Provides information on the earthquake and volcanic eruptions in various regions of the world, major quakes and eruptions throughout history, and geologic and scientific terms.
This is a marvelous book, a true encyclopedia of earthquakes and volcanoes. I have gotten more useful information from this book than most of them I have read about the subjects.
It contains a lot of interesting information; however, I wish it would have included more information for some sections. For example, the Kansas paragraph mentions only a single earthquake but not its Richter scale strength; it also sounds like the state has experienced other earthquakes but it doesn't mention how often this occurs or how many there were.
