This is no longer that time.

It is my duty to obey, to give my body and blood to a vampire master until he no longer has use for me.

There is no escape.

Chastely Bitten is hot, unique and super entertaining! I was glued to each page and could not put it down. I got lost in this story and didn’t want to come back to reality when it was over. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

The world has changed. Vampires and lycans have ascended. They rule and humans are food.

The Blood Alliance has been formed. It’s a global council of equal parts lycan and vampire. Everything is distributed evenly between them including territory and blood slaves.
Humans are property and carry no legal rights. They are tagged and sorted based on merit, intelligence, bloodline, ability, and beauty.

Juliet is a twenty-two year old blood virgin. The book opens with her stood naked on a podium while

Intriguing......I believe that is the best way to describe book 1 in the Blood Alliance. Foss meticulously prepared the ground work for the world build. The right information was given at the right time. Great appreciation for Foss not being redundant in her explanation of this world. You do have to give this book your complete attention. I would not suggest this as a multi-tasked read. The intricacies of the book do not need to be overlooked.

Deeply intelligent.....Darius is beyond clever and de

This one was just okay. This is the first book in a post-apocalyptic series where vampires rule earth and humans are slaves and servants. Juliet is a blood virgin and is sold to Darius. He buys her for a certain reason and spends the book trying to break her of her training of being subservient as a slave and they start falling for each other. It was fine, but not anything enticing or amazing. Juliet went back on trusting Darius a bit too much when it came to when he had to pretend to use her in ...more

I’m not sure why I picked up Chastely Bitten, maybe it was on one of those lists on Amazon? Anyhow, I’m a very picky PNR reader. I tend to like the traditionally published PNR books, but I do read some independently published ones every now and then, I think it’s because they usually have more sex in them.

I would classify this book as smut or erotica. It has so much of it, it needs to be lumped into that category. I have nothing against it, in fact, it was what I was looking
3.5 let the games begin Stars.

I really have no fucking clue how to rate this book cause this isn't your typical vampire read.

After humans lost the war and failed miserably to be top dog the Blood Alliance was born. Where humans are no more than cattle where they are divided into factions. Where vampires and the lycans rule with terror, manipulation, indoctrination where your choices are being a slave or death. Where blood virgins are coveted, and blood day is a memorable day for all.

I honestly didn't know what I was getting myself into with this story. But after I saw quite a few romance booktubers rave about this one here, and I don't see too many dark themed romances that delve into the paranormal genre and man this world was so addicting and the writing is deeply sensual and even though there was some slower pace moments, I couldn't seem to get enough of what is going on h

What a refreshing take on vampires!

Chastely Bitten has all the conceptions of a typical vampire story in the fact that they drink blood. But how they acquire it, the fact that vampires aren’t a myth or legend but the real deal and the fact humans who once ruled the world are now bred like cattle for sustenance and slaughter, is a very good story indeed.

Juliet has always known one thing. That she was bred for purpose and that the only thing you can believe in is that humans, herself included wer

So I read this one as A-the whole idea behind this series really intrigued my sense of curiosity: its just such an imaginative endeavour and B-I signed up to Arc read the next in this series and it's always better to start at the beginning and in this case no hardship at all as this was just fantastic reading.
This was a dark dystopian read: A world in the future where Vampires and Lycanthropes are now top of the food chain and humans are cattle: without any rights whatsoever and solely reduced t

Flipping heck..... Foss does it again.

Another absolute cracker of a read from start to finish. This author's imagination continues to enthrall and excite. In Chastely Bitten, we have a new world to discover, one where vampires rule and humans are bred for blood—and sex.

Enter Juliet, a human bred for the sole purpose of pleasing her master, in any way he chooses. Luckily for Juliet, she is purchased at an auction by Darius, an enigmatic vampire who has a different path he wants Juliet to walk—one

This book was shallow and repetitive.

The main female character was poorly created. The supposedly mindset didn’t fit with her behaviour for me. She had emotional outbursts and inner tantrums although she was supposed to be conditioned otherwise. It would have been tolerable if it hadn’t been the same old struggle over and over again. The little development there was, was laughable at best. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. We went through the same emotional struggles over and over again. Like a brok

Gah! I'm all over the place with this one, pissed off, emotional, a tad put off and a whole lot turned on. LOL This was definitely a love/hate situation with these characters.

I'm no virgin to Lexi's words but.........holy hell!........I wasn't prepared for the all out hotness level of this book. She definitely let her inner dark and dirty girl out to play. I guess I should have expected no less with Vamps and Lycons ruling the world and humans are used as mere playthings and a source of sustena

This story is the first in a new series for Lexi. This one we have the vampires and lycanthropy ruling the earth and humans are basically slaves to either fraction, bread to be their toys. Juliet is a blood virgin and has been trained since birth not only to be submissive but also to believe all the propaganda that they fed her. When she is introduced to a world much different then she was made to believe she finally gets a choice.
Like all of Lexis stories, she has built such an incred

I loved this book!

A very interesting take on the world where humans are not the superpower.

Juliet was created for her master Darius, and I appreciated the way she rose into herself and became a powerful heroine.

Lexi C Foss painted such a vivid picture of this world with her words and I cannot wait to read the next one, and many more!

Loved this! Lexi C. Foss takes you on a dark adventure through a terrifying and violent vampire world where humans are no more than food and slaves. Following Juliet as she struggles to meet and defeat Darius's challenges that are somehow all mixed in with his aspirations for the future of humans and vampires, and going along for the ride with Darius's own emotional challenges, will keep you glued to the pages and getting sucked into a beautifully layered and complex world! I can't wait for the ...more

It's been a while since I went back to my paranormal roots, so when I saw Chastely Bitten pop up on Kindle Unlimited, I decided to give it a go. And while the book wasn't bad, it wasn't great either. I am left feeling very meh about the whole thing and I don't think I will be picking up book 2.

I liked the whole concept of the book, vampires and lycans rule the world and humans are property. But the problem here seems to be a lack of information. As vampire and lycan lore changes from story to st

I tried

I tried to like this I really did. I was intrigued by the world the author created, but it wasn’t enough to keep my interest. The most frustrating part of this story was that the author spent so much time setting up the same situations and the accompanying emotions/fallout from those situations again and again. How many times would there be a dinner? How many times would she be devastated by what was happening even though this allegedly was all she was taught to expect and been prepared

If you’re looking for a combination Victorian bodice ripper, smoldering vampire, and apocalyptic nightmare read, then look no further than Chastely Bitten.

For 22 years, Juliet has been raised to know her only purpose is to serve as a blood virgin to a high ranking vampire one day. The world, once ruled by humans, is now run by vampires and lycans, and both use humans as their pets and their prey. With no rights whatsoever, humans must serve their role, according to the laws set down by the Blood

OH. JUST. WOW. Your immense imagination on PNR one of my favourite genre is phenomenal, what i love about you Lexi is that this is a unique refreshing take on Vampire and Lycan Lore which you make so interesting and different that it held me captive from beginning to end.

This deliciously dark story is about Vampire's and Lycan's that rule supreme over all humans, who are nothing but are just used for food and sex, this different take is a refreshing change from any other books i have read, which ke

Couldn't put it down--that's a huge nod to the quality of the writing, with each word earning its place on the page (that, together with the story and pacing, merited Chastely Bitten a 5* rating), and Book 2 (3, 4, infinitum) has been added to my auto-buy list.

So why the 4* rating? My blood pressure at Juliet's treatment (yes, I get that it was part of the brilliant world building) hit the ceiling too many times. For me, Juliet's acceptance of, and submission to, what was expected of her
I’m amazed how this author can take the idea of vampires and spin it and develop it into a whole new world. This PNR is more than just romance, lust, and kinky. Although it has that and it’s fantastic. It’s got its own politics, it’s own farming system, it’s own god or should I say goddess. This story is dark, intelligent, sexy, and so epic!

Not For Me

The dubious consent and complete submission of the heroine, Juliet, just ruins this book for me. Also, the hero, Darius, goes from simply using Juliet as a tool in his political schemes to being head over heels in love with her. It just doesn’t ring true.

My suggestion is to skip this book.

This was definitely something different to read. I’ve never read about a world where there were humans called “blood virgins” where their life is basically the equivalent of a slaves. They are trained to please and feed vampires. That’s literally it. Vampires drink their blood and have sex with them whenever they want.

Our main character Juliet is a blood virgin and her sire who bought her from an auction is Darius and he’s a old, powerful vampire that plans to use her to take out his

Pleasant surprise 😎

At the end of this book the author notes that she has given her dark side free roam for this series and she's not joking. I don't know what I expected from this book but it is not what I got. There was times I thought oh this is a bit unsettling but for the life of me I couldn't stop reading, i was hooked. I loved poor sweet juliet what a strong character she is, i really admired her strength and determination. Darius was an enigma to begin with but as their relationship progr

I have grown out of vampire books but there are authors who surprises me and I find that oh well I do like vampire books.

This world building is so interesting and different. Dystopian and pretty dark.

World is ruled by vampires and lycans, humans are just cattle. They have no rights and single wrong move, they died on a spot.

Juliet is brainwashed from birth to be blood virgin. Her blood is special. She has no idea that her whole life is about to change. I loved how Juliet didn't change overnight,

Wow, a fantastic, intriguing, gripping start to a new pnr series. Lexi C Foss has dived deep into the dark side with this new take on vampires, Lycans and the humans they need to survive...... I loved it!!

I felt for Juliet, as a blood virgin her whole life has been spent training to be the perfect sex slave, a submissive toy, food for rich, high class vampires.  When Darius buys her at auction she expects pain, violence and probable death, but so long as she pleases her owner she has done her jo

A supernatural book where vampires and lycans rule supreme and where humans are nothing more than a food group? Now, that sounds different. And oh boy, different doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Chastely Bitten is the first instalment in the Blood Alliance series, and it proved to be a deliciously dark and sexy read: a strong male vampire; a human slave; a sadistic dystopian society; a bucket full of conflict.

There is biting. There is blood. There is no humour. There is darkness. There is intensit

Imagine a world, where Lycans and Vampires rule and humans are just a source of food! The humans are sent to “camps” depending on their bloodlines and ancestry. Juliet’s ancestry means that she is trained as a blood virgin to be sold to a master, to have her any way he wants her, even to discard her if he so wishes! But she gets Darius..... Darius is a very old vampire and he buys himself a blood virgin, Juliet. But everything she thought she once knew, Darius blows out of the water by changing ...more
