Justin Tracy, the perennial life of the party, is used to being teased by his friends about his success with the ladies. Not that he’ll ever get serious with one. Why should he? His life is absolutely perfect the way it is. But at his brother’s bachelor party, a drunken bet about his womanizing skill gets a little out of control. Before he knows it, his friends have invited his new tenant – a woman he’s never even met – to go to his brother’s wedding with him.

Single mom Maddy Trainor has just moved back to Chicago, ready to reclaim her life and conquer the city. Maddy’s determined to get her new business off the ground and build a happy home for her son, Teddy. She didn’t expect a gorgeous landlord, but ogling Justin Tracy is definitely a bonus to her new apartment.

Justin intends to apologize to Maddy for the out-of-the-blue wedding invitation and get gone, but his new neighbor turns out to be funny, whip-smart, and sexy as hell. Why not take her to the wedding for real? Just as friends, of course. To Maddy, the wedding – one night of champagne and dancing with a self-admitted Peter Pan – sounds like amazing no-strings fun. But the sparks that blaze between the two of them can’t be contained to one night. And two people who think they have life figured out are about to realize they know nothing about love …

There are only three things Michelle Dayton loves more than sexy and suspenseful novels: her family, the city of Chicago, and Mr. Darcy. Michelle dreams of a year of world travel – as long as the trip would include weeks and weeks of beach time. As a bourbon lover and unabashed wine snob, Michelle thinks heaven is discussing a good book over an adult beverage.

Quick Fall is the second book in the Tracy Brothers series, and while it's a standalone, I really recommend everyone reading Fast Ride (Book 1), because this book jumps in with Jen & Garrett (Book 1) getting ready to tie the knot, & man whore Justin Tracey needs a date, though he doesn't necessarily see it that way. He makes no apologies for the way he lives his life with women, but at his brothers' bachelor party a bet is put on the table, then his friends go behind his back to get him a date with single mom, Maddie Trainor. Justin goes to break the date, but he never saw her coming, & decides to go ahead with the date. Maddie on the other hand, is the queen of bad decisions, so she's trying to make a better life for her son but she never sees Justin coming either just thought it would be a fun night out. What follows is a good time with plenty of heat, though there is a side of angst as well. Justin really drove me crazy, because I thought he made bad decisions himself, while I was #TEAMMADDIE all the way. On the flip side, the secondaries added in a whole lot of laughs with some of their antics, though when push came to shove, they could be the voice of reason as well. There is a twist or two, since Justin has some past baggage, allowing me to drop my favorite f-bombs. All in all, Michelle Dayton has penned another great story with all kind of layers which had me turning the pages quickly! I CANNOT WAIT for more, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

What began as a joke is becoming all too real. Playboy Justin Tracy is the life of the party. He lives it up every chance he gets, until single mom Maddy Trainor walks into his building and changes his world forever. Maddy is the queen of bad decisions. She's hoping a change of scenery and a new life plan will be the push she needs to make a better life for her son. Justin is the worst decision she could ever make. Why is her heart telling her this bad boy could be Mr. Right? Quick Fall presents a laid back kind of fun. Dayton presents the right kind of naughty to leave you feeling oh so nice.

Oh, you cannot even believe how much I loved this book! Yes, it does have some very small issues I am not quite comfortable, from a reviewer point of view, but now several days after finishing it, I cannot remember what I did not like. I only remember the feelings, I only remember the good stuff. So that makes it very close to a five star read.

So what do we have here that makes this book so good? We have Maddy Trainor, a single mom to a very smart kid I might add, who has put herself on hold even form a young age to give her son the proper attention and education. Back to Chicago, she struggles to start her own business and reacquaint herself with a city that was once her scene. Then we have Justin Tracy – one of the most eligible bachelors, always with a different girl, smart, charming and very attractive – who leases his downstairs apartment to the brave woman forced to raise his child alone. A bet brings them together, as friends and neighbors and through that bet, he invites her to his brother’s wedding, just to help out her starting business.

The premises are interesting and some may argue that they are even common. But they have a relationship based on honesty in all aspects but one – love and its consequences. Because they both have been burnt once and don’t plan on getting it again. Still, what wrong would it do to have a no strings attached relationship, as long as both know how things are? I am not sure who has conquered who’s heart, but definitely little Teddy, Maddy’s son, plays such an important role.

The writing is very easy and beautiful. There are simple words what are so full of emotions! I read it in one night and I was so sorry it ended! The attention to family development is beautiful and I really appreciate that the author has not lost side of things and Maddy remains a devoted mother thought the book. There is a small mention about diversity in relationships, but that’s not the point of the story.

Even if towards the end I felt that the things kind of dragged and the conclusion was too sudden, this book made me feel so much and gave me that cozy feeling any romance book should bring to its reader. I loved it so so much. Well, to be completely honest until the end, I was expecting it! I mean, come on, “Fast Ride” (review here) was amazing as well. I had my expectations met! 4.5 stars and my “thank yous” to the author for bringing us such a great story!

Let me start by saying that I LOVED this story! Quick Fall is a fun and fast-paced romance between a hard partying playboy and a sexy single mom. Justin and Maddy shouldn’t work but holy hell DO they work!
Okay now, backing up. I fell in love with Maddy the moment she totally judged Justin for the contents of a text he didn’t send but it came from his phone. It was such a spot-on, real thing to say that I knew right then and there that if she were real, we’d totally be friends. Not to mention the fact that she was smart, sassy and she had that single mother go-getterism that just made her badass.
Justin is one of those guys that you just can’t help but liking. He’s funny and insightful and way more caring than even he realizes. It doesn’t matter that you were halfway in love with him and slept with him before he said “I’m not a long term bet,” you still have nothing but good things to say about him afterwards. That’s Justin and it made him not only the perfect hero for this book, but the perfect guy for Maddy.
Together, they were fun. They were smokin’ hot and they were so sweet that I found myself saying, “Awww,” and placing a hand to my chest.
Quick Fall offers up the whole gamut of good storytelling from the tortured pasts of the hero and heroine, their inability to see exactly what was happening right in front of them and of course, a fear-based misunderstanding. If that’s all you think this story is, then its your loss because I devoured this book in just a day and a half and that’s only because there were projects I absolutely could not ignore…but Michelle if you read this, it was totally worth ignoring! 😉
There was no real villain in this story which made it more lighthearted but not lightweight. I guess you can call Colby a villain but he was more of a jealous hater who needs to up his game so he can get girls on his own. Okay, rant over.
Get. This. Book.

4 It’s Love Stars!!!

This is my first book by Ms. Dayton and what a great story this book tells. Both Maddy and Justin have very skewed opinions on love and the pain it can cause. And while Justin lives his life is completely different than Maddy. He’s a carefree, sexy and single man living in Chicago and doing all the things that let him keep at a distance any woman he’s attracted to. Maddy on the other hand lives her life for her life for her sweet little boy Teddy.

But when these two meet, because she’s now his downstairs neighbor and tenant, there’s a connection that can’t be denied. And leave it to Teddy to wrap Justin around his little finger. This little boy absolutely captured my heart too!! The dynamic between our H/h is palpable. They have an attraction but both have their idea of what they want out of life and being hurt and/or hurting someone isn’t on the menu.

However, there’s only so much they can do to deny their overwhelming chemistry and boy they are burning it up when they come together! But, it’s not going to be easy to get where they both want to be that’s for sure!!

I loved everything about this book. The character development is awesome. There’s secondary characters that I’m hoping will someday get their own books. There’s some angst, but overwhelmingly there’s love and let’s face that’s all we really need in our lives because everything is secondary to that emotion. Ms. Dayton has written a book that captured me and held onto me until I turned the very last page!

I couldn't get into the book and if it wasn't for the blog tour, I probably would have given it up for the immediate future. I was not a big fan of Justin and since I also didn't like his brother in book one, I might have to say that this family doesn't work for me. I would have loved a better-explained background story for his character because the way we got this one made it feel rushed and like it was just something that would justify Justin's hesitance for a relationship. I knew he wasn't the hero for me the moment I jumped to the conclusion that he was about to have a three-way early in the book. Maddy was a better and more likable character. I wish we had seen her spend more time with her son, but that wasn't a big factor in my rating. I liked her and she saved the book somewhat. Overall the book gets a 3-star rating from me because it didn't blow my mind and I was very close to giving it up. To be fair it didn't have any triggers and it was a tame book without much drama.

After a prank text, ladies' man Justin realises that his new tenant and her son fill all the empty spaces in his life. Will he be brave enough to admit that they fill his heart, too?

Maddy hasn't had the best experiences with love and men. When her landlord turns out to be not just funny and sexy, but also kind and an amazing role model to her son, she questions her good luck.

I enjoyed this book. The depth of emotion in it adds to and complements the lighter, steamier moments in the book. I must say that I have enjoyed meeting the Tracy brothers. Their close relationship is one I admired since book 1, and the way that they take care of their ladies is downright swoon-worthy. I'm actually hoping another sibling appears to carry on this series. Michelle Dayton really got me caught up on these brothers!

I recommend Quick Fall. It's a quick read, but full of emotion, passion and humor - three must-haves for a great romance.

I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book.

This was the first book of Michelle's that I read. It was a fast paced story. I liked the chemistry between Justin and Maddy. The reason why I gave this book a 3 star rating was because it didn't do much for me. The writing was okay. It was a book that didn't really hold my attention. I found myself putting my kindle down and not rushing to pick it back up. I guess there just wasn't a wow factor for me while reading. I feel like Quick Fall is a good palate cleanser. A quick read that you don't have to put too much thought into, just a story you can read and enjoy when you have some off time.

I must say, that after being in a bit of a book funk prior to starting Quick Fall I wasn’t sure if I would be able to get into this one at all. But, luckily I was quickly brought into the story and I really ended up enjoying it.

You can’t help but love Justin and Maddy, even if you think they wouldn’t or shouldn’t work, they do. Both are outspoken at times and it was just one of the things I liked about them, but they also had a softer side to them as well and combine the two and you have characters with depth and that are interesting. There was a well balance of chemistry, emotions, drama and romance.

Quick Fall was an enjoyable and fun read, one that I think most will enjoy.

I don’t know what it is about Michelle Dayton’s writing, but each one of her books just sucks me in and refuses to let go! I was glued to this book and ended up finishing it in less than a day. I loved the main characters, I think maybe because they are very relatable. Their chemistry was really nice and I enjoyed reading about their struggles to accept their feelings for one another. I loved getting a glimpse into how Jen and Garrett are doing, who are the main characters in the first Tracy brothers book.
It was a very quick and easy read, I can’t wait to see what Michelle has next!

I couldn't wait for this installment of The Tracy Brothers, Book 2. I had really enjoyed Garrett and Jen's introduction and evolution in Fast Ride and was excited to get to know more about Garrett's brother, Justin. Once the independent and whip-smart Maddy was introduced, the sparks began to fly and their chemistry was, as described in the book- Wicked! This was an addictive page turner that I couldn't put down. The author, Michelle Dayton, has a gift of grabbing you and not letting you go!

This was a great quick read and I loved it. Justin and Maddy were so sweet together. I loved how both of them weren't afraid to speak their minds, but were so vulnerable when it came to their try feelings. At one point I was ready to jump in the book and smack them both upside the head. This was truly a great book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

4.5 stars.
Simple, sweet and steamy, with a touch of angst. I can find little fault with this author's style. She writes fabulous characters with strong chemistry and makes you believe their connection. Perfect for when you want a light, fun read with a bit of heat to it.
Definitely recommend.
