The empire remains in chaos following the last attack. Fes searches to connect to the newly raised dragon, wanting to find him before the Damhur attack again, but when he finally returns to the capital, he’s too late.
War has returned to the empire in full.
With dragons controlled by the Damhur attacking along the coast, the fire mages and Dragon Guard outmanned, Fes urgently needs to find a way to save the dragons—and help the empire. The search brings him to a foreign land where he uncovers ancient secrets in his quest. He fears delay; the power of the empire fire mages is limited and already failing.
Somehow he needs to find a way to victory, but how can one man stop a war that has raged for centuries?
I chose 4 stars for this book because though I love the concept and creativity, I can't give it 5 stars because of grammatical errors, repetitive paragraphs and rhetorical questions. While our hero Fezarn has grown immensely, I wish we could see the same for the other characters. So many loose ends right now; carter, alison, indra, etc. And something's been bugging me, why don't the dragons have names?? They keep saying Fez is named for a great dragon yet none of these dragons seem to have names.
One to go. Majestic, insightful, a saga for the likes of Tolkien unfolds page after WTF just happened. It makes you go back a couple of pages to re-read WHAT JUST HAPPENED only to get thrown another cog in the wheel.. Fast acting. Non stop. You will look down to see 94% of the book gone and then you start cussing , OH HELL NO. HE IS NOT GOING TO END IT LIKE THIS. Enjoy.
I've been reading this series, loving the story even though it started to slow down in some of them. Well this book made me so happy I stuck with it. I was rapt, the young Deshazl boy won my heart from day one but he really starts coming into his own here. I absolutely love this auther.
The thing about these series is that half the pages of each book is the same as the rest, the author repeating, explaining again and again the same thing in case you dont remember. I do like the story, i love dragons and the main character is likable, but I have to skip a lot of sections so I dont get bored.
I have been on pins and needles all through this book. I love this series so much and I can hardly stand to finish this review because I am so anxious to read the last one in the series! So well done!!
This series is the kind of fantasy comfort read that I love. It's full of action, and I love rooting for the characters. In this one, we get to see a lot more of the world, and we get some of the best battle scenes yet. There's nothing quite like aerial combat aboard a dragon.
This story continues to amaze. Fes has learned much about his connections and continues to help the dragons. The story is much more than just that. There’s a hint of a new threat. Grab a book and join me in the fight to overcome.
Fes has learned so much. How to rid the dragons of a calling. His powers have increased and he is learning to use and control it. Fes is going to try and unite the dragons and the Danbury and Try to unite the empire
Amazingly well written series, I became very invested in the characters and couldn't wait to read the next volume. At first glance a series 7 volumes long might seem daunting but I was soon snatched away into the world of Dragonwalker and couldn't put each volume down.
I am so glad that I came across this epic tale. It is on the s,America’s scope as Robert Jordan’s “The Wheel of Time” series, Terry Goodkind’s “Sword of Truth” series and dare I say it” JRTolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” series! Good reading!
