Ryan Baxter is going through a lot while being a single father to his five-year-old daughter, Kendall. His wife passed away a year ago and is trying to pick up the pieces of his life. Raven has a lot to deal with from all different directions. Will she be able to keep everything under control, or will it all come crashing down around her?
Sheena Binkley first discovered her love for storytelling when writing her first story for a class project at the tender age of nine. Since then, she has composed several short stories and numerous tales that are not only engaging, but simply entertaining. She is also a freelance writer, penning articles on various topics including education and entertainment. Besides writing, she loves reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. She lives in Houston (where the weather is always unpredictable) with her husband and son.
Raven and Ryan's story was cute, but I felt it was a little short and not enough time was spent on the couple falling in love. Most of the story was about Raven's life and I felt as if I didn't get to really know who Ryan was. Sure he was a father and we learned about his deceased wife dying, but who was he as a man? I still don't know.
I enjoyed the overall storyline. Ryan is a teacher and spends her downtime riding motorcycles as a way to bond with her deceased brother. He taught her how to ride much to the chagrin of her parents. He even died as a result of a motorcycle accident.
Ryan was a widow, whose wife also met her demise on a bike. I thought for a minute his wife would have been in the same accident that killed Raven's brother, but that was quickly debunked.
As a result of his wife's death, Ryan hates motorcycles, which causes a slight problem seeming as how he is so attracted to Raven. Not only does Raven love the open road on her bike, she just became the secretary of the new Lady Guardians chapter!
Things escalate from there and the lovers must figure a way to compromise or miss out on a good thing. It ends on a happily for now.

"Lady Guardians: The Ultimate Risk" by Sheena Binkley
My Thoughts....
I will say that is was one risk that only Raven was willing to take. Would this risk be worth it for Raven? Who would have thought that Raven would meet someone like Ryan that would disapprove of her being a motorcycle rider and a Lady Guardian? What was up with that? Why was Raven so sure of what she wanted and wouldn't let anyone stop her...not even her parents!
Well, you will have to pick up this good read to get all of these questions answered and so much more from this interesting read. In the end one will be able to see why Raven's brother Michael had been very important in her life and that "even in the afterlife, he was the glue that kept everything together, from her riding, to her meeting Stephanie and to meeting Ryan." This was indeed a good read that I enjoyed!
Raven and Ryan both had obstacles to overcome in order to understand and except the love that was developing between them. Ms. Brinkley has written another good book.
Again the Lady Guardian story has been a treat and if you love motorcycles and true romance the Ultimate Risk will definitely have you in your feelings. The authors of this series continue to deliver and I am a true fan in awe.
Could a kindergarten teacher find her soulmate in an executive? He v want too keen on her riding neither joining a GC due to his past! She could resist riding because it kept the memories of her brother alive! Yep, this read kept me glued to the book!💜🦋
