This is a re-read before tackling the second book in the trilogy, to ensure I have the needed continuity and most up-to-date information for a thorough understanding!

First and foremost, a large thank you to David L. Thompson for providing me with a copy of this publication, which allows me to provide you with an unbiased review.

In a political thriller with strong terrorist themes, David L. Thompson dazzles readers with an intricate storyline and well-developed characters. After terrorists attack

From the first page to the last page, this book had me captured. It was a binge read for me the first time through and then I slowed down for a second read through. The characters are strong, both the good and the bad. I really hope to see a sequel to this book as I'd like to follow the characters, especially the ones going off on their own to try new things. I love this genre and am astounded this is a first time effort for David Thompson. My neighbor and I exchange books all the time and I loa ...more

I won this book on Goodreads (Kindle version) for an honest review.

Typically this is not my sort of book. However, with that said this is a very well written story that has a very real horror feal to it. The author writes in a way that makes you feel this could/may actually happen. His characters are complex and realistically written. The setting of the story too is one a person can feel. This author is one to watch. He takes an every day possibility and weaves it into a story you cannot put dow

Thank you to author David Thompson for this Kindle copy of his book Dark Harvest. Also, thanks to Goodreads for hosting the opportunity.

I really liked it. Very well done for a first book. I don't recall any editing issues in the writing, however, on my Kindle, I had to read holding it in a horizontal position. In the vertical position, I experienced repeating paragraphs from one page to the next. NOT an issue for me.

Nice set of characters, nice pace throughout. A good read.

Dark Harvest is a spy thriller type of novel, which is typically not my favorite.
The FBI agent, Bradley Parsons, is tasked with "get" a terrorist, Mustafa Suleyman, who is now in the United States. This blends current news with fiction and I found that it produced a solid drama. The author extends his expertise in the procedural parts of this novel and lends to the credibility to the reader. The cat and mouse game will keep you engaged till the end.
Recommend - 3 stars.

Dark Harvest has to be one of the best mystery/espionage novels I have ever had the pleasure of reading. Dark Harvest is a thrilling novel that is the perfect novel for those looking to be taken on a dark, twisty-turny but an emotive journey. The story the reader will encounter in Dark Harvest is shocking but also sensational, and unlike anything, I have read before. As I read the book I noticed that the story is shrouded in a tremendous amount of mystery, secrecy and suspense and the reader wil ...more

Captivating Read
From the first page to the last page, this book had me captured. I did not know where/when to stop reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen next and there were just so many things happening that it was impossible to put the book down. I finished reading this book in a record time.

I thought I knew David Thompson from having worked with him, but I am absolutely pleasantly shocked that he wrote this book. Had I not known, I would have said that this book was written

Like a page torn from the newspaper. This novel is action-packed and gripping. The thrill ride story line takes the reader into the minds of both counterterrorist evil doer Mustafa Suleyman, now on US soil, and government good doer FBI NSB head Bradley Parsons. Exciting and tense with compelling main characters, David Thompson melds just enough play-by-play office and war room drama as Parsons and his growing team meticulously track the attacks in scenes played out on several unlikely battlefiel ...more

Dark Harvest by David Thompson is a must read! It was a two day, can't put it down, page turner! Since this is not my usual genre of choice, I was surprised by how quickly I became engaged in the story line and invested in the characters. Although a work of fiction, Dark Harvest is based on historical, political, and geographical truths that draw the reader into the fictional, yet totally plausible, world of terrorist and anti-terrorist organizations. It drew me in and held me captive until the ...more

Thoughtfully crafted, clever, and suspenseful, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat! Thompson has written a story that allows the reader to enter the complex world of law enforcement, politics and terrorism. His knowledge regarding the intricacies of each of these elements lends great credibility to his writing. As a former FBI Agent, I would definitely recommend this book!

A fast pace counter-terrorism novel with a great villain that you may find yourself siding with. David L. Thompson pays attention to detail during the story, mentioning many of the intelligence organizations across both sides of the Canadian and United States border.

Absolutely binge-worthy! I was caught from the beginning---A very topical and suspenseful read, reflective of the challenging times we are living in. I was drawn in from page 1 and had to binge through to see how it ended!

I thought the story was immediately engaging. The genre is reflective of the current tensions between radical religious terrorism and the US, with a hero whose insight into the Middle East gives him a unique insight and understanding. The struggles he experiences in trying to w
