The Dirty Mavericks have two rules—never betray the club and protect each other at all costs.
As the President, this family is all that matters . . . until a feisty little firecracker comes crashing into our compound with the body of a goddess and drowning in trouble.
Nova needs help, but nothing comes for free. I agree to rescue her sister from a rival club, but only if she gives her body to me exclusively. The longer she's here, the more I fall for her, but pleasure with Nova comes with jealousy, secrets, and betrayal.
I can't stop the burn in my soul for this woman, though, and between the bastards brutalizing the kids in my town, and our enemies determined to take her from me, I'm almost certain Nova will do more than burn me—this time, I may get scorched.
Too bad no one realizes I'd walk through Hellfire to keep Nova at my side and in my bed. She's mine, and I'll unleash my darkest demons to make sure she stays that way.

Lynne lives in the quiet country with a bossy mister and two little divas. If you don’t catch her with her nose in a book or her fingers scribbling on paper, she’s usually right in front of the television with her family. She loves anything that glitters and has a weird habit of collecting pens. She thinks seafood is disgusting, beach sand is the devil, and Tom Hardy is life.
If you are a fan of MC romances this one is for you and has it all. I actually liked the love story between hero and heroine, that starts with some kind of agreement, the heroine will give herself to the hero and he will save her sister’s life. It seems crude and nasty but as soon as he sees her he’s gone. And as soon as she sees him she wants him, and since she’s not a simpering virgin herself she’s ready to have him anyway. So the agreement is somehow very very fake and useless. He’s the club prez and she’s the daughter of one of the members and ex prez, a cruel man, unless the hero who’s quite fair. She needs his help because her lil sister has been kidnapped and he will find her and protect them both, if the heroine will keep her part of the agreement. ( of course we know he will help her anyway, and I suppose the heroine knows it too but she likes the big guy so she pretends to accept it) There’s an almost love at first sight that he will try to fight against, because you know after all he’s just the mean and evil prez of a mean and evil MC and can’t be too much of a softie, but after some months he will surrender and admit he loves her. He’s a cutie. She’s a badass and a feisty woman, and I liked that she didn’t give up on him when he tried to push her away because she understood he was trying to protect himself. There’s really trust and communication between those two and the main reason why I rated the book 3 stars. She never let anyone or anything come between them and it was good. It’s not really my cuppa and this one was also too long and had too much club stuff and drama to be something I can appreciate. Too much violence, sexual promiscuity and sadly there’s also rape that I think could have been avoided without taking anything off the story. The bad business the club is fighting against is human trafficking and it was very realistic but again I’m not into this kind of reading so I don’t know if I’ll read the other installments of this series. There are other interesting characters and a dog that thank god is alive in the end. I can’t cope with abuses on animals even in fiction. The hero, even if he’s a Big bad MC prez, is faithful to the heroine completely since he first met her, and that’s something for a MC book. If you can go past the scene in the beginning where the heroine goes into the club and he’s having a bj from one of his hoes… but mind, he watches her licking her lips and he comes just like that. Ha! It was fun. I wasn’t disgusted because it was him to show how much she affected him first…
I read so much MC that I'm rarely surprised, but this book had some surprises. It was real and got ugly. There was also some twists and it's going to have an evolving mystery. No, it didn't end on a cliffy and Wraith and Nova got their HEA, it just had part of the storyline left open.
Wraith was an alpha on steroids and Nova a mouthy fireball so I knew they would be combustible and I was right. This story was so much more then heat between the sheets. It dealt with serious matter like murder, trafficking, assault and vengeance. I must be more bloodthirsty then I realized, as I was in the front row screaming for blood.
I am double intrigued with Crow and can't wait for his book. Bring it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
One star read for me. I know one star is bad. Not enough background on the h for me to know what she’s been through to be the tough Latina woman she supposed to be. I know she’s Latina because EVERY character in This book tells me so. I DNFed at page 149. I was turned off at the way her nationality kept coming up, how she could hold her own, I guess because she could be just a as sarcastic and catty like the club girls? I didn’t want to keep reading to find out.
Could have been great but all the instant pairings and chemistry the parent's immediate acceptance or both Wraith and Crow was a bit much. So I skipped the middle of the book and jumped straight to the end. Plus timeline issues he was 30yo and took over as President when he retaliated for his brother going to prison for 5 years who is now out and has a 5yo??? Plus lots of mentions of previous books that were just unnecessary
The H, Wraith, is a murdering, drug dealing a$$hole. When the h, Nova, comes into the MC clubhouse and gets aroused watching him get a bj from one of the club wh*ores, I was done. These are NOT the kind of characters I want to read about. 🤮

Love Wraith & Nova’s story. Loved everything about this book. This is a great start to a new series and I’m looking forward to reading all of it. It’s a bumpy ride but I promise you’ll fall in love with it. I’m so excited for another MC series to read!
True story: One day, this book showed up and said read me. I was excited to start a new MC series, even though I knew it dealt with sensitive subjects. However, within the first couple of chapters, I was really afraid that I wouldn't be able to finish the plot. I like wild/crazy stories, but this seemed to be a little too far fetched. I didn't like the characters. I couldn't see them having a lasting relationship, and the story really wasn't anything that hasn't already been done. Something just said to keep going, it'll get better. I am really glad I listened to that instinct. I wouldn't put this in my list of favorites, but I'll definitely look for Book 2.
Nova's little sister has been kidnapped, and she'll do anything to get her back - including making a deal with the devil. When Nova walks into the Dirty Maverick's clubhouse, Wraith is instantly intrigued by the girl who struts in like she owns the place. He would have helped her anyway, but the opportunity to keep her for awhile is too overwhelming. I kind of rolled my eyes at them in the beginning. Your sister is missing. You're scared that something bad has happened to her, but you're still hitting on the biker. In my mind, Nova's priorities were messed up. It didn't instill confidence in me that this story was going to be worth finishing.
I am not sure you'll be able to notice it until you finish the book, but there's a shift that occurs as the story progresses. I don't want to say that there are hidden layers to these characters, but they undergo development that actually makes them likable. Nova is no longer just the loud mouth who won't shut up. She's the one person you want in your corner because she's not going to go down without a fight. It's the best friend, older sister, protector mentality all wrapped in one. Wraith is still the jerky president of the MC. His misogynistic ways will grate on your last nerve, but his humanity isn't dead. Wraith believes that it was buried long ago, but it starts to peak through and not just for Nova. This progression is actually what made a 1 star DNF into a 4 star read, and I can't wait for Book 2.
Lynne has never written a bad book. I have read all of her books and with each one I find that I am addicted. She really knows how to bring out all the ugly faces after tears flow. With each book I swear I am going to get through it without needing a tissue. Well, my record has not been broken. This one needed more than one tissue. It is heartbreaking and even though it is not a trigger for me, it still resonated through me. I did not see what was coming, like she has done in other books, and was blown away. Nova has lived through devastation, kidnappings, horrors no one should ever experience and she comes out of it eventually. Wraith is right there with her the entire time even though she was only a lay with no strings (at least that is what he thought). Well, sorry Wraith, Nova got under your skin and would not let go. There is so much going on in this story that you really need to pay attention. This is a gritty, no prisoners taken, story that leaves you wanting more Dirty Mavericks. Fantastic read. Lynne, you have again left me a blubbering mess.
It was nice seeing some of the Skullz Inc. guys/girls and Rage and Mickie (still waiting on their story, Lynne). Oh and Crow needs to start eating crow. Sage is too special to be treated so poorly by Crow. Next book…
A compelling tale filled with all the classic tropes you'd expect from this genre, complete with Lynne Leslie's unique spin.
While the plot or indeed characters don't stray too far away from the predictable storyline or character behavior found in motorcycle romances, "Wraith" is still a page-turner and includes so much that MC romance lovers will love.
"Wraith" has angst, characters refusing to admit how they really feel, a club that's perfectly imperfect, a president who is wonderfully redeemable, and a heroine who's as strong as she is fierce. Combined, they ensure fans of the genre will not only be left satisfied with the conclusion of the story's arc but will also be clambering for the next book, to not only continue the series arc but also discover more about secondary characters.
A well-written narrative and creation of characters with distinctive voices. Smoldering sex scenes and graphic, disturbing torture scenes that are evocative and really set the foundations of this series and readers' expectations.
Fans of dark MC romance need to add this series to their 1-click list!
“Pain breaks through the barriers and can sometimes teach us things about ourselves we didn't know. It can twist us, bend us until we are beautiful blown pieces of glass”-Juniper
First of all Lynne Leslie has some really really amazing books and this one by far has fast become one of my favorites. She really knows how to write the perfect Alpha Male who is all Predator with a soft side he keeps hidden locked away while fighting his demons in the darkness. All the while the light to their worlds are found in some of the worst and some of the best places.
In the Dirty Mavericks book 1, we are greeted with Wraith and Nova’s Luscious story that is so full of passion, desire, mystery, and darkness that is overcome by the light all the while trying to find out who is doing the dark and dirty things that has to be brought to its knees to pay for their sins.
So much happens in Wraith that you will be on the edge of your seat begging for more, Action-Packed to the core just the way Lynne Likes to write them. Fair warning this book does touch on subject matter that may trigger you but be advised this book isn't for the faint of heart and for 18+ mature adults
This was a good opener to the series and new author to me. I enjoyed the writing style and the depth of the character development in this book. I do think some additional editing would have been beneficial because some of the dialogue veered off into cheesy and repetitive, there were some grammar issues, and the flow became slowed down towards the middle. There are some bug triggers in this book as a warning to other readers, so be aware. I felt that for the most part they were handled very well and respectively. While I rationally understood one of the ending scenes with Wraith and Nova right after he claims her at the club, it seemed pretty off to how most people would recover from that specific trauma. I know that it was a method of taking back control, but at least the way it was written, it didn’t work for me at all. There was definite chemistry between Nova and Wraith, and I loved that he didn’t just immediately want a relationship with her (despite the intense insta-lust) - but after the crap Wraith said and did I expected and needed a much bigger and painful grovel from him. I’m planning to give the second book a chance because I’m super intrigued by Crow.
The Dirty Mavericks have two rules—never betray the club and protect each other at all costs.
If you are looking for a new dark, gritty MC series with hot alpha bikers with women who can bring them to their knees then add this to your TBR now. This is the authors first MC novel and I wasn't sure what to expect but she exceeded all my expectations.
Wraith is the prez of The Dirty Mavericks and Nova comes to the club to ask for help as her little sister has been kidnapped. Sparks fly between Wraith & Nova and I enjoyed the journey that Lynne takes her readers on.
Wraith literally gave me all the feels and angst, It doesn't happen often but I teared up a few times during this story.
Wraith was well written and the secondary characters left you wanting more of their back stories. Next up is Crow and my heart is already hurting for his story. I cannot wait to read more. Lynne has laid a great foundation for this series.
This was my first book by this author and I cant say I was disappointed the story was well written and captured me from the start the secrets betrayals the loyally made the book. The subject matter for the story is always a difficult one but when we'll written it gives you the emotions of it and lynne also ensures the factual information is given at the end of the book with the numbers and support of need
Nova is sassy independent and a go getter and will do what needs to be done to protect the ones she loves and that what makes wraith so twisted up about not used to this from women but he is also fighting a inner war between the man in the club and the man tht his blood family know and needs to fine the balance aswell as keep club family blood and his town safe. There is a seriousness to this book but due to lynne clear ability to write she manages to get it across without the romantic side of it get in the way
There were so many things in this book that I normally wouldn’t read if I had known they were in here . I’m glad I didn’t know because I would have missed out on a great story . That being said there are some tough topics broached in this book. If you have any triggers then this book isn’t for you .
Nova came to the club when her sister is kidnapped. Wraith the president of the Mc made a deal with her to get her sister back but Nova has to pay him with her body . Now when Wraith did this I was pissed. I pretty much hated him for extorting sex from Nova when he knew she was desperate to save her sister.
Crow is dead to me after what he did to Nova’s sister . He crushed my heart and then stomped it to be sure I was dead . I don’t know that he is redeemable but we will find out in the next book.
This is a great read but beware of triggers and fasten your seatbelt for the rollercoaster ride .
Oh me, oh my! This was a great read that took me on one heck of a ride. My emotions were all over in this book. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and yelled, and I wanted to smack the crap out of some of the characters for being such a***s. Wraith and Nova had an instant connection that both fought Ty hard. Wraith doesn’t do relationships due to the drama they can cause and doesn’t want a weakness that can be exploited. Nova is one strong and feisty Latina who speaks her mind. I loved that about her. See is so strong even when she thinks she is not. Nova keeps her heart guarded because she knows of she doesn’t, it is going to get shattered and she won’t be able to pick up all the pieces.I think Lynne did a fabulous job with the storyline and all the moving pieces in it. I recommend starting this series and make sure you have tissues and soft things around.
Oh my gosh! I LOVE Wraith and Nova's story. This girl is FIERCE as he*l and has bigger bal*s than most men. She's strong and confident, but I think she has met her match in Wraith. Well, it could be the other way around. These two are perfect for each other. Nova (or Firecracker, as Wraith calls her) and Wraith burn brighter and faster than anything you can imagine. They knew when they first layed eyes on each other that something was there. Then there's Crow. I cannot wait for his book. He completely had me heartbroken. Lynne Leslie has written us a book that has all of the angst, heat, surprises, chaos, action, twists and turns we could possibly ask for, and she's tied it all up in a kickas* book titled Wraith.
5 stars is not enough for this book, it's dirty, gritty, real and holds no punches, the characters are deep and you as a reader really feel like you know them, you can connect with them. Wraith is basically an a*sehole but one who actually had a good childhood, so he's grounded and their is still a lot of good in him which one fiesty, no shit taking latina brings out in him. I love that Nova also has loving parents, a career and get own home. One of my favorite moments is her cussing wraith out in Spanish, something she loves doing, without realising he and Crow are bilingual. This story, their story takes you through so many emotions as the beauty of them slowly falling in love is juxtaposed against the horror and terror that Nova and Sage go through. I can't wait for Crows story.
”She just threw a knife at me. I don’t know whether to scold her ass or fuck it. Though, the latter option sounds much more fun.”
i think i spent a majority of this book angry at the men in it. eventually Wraith got it together, but man did he almost lose a good thing.
but Crow…. ugh, i spent the entire book wanting to yell at him to get therapy. and the way he acted… it made me so mad at him i don’t think there’s enough groveling to make up for how he treated Sage 🤬 tbh don’t think i’ll read his book bc of the way he acted.
however, give me more Juniper. she sounds awesome
no virgins condom/no condom OW drama exhibitionism
CW: r@pe of the fmc (off page & not by the mmc), kidnapping, sexual assault of side characters
3.5. TRIGGERS: Rape, kidnapping. Good story. I think you should read other books first as they are referring to other characters (not that it has to do with the current story). A little too much repetition. I don't like reading the same situation from different points of view. The MC didn't attempt to go into detail about how the kidnapped Sage (a 2nd time). Lastly, did anyone notice the ages were wrong? Nova was 28 and her sister Sage was 17. Yet it was stated that Sage was born when Nova was seven. Not a cliffhanger, but the story doesn't end.
I love a good MC romance and this one is my favorite so far this year. Nova is desperate to find her sister and comes to the Dirty Mavericks MC to ask her estranged father, who happens to be the President, or so she thought. Wraith is immediately taken with Nova, and agrees to help her for a price. The chemistry between them is off the charts, but with every page, secrets, lies, insecurities, and betrayals threatens their bond. It sucked me in from the first page and I could not read it fast enough.
I love everything about this book! I love the Alpha male that tries to hide his heart and I love the badass female that isn’t afraid to stand up to him. There are several other characters that are in the book that I can’t wait to see if their stories will be told. I’m definitely anticipating the next book in the series! I read this book on my kindle and it was the first book I read by this author. I will definitely be buying this series in book form and checking out her other books.
Nova needs Wraiths help to get her sister away from some bad men. We have heard that things are linked together, Nova shows up with a missing sister; while the MC is looking for missing girls. A contract was made up between the two for Wraith’s help; unfortunately that brought the bad guys out to hurt her. This is one wild ride, not just for these two but for the while MC. I cannot wait to read the next one in this series.
This is a dark, gritty and action packed start to a new series. Nova and Wraith are perfect for each other. She is fierce as hell but she has met her match in Wraith. Nova comes to the club and imploring it’s members to help find her little sister who has been kidnapped by a rival MC. Secrets, lies and betrayal follow Nova. Will Wraith and his club be able to get the sister back before they burn up in the fire that follows in Nova’s wake?
This was a complete page turner from beginning to end.
There’s so much good to unpack from this book, the author gave so much attention to detail. And was very careful with how she handled sensitive issues. The characters she created showed froth throughout the story. The plot was a little all over the place sometimes and I get why but it was hard for me to keep up at times. However, this story was a good one and I cannot wait for the next book.
OMG, this was an emotional rollercoaster from the start, Wraith and Nova are fabulous characters, he's the Alpha President, she's the fiesty Latina who grabs him by the ..... and doesn't let go. She asks him and the club for help when her sister is taken, there is surprises, secrets and betrayals which make the pages turn quickly, as well as edge of your seat nail biting. I love the VP Crow and Sage, Steel, Phantom, Blade, oh heck, I love them all.
WoW! I’m floored! Wraith was amazing! I can’t believe that this was the author’s first MC novel. At first I was a bit skeptical because all of the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book but I’m glad I read it. If you love hot alphas on bikes and feisty woman who kick ass then you should definitely read Wraith!!!
Wow .. hold on it's gonna be a bumpy ride. Benjamin and novas story is so crazy you can't help but fall in love with it. She goes and ask the president of the Mc to help her save her sister. Wraith will do anything to have this lady in his bed and I mean anything. Both walking in blind. But when the fireworks come flying both are lost in this crazy love story.
It's not often that while reading I say, "man this would be an amazing movie!" I loved everything about this book. The author did an amazing job with very sensitive subjects. She made me fall in love with all of the characters. The world building was simply amazing! If you're looking for a book that's dark and dirty.... Look no further. I highly recommend Wraith and can't wait for book 2 (Crow).
