THE TRUTH IS SCARIER THAN FICTION

Kerri Wolf has joined the crew of The Seekers, a show that searches for paranormal phenomena, as they explore a supposedly haunted old inn on the road between Philadelphia and Harrisburg. The place is famous for its warm welcome—and infamous for being the site of an ax murder rampage in the 1920s. They’ve barely begun when a very real dead

I want to thank the publisher Harlequin-Mira (US and Canada) and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this very good novel by Heather Graham!

This is a stand-alone novel and although it was #28 in the series if you enjoy the paranormal with some historical crime background and a touch of romance, then don't hesitate to read this book.

The story revolves around Keri Wolf, a historical crime novelist, Carl, a successful young and handsome actor who has purchased a historical tavern and inn

It's been a few years since I read a Heather Graham book, and I don't honestly know why I got out of reading her since she's one of my favorite paranoamal authors. But I'm really happy that' I'm getting back into this series and discovering all of the ghostly fun again. And I had no problem jumping back into this series with such a late book, so I'd say it can definitely be read as a standalone.

The story did start off a little slow as all of the characters were

Although I have read many books by this author, I have not read this particular series. I should have started from the beginning, as I always recommend to readers, but the opportunity arose from Netgalley. That being said, this one reads easily as a stand alone.

The Seekers is a show that searches for paranormal phenomena. Keri Wolf has recently joined the crew as she has the gift of being able to see and talk to the dead.

When I was offered this book by the publisher through NetGalley, I wasn't sure it was a good idea to jump into the 28th book in the series but I took a chance anyway and found I enjoyed this police procedural with paranormal undertones very much. This actually might have been a good book to begin with because a new member is joining the special FBI task force known as the Krewe of Hunters, one Joe Dunhill, late of the Savannah Police Department, who is now going to train with the FBI.

The Seekers by Heather Graham
As always with the Krewe of Hunters buckle yourself in for mystery and ghosts! Was not a fast moving plot but it kept me interested and engaged and had characters that were real for me. Thank you Netgalley and the Publishers for this book and allowing me to leave my opinion.

The Seekers is the 28th book in the Krewe of Hunters series. That's a lot of books! I'm not familiar with the series at all, but I was able to read this as a standalone fairly well. The premise is unique and exciting with this group of people who travel around and kind of catch or capture ghosts. It's definitely different in a good way. There are historical tidbits throughout that were informative and interesting. The characters are well developed and likeable, but I think some background ...more

The Seekers is book 28 in the Krewe Hunters series by Heather Graham. I have never read anything by this author but my dad raves about her so when given the opportunity to read this book I jumped at the chance. Although this is along way into a long series I had absolutely no trouble following the story and the characters. In fact I feel the need to now go back to where it all began and read the series from the start. For me this was a very quick and fun read but not without its drama and gore. ...more

It has been ages since I read a Kewl of Hunters book by Heather Graham, and I was overjoyed when I got the opportunity to read this.

A kidnapping followed by a murder of the FBI agent and a ghost in white got the Kewl of Hunters, a branch of FBI dealing with the paranormal, to investigate. There was already the TV crew of ghost hunters in the haunted inn, of which historian novelist Keri was a part of. Agent Joe Dunhill along with boss Dallas met them at the inn where the dead body was posed

The seekers
A paranormal mystry that follows ghosts from the past, more recent deaths and a crew of people all trying to get it on camera while an investigation takes place.
The best way to describe this is on the show Supernatural there is a show within it called Ghostfacers. They hunt ghosts but dont really know what to do. These people know what to do but are sort of getting in the way of the investigation but also bringing forth important information that they wouldnt have been able to find

A paranormal mystery. This is book #28 in the series but I felt it was a stand alone. I haven't read the other books in this series. I found this engaging and I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

An intense murder-mystery that kept me turning the pages. Graham never fails to pull me in even on my twenty-seven adventure with the Krewe.

Kerri Wolf was asked to be a historian consultant during a Seekers Investigation of the haunted inn, owned by the famous movie star Carl Brentwood. Graham did an excellent job of feeding us local history, the inn’s background and laying out the grizzly murders.

Things turn upside down on their first night of recording and investigating when a dead body is

Reviewed for Romancing the Readers Blog: https://romancingthereaders.blogspot....

I'm going to let you in on a little secret, I haven't read a book in this series for a while. I'm not sure why. Okay, I know why I got out of romantic suspense and some of my favorite authors went with it. It wasn't like I didn't like suspense anymore, it was I just couldn't read it.

Because of that when I was asked if I wanted to review The Seekers my first thought was, no. But I thought about it and decided to

I have now read the first book and the latest book in the Krewe of Hunters series and I think I have a grasp on what these are and how they'll fall into my reading. Diving into this book with only the knowledge of Phantom Evil, I will say that you are definitely able to read it as a standalone, but even a bit of background knowledge helps as so many elements from book 1 reappeared in book 2.

The fact that Graham takes the time to write these each as related but able to be read alone means that

The Seekers is the 28th book in the Krewe of Hunters series, but it's the first one I've read.
Picking up this book, I had some doubt that I would be able to get into it, considering I hadn't read any of the others. However, I found it surprisingly easy cause it reads like a standalone.
The entire text is flooded with suspense and I really enjoyed it. I liked the story it had to offer as well as how the characters were developed. I loved how it was written and paced, it kept my attention

For me this was just okay. There is an episode at the beginning of the book where a characters sees a ghost and then it felt like most of the book was just rehashing that original incident. I never felt a strong connection to any of the characters (though that may be because this is book 28 in the series and the first I've read so I don't know the history of these characters). Overall, I wanted more tension and more actual plot.

Heather Graham moves from Savannah to Pennsylvania in her latest series within the Krewe of Hunters series. Several characters from The Summoning return in The Seekers, one of the creepier books in this series.

A young actor, Carl Brentwood, recently bought the Miller Inn and Tavern, located between Harrisburg and Philadelphia. Because the tavern has a story behind it, and a reputation for being haunted, he invites the crew of a popular web show about haunted locations, the Truth Seekers, to

3.5 stars. The Seekers kept me turning the pages—and constantly rethinking whom I suspected in the grisly murder of an FBI agent. As usual in a Krewe of Hunters novel, the present-day mystery is tied to events in the past, the hero and heroine can both see ghosts, and their attraction is nearly instantaneous… but this time, said attraction was offset by their initial irritation with each other. Both Keri and Joe are eminently likable, and despite their mutual prickliness, I had no question where ...more

I have only read one other book in this rather long series, but I have started seeking them out :) I had no problems getting into this book and didn't feel like I was missing anything (although there clearly are recurring characters) - it works fine as a stand-alone.

This book takes place at a historic inn where a gruesome murder took place many years ago. Paranormal investigators are doing a show on the place (we've all seen similar shows), when events start repeating themselves. I liked the mix

Each one of these books in the Krewe of Hunters series is meticulously researched with fascinating historical facts of each location, which always adds to the story lines. I have read all of them and enjoyed each and every one. This is another great addition to the "Krewe" which I just loved! Well done, once again, Ms. Graham and keep them coming!

This was my second in the Krewe of Hunters series and I decided to give the series another try as Heather Graham is so popular. Unfortunately, my opinion stayed the same: this author is just not for me. I didn't like anything about the book, not the story, not the characters or the writing. Sorry!

One of the Krewe of Hunters, though not as compelling as previous installments. In this tale, Keri Wolf, a writer, realizes that she has the gift of seeing ghosts even as she tries to understand what happened at an old inn thought to be haunted. While there, a murder occurs in much the same way a previous crime had occurred. Brought in to solve that murder is Joe Dunhill, a former detective, who also has the gift and may be joining the Krewe if he can make it through the FBI training. While Keri ...more

This book was a bit like a Criminal Minds episode with ghosts thrown in. I think this will appeal to readers who are looking for a crime mystery thriller with paranormal elements. Although this book is part of a series, it may be read as a standalone.
