know who Chase Dixon is ) and Concetta is a humane officer . These two have sworn off love and relationships due to their own set of reasons but these neighbors just can’t resist the spark . Throw in a dog fighting ring and a danger to Chet and you have a beautiful but suspenseful romance .... again this is just one of eigh ...more

Tuff & Chet

Samantha Cole’s Trident Universe has multiple series that all interconnect with each other. It’s an outstanding BDSM/Military/Special Ops/Security/Action/Suspense/Romance Series. (This book is the first Samantha Cole’s spin off series Blackhawk Security, it does not have a BDSM theme.)
Definitely follow the authors reading order to get the most out of this series.

This is the first story that I've read from this author. I'm not really into bdsm so that is why I haven't read her other books. This was sexy but not what I would consider bdsm. Both mc's agree to friends with benefits. Hero slept around in the past, doesn't want to commit because of his job. h is divorced. Hero had a work incident and ignored h for a bit but all was forgiven. They also realize what they have is so much more, glad the hero finally committed. This was almost 3/4 into the story. ...more

I love a romance with a dog!

Tuff is the hero. Meat is the dog and Chet is the heroine. Keeping the names straight was a little challenge me, but the story is captivating and we'll developed. I would like to read more about these characters.

High marks

Love this first book in this series. It has connections to the Trident series but can be read as a stand alone. Its action packed and sexy. Our main couple is great and the lovable dog has great funny moments as well. Loved the crossover characters and the start of a new mystery.

I liked it. This story starts off with Tuff (Jason Tanner, first introduced in Salvaging His Soul) returning from the mission in the Caribbean with his boss (Chase Dixon, who is the lead in the 2nd Blackhawk Security book Blood Bound) and settling back into his normal routine (work a lot, don't make personal connections with people in case you die). We don't get the first-ever meeting between Tuff and his neighbor Chet (Conchetta Suarez) but we do get the first meeting between Tuff and Meat and ...more

Light and entertaining

This is clearly part of a long running series of books. This particular book was basically a romance with some suspense tossed in. I read it because there was a dog involved. The standalone romance part of the book was kind of sweet, however if you object to frequent very graphic sex scenes you will want to skip this book and probably the entire series. I don’t find the sex offensive but did find it rather coarse and repetitive. The main couple were nice people and the dog

First off, this is a new author to me and I didn't realize that this is a spin off series to a previous one called Trident Security. Now, this is not a bad thing at all but it sent me into research mode to find this previous series and add them all on my TBR list. Don't get me wrong, this is a new series of its own and you do not need to go back to the previous one but the characters do cross over and you just get a top layer view. This book is about Jason 'Tuff' Tanner and Concetta "Chet" Suare ...more

Holy smokes this was an awesome read about Jason aka Tuff, who works for a private security firm and Concetta aka Chet, his beautiful next door neighbour. These two meet and try to stay away from the intimate stuff, Jason who doesn’t do relationships and even though he wants to be with Chet, when he breaks it off or moves on, it would make it awkward considering they are neighbours. Chet has the same thoughts but not because she doesn’t do relationships, she does, but she is also worried about t ...more

This is the story of Tuff, Chett, and Meat. Now if that collection of names doesn’t spark your curiosity, I’m not sure what will. Tuff and Chett are neighbors and they’ve fallen victim to my favorite set-up in the world: they don’t want to get involved with each other. Now, you and I both know Fate loves and challenge. Tuff thinks he’s a bad relationship bet. Blackhawk Security sends him out of town more often than he’s home and nearly every assignment he’s given is something he can’t talk about ...more

Tuff and Chet are next door neighbors who are instantly drawn to each other. Both knowing that hooking up with your neighbor is a dumb idea especially if it goes south. They try and be friends at first but eventually the chemistry wins out.

I really liked these two characters. They were both independent and loved their job. They both were smart about remaining friends but sometimes the heart doesn't listen to the head. I liked reading about all the times that the two spent together just getting t

I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review. It is the first book in Samantha A. Cole's Blackhawk security series, but it is a spin off of some of her other series. There are a bunch of characters that filter through which you realize they have a story, but it doesn't detract from the current one if you haven't read those books.

An exciting introduction to what I hope will be a new series!

I have read all Samantha A Cole's work and this book is about a Black Hawk Security operative. Black Hawk Security often work with Trident Security and I'm delighted that Black Hawk have got a book! The hero, Jason "Tuff" Tanned is an alpha male with a good heart. He is attracted to his new neighbour but reluctant to get involved because of his career. Add in a rescued dog called Meat who has been rescued by The heroine, Chet, and we h

Exciting, emotional and entertaining

Tuff Enough by Samatha A. Cole is an awesome first book in her newest series. In her true fashion, Samantha has created yet another wonderful story featuring these alphas we adore and love to read about. Jason "Tuff" Tanner is no exception, she took her inspiration and ran with it creating an awesome storyline with fantastic characters, especially Meat!

Brought together by a dog....Jason "Tuff" Tanner and Concetta "Chet" Suarez are duplex neighbors who are both of the opinion that despite the chemistry they feel, it's better that they are just remain friends in case things didn't work out between them. Besides, neither is looking for any kind of relationship. She's been burned and his job is too dangerous and unpredictable. Too bad they didn't tell their libidos that. Something more than friendship is helped along by a rescue pitbull named Meat ...more

Simply Adored “Tuff’s” story. This is one of my favorite series with character that you can’t help but love and root for. Ms. Cole has such a flare for words and storylines that are sexy yet gripping, that she quickly became one of my favorite authors and I always watch for her new releases.

Tuff is a lovem and leavem kind of guy, his lifestyle and job doesn’t leave room for strings and relationships. Especially with Chet, the sexy woman who moved into the other half of his duplex. But when her

Tuff Enough is a fantastic romantic suspense by Samantha A. Cole. Ms. Cole has provided readers with a story that will grab their attention and keep them glued to this book from start to finish. That doesn’t exactly stop them though although they both do try to resist. Chet has rescued a pitbull, Meat, and he ends up being a large part of their relationship and adventure. His kind of trouble....

Tuff doesn't do relationships and isn't looking for true love. His line of work makes having those things difficult but a FWB works just fine. Although, having that with your neighbor may lead to trouble. Luckily Chet is Tuff's kind of trouble. I was hooked on this book from the start. I loved all the characters....human and canine. The story-line flowed well and sets up possible plot lines for future stories in this spin-off series. My only issue is the fact that I now ne
