Finally, I finished reading this book! But I just got it with the help of an audiobook. I feel that my knowledge of English is improving every day, but sometimes I get tired of studying a foreign language on my own.

Who is Muhammad Ali is an amazing book about Muhammad Ali's whole life. It is a great book for anyone who loves to learn and read about other people's life. I recommend this book to anyone who likes non-fiction books and biographies. Who is Muhammad Ali tells about his triumphant victory over George Foreman in 1974, how he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and why he joined the Nation of Islam as well as why he changed his name from Chassis Clay to Muhammad Ali. So if you want to read and learn about Muhammad Ali, I recommend you should start reading Who is Muhammad Ali?

Muhammed Ali was a young boy who started wanting to get revenge on the person who stole his bike, but he was introuduced into boxing instead and was a prodigy from the day he started. So he continued with his career and got famous and even changed his religion. Then he was the most known boxer in the world for some of his actions and decisions that he made.

Who was Muhammad Ali was a very good book. It told you a lot about his childhood and a lot about his adult life. This was probably my favorite book of the who was series. Muhammad Ali was a Boxer that was also a very good example of standing by what you believe in. Muhammad was a very loud funny person who bragged about himself often. He was loved by many people. During his professional boxing career he got drafted into the army but believe that the fighting was wrong. When they called his name and he ignored it, soon after he was put into jail because of this. But he got released because they understood what he was trying to say, so instead of that they prevented him from boxing for three years. Muhammad wasn't bothered by this because he could still make money by talking to colleges and encouraging them to do what they love. This book is great and I would recommend it to everyone.

I really like the way the writer describes the good and bad impacts he makes. Celebrities back then are known for their good things and the bad things they did are just news. For an example, Muhammed Ali was sent to jail for 5 years because he wouldn't fight for America against Vietnam. That lost him his one and only boxing title.

My rating on Who is Muhammad Ali? by James Buckley Jr. is 5 stars. Who is Muhammad Ali? Is about Muhammad Ali’s life from when he was a kid until he died.

Who is Muhammad Ali? By James Buckley Jr gives important details from when Cassius was a kid. Here are important parts of his life. Cassius Clay was born January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. Growing up as a kid Cassius had one sibling. He had always wanted to be a boxer since he was a kid, and his dream came true. In fact Cassius Clay ended up being one of the best fighters ever. He won 3 heavyweight Championships of the World. He got the golden gloves and more titles. In 1964 Cassius changed his religion to Muslim and was in a group called Nation Of Islam. This is when he changed his name to Muhammad Ali. He said Cassius Clay was his slave name. Muhammad Ali was married 4 times and had 9 kids. One of the biggest part of Muhammad Ali’s life was he got the award, Presidential Medal of Freedom. This is the highest medal you can get not being in the military. It was given to him by President George W. Bush. On June 3, 2016 he dies in Scottsdale Arizona. He is still today remembered as a leader to many people.

I recommend Who is Muhammad Ali? because if you love learning about new people and you want to read a sweet short book this is perfect for you. I recommend this book to anyone.

The book "Who is Muhammad Ali" is about Muhammad Ali's life and how he became Muhammad Ali. The book tells you about his life when he was Cassius Clay, and about his boxing career.
I liked the book "Who is Muhammad Ali" because it was a interesting book all about this guys life and why he chose to live the life he lived. It also is a book about someone who never gives up and is always striving to reach his goals no matter who is in his way.
I recommend this book to boys and maybe a few girls who like boxing because this book is about a very famous boxers life. I say that mainly boys should read this book because it is about a boxer and most girls don't like books about boxers because they aren't interested in that kind of stuff.

This is a very thorough telling of Muhammad Ali's life. Muhammad Ali had many accomplishments and made many changes (both personally and socially) throughout his life. Though this book paints a picture of Ali as a champion but not a great man of character (if you prefer those who are humble) it creates enough connection for sympathy to be felt by the end of the book. I am not a fan of Ali's attitude as a boxer but I think that over all he had a thoughtful career and life and I think this is reflected in this book.

I used this book for my 5th grade class read-aloud. My students responded very well to this book and it was a great read for Black History month. They loved the pictures and the extra inserts on subjects such as boxing and the Vietnam War. My students were coming to me everyday excited to learn more about him.

I liked it. He won the Olympic gold medal. He won the heavy weight three times. He changed his name from Cassius Clay, but it was a slave name cause a white person gave it to his family cause they were slaves once, so he changed it to Muhammad Ali.

Good Reads #1 Who is Muhammad Ali?

1.
This fantastic book, Who is Muhammad Ali? by James Buckley Jr. has many interesting facts about Muhammad Ali. Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr also known by Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. “He became world famous with the name Muhammad Ali, but he was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky”(Buckley 7). Ali’s former religion was Christianity. His parents would take Ali and his siblings to church every Sunday. Ali was such a fast runner that he would race against the school bus while his friends were cheering him on. Ali was a nice friend and he was someone that people could trust. Something that Ali will never forget was racism. During the 1940’s racism was very strict in the South, especially in Kentucky. Blacks and whites weren’t allowed to swim and go to school together. One day Cassius found out that someone had stolen and, he was so mad that he demonstrated to the officer how he would like to punch the person the thief. The policeman, Joe Martin invited Muhammad Ali to try out for a boxing class. After practice, Ali was so good that he was getting popular on Tv shows such as Tomorrow's Champions. Ali had so much potential at boxing that he even came at 4:00 a.m. just to practice. Ali was so shy in front of girls that when he had his first kiss, he fainted. At the age of 18, he was becoming better and better and had won in the Amateur League. In the Amateur League, he won 100 games and lost only 8. One day Ali wanted for Dundee a boxing coach to train him so that he could win the Golden Glove and the Olympics, but Dundee didn’t believe in him and rejected the offer. Ali did not give up and won the Golden Glove and the Amateur Athletic Union in the same year. Cassius worked really hard for representing the U.S.A. National Boxing Team for the Olympics. In 1956, Muhammad Ali was the winner of the Olympics . Ali then converted to Islam at 1964. He then running into problems with the army and got arrested for not joining it. In 1981 Ali took his retirement from boxing and was known as the best boxer in the whole entire world. In 1998 he was named The Messenger of Peace, and 1999 he was named one of the greatest athletes that have ever lived in the world. He was also awarded in 2005 Presidential Medal of Freedom. In conclusion, even though Muhammad Ali spent most of his time practicing and playing boxing he also helped the world by giving it peace.

2. The book, Muhammad Ali written by James Buckley Jr. is a very inspirational book that tells a story of a man who his overcame troubles to become one of the best boxers in the world. In the book Who is Muhammad Ali, I have five facts that I would like to share about after reading this book. The first fact that I learned in Who is Muhammad Ali is that Ali converted Islam. The second fact that I learned is Muhammad Ali won a gold medal in the Olympics in 1956. The third fact that I learned is the real name of Muhammad Ali is Cassius. “He became world famous with the name Muhammad Ali, but he was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky”(Buckley 7). Another fact that I have learned was Muhammad Ali had a younger brother named Rahman Ali. The last Fact That I’ve learned is that the first time a girl kissed him he fainted. Muhammad Ali became a famous person because of his successful career in boxing. I know that the Who is Muhammad Ali is a biography because it talks about his life events and accomplishments. This why in the book, Muhammad Ali written by James Buckley Jr. is a very inspirational book that makes people want to know more about Muhammad Ali.

3.
The book that I had read Who is Muhammad Ali? Is a book that I would recommend to 8th and 7th graders. Although it is 120 pages which are a number that is the very small number of an 8th Grade, this book was more quality than quantity. This means that this book has more enthusiastic and interesting facts than boring quantitative facts that no one wants to read about. There are some words that were hard to understand, but other were also easy. This book is very interesting because it tells a great story about Muhammad Ali. Once someone picks up the book, they would never want to put it down again. Muhammad Ali is still known from his successful career where he had made 37 knockouts, 56 wins, and 5 losses. Muhammad Ali had almost all the trophies and medals that a boxer could possibly think of. He won the WBA, WBC, The Ring, Undisputed, and Lineal. All of these titles were in the heavyweight class which is a difficult division. This book is mostly recommended for 8th Graders because it is neither basic but a high standard level for Middle Schoolers, in which the reader need to know most of their knowledge to understand the vocabulary of this book.

Who Is Muhammad Ali? by James Buckley Jr is an okay book that is packed with information. Having the default of not always having a captivating storyline because of it being nonfiction may say that it is unfair to judge a book on it's ability to catch a reader. This book is nothing but information and succeeds in having it. However, the way the information is described does not fulfill the information's true captivating ability. The book scans over the life of Muhhammmed Ali, one of the greatest boxers ever to be seen in the ring. Cassius Clay was a boy of agility and energy, born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was always on his feet playing. When he decided to enter the ring as a young boy because his bike was stolen he worked very hard, training and was in the ring before school. He won many amature fights and even the Golden Gloves and a gold medal in the Summer Olympics of 1956. He then decided to go professional. Ali won many fights and even the Heavyweight championship, he surprised the world time and time again, both in the ring and outside. One of the biggest surprises was outside of the ring when he changed his religion. Cassius Clay went from being Christian to Muslim and Cassius Clay to Muhammad Ali. He won many fights, awards, and popularity in his boxing career. I'd recommend this book to anybody interested in Muhammad Ali, boxing, or any fact packed books.
